Wasn't being misogynistic at all, should have probably made my comment a bit more clear on the first half of it. First half wasn't really directed at cheating or anything of the sort, it was directed at mamono being more physically attractive than normal women. Yes by all things normal, most mamono do look weird and yes they aren't real, or if the different universe theory is right, they just ain't in OUR universe. But they've got demonic beauty and attractive bodies, can give men boners in under a second and have women looking like niagra falls is going down their legs.
As for the cheating part of my last post? Not saying only women cheat, mean to say that would be very ignorant. But given just how hot and lustful mamono are, for women like that to not cheat on their mate/boyfriend/husband is pretty damn amazing.
Well, now, 'that' is a whole different kettle of fish(who the hell puts fish in kettles, anyway?) right there. You meant your words one way, I read them another. 's one of the things I hate about internet communication. It's easy for things to get lost in the translation. I apologize for getting a bit defensive there. But understand that it's just because some of my favorite women are real-world women. ~_^ ....Also. I don't care what the Japanese say, that look NOTHING like a wink. It looks like an eyebrow floating over empty space. And that's just creepy.
Honestly, by all things normal I wouldn't say mamono look weird. I'd say they look exotic. And unlikely as it is, there's the vague, narrow, unmeasured possibility that there are alien species out there that look exactly like some of the mamono even in our universe.

That's a pretty unfounded assumption.
Not unfounded or unbased. Possibly incorrect, but the assumption was not made without a foundation, however shakey. I draw that assumption based on specific bits of information scattered throughout some of the profiles, especially Mersé's. There's a specific line in there that makes the suggestion to me; "Her mother, that woman who hurt her and abandoned her father, was a human woman. It was because human women are weak in body and heart."
It suggests personal hurt to me, and serves as a foundation for my statement. Now, with that said, I'm also aware that it is just a work of fiction, but I'm also aware that anytime we write a work of fiction, we put bits and pieces of ourselves into it. There's not a single author who doesn't.
Does it mean my assumption is correct? No. But it does, again, mean that there was a basis to the assumption. Whether the assumption is correct or not, it is a valid one for someone who hasn't met the man to make based on some of his work.
Unfortunately, I fall in that category. I've never met the man and it's highly unlikely I ever will. The closest I can come to knowing 'him' is through his work. Which, I should add, is quite entertaining.
I'm all for fantasy, but the reality of his situation wouldn't be all roses and butterflies and buttseks.'
This is an aspect of MGE that people don't seem to understand. Talking about the "reality" of the situation is a waste of time. MGE is a fantasy only because it doesn't exist but if someone found themselves suddenly transported to a real MGE-like world, everything would be "roses and butterflies and buttseks." That's the whole point of this lavish and seemingly perfect world. KC has said from the beginning that everyone's story is followed by a happy ending because he wanted to create a place where nothing could wrong you. He never thought about how these concepts might play out in our 'real' world because that was never of any importance.
My point: Saying stuff like, " In reality, you'd get real tired of your Lamia wife's jealousy real quick" servers no point because the MGE world and it's inhabitants weren't created with the intention of them ever being real or having an effect on our real world.
I understand full well the implications of fantasy. My comment was directed specifically at someone whom I thought at the time was making a direct attack against women. They have since explained what they meant, and I have since(earlier in this post) apologized for misunderstanding. Had I not misunderstood them, not a bit of my OP would have been posted to begin with.
