The vampire sighed at Nikolai's words. "You're an ignorant fool... alas, ignorance can be cured. I am a Vampire.. I do not get tired. I am... wounded, so to speak. I can keep going if I wanted to.." She took a deep sigh.. gesturing to the body. "When the time is right, I will resurrect this priest from the ranks of the dead.. for I need his assistance in finding his killer.. and surely, he saw him, before he was killed. The time, though.. is not right. I have very little Spirit Energy to spare.. if I were to resurrect him, it would exhaust me, maybe even kill me." With a weary look in her eye, she looked into Nikolai's own. "When you finish... repairing yourself. Will you assist me in finding this murderer? I would hate for him to claim more innocent lives."

"Oh! Wait, no! Xero! This man is still alive!" Siegden called out across the armory, trying to help Abernathy onto his feet. "He smells particularly singed, though!"
"Damn vandals..." Abernathy cursed under his breath, dusting off his uniform. His attention then turned to the Licker. "And just what are you? I can see your brain, and you look like you don't have skin."
"I'm an artificial monster... this knight has dubbed me a "Licker". Original, right?"
"Very..." Abernathy looked at the Wonderland Knight. "So who are you, sir Knight?"
"I am Siegden of Wonderland, good sir. I see from your uniform that you are an officer of the law! Good tidings!"
"Tidings aren't as good as you imagine. I'm to believe we've got someone after us, armed and dangerous with explosive weaponry... where is Xero?"
"Ah, I believe good Xero is retrieving his armor, as we speak!"
"Well then.." Abernathy's expression softened a bit. "Can't wait to see what he looks like, dressed for battle."

Vinessa looked into Armstrong's eyes.. smiling faintly as her own eyes began to close.
"I'll never forget you. Goodbye.." With her last words, VInessa returned to rest, her body fading into dust, and blowing away in the wind. All that remained was the dress that Armstrong selflessly lended her in her time of need.
Velma and Glendias observed from a distance. They saw the woman in Armstrong's arms, the crowd of four others watching her, and the woman herself fade away. Glendias merely sighed under her breath.. trying not to react. keeping her cool in front of her sister. Velma, on the other hand, held her hands to her ribcage, just over where her heart would be. "Oh... how saddening." She whispered. "I hope the afterlife treats her fairly.."
"It will, sis. Don't worry." Glendias added on, whispering something to Velma. At this, she looked at Glendias strangely, but then nodded, running off out of sight. Now that she was alone, Glendias approached Armstrong, curious to see if she would be spotted before she could get into touching range.

"Yeah, well how can we help you? We're just beef and milk on a farm, y'know?" Hoicho folded her arms across her chest skeptically. Then, a Holstaur walked up and began to side with Hoicho.
"Plus.. well, you haven't really explained much of yourself. You already know o-our plight.. what is yours?" It seemed whether he wanted to or not, Pat would have to ask and answer questions.

"No one will protect you." A wispy voice lashed at Click from within the palace.. though it was unclear where from.
