This is yet another Mamono I had generated from a suggestion made by my site friend BTR. She's a handful, if I do say so myself. If anyone would like to wander and find where is she found, mosie over at http://monstergirlencyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:JeielYozama/Fan-Made_Mamono_Realms_-_OZ_(Premediate) to know what it's like to be in OZ. Then head to the fields outside Emerald City and there, you'll see this latest addition: the Deadly Poppie-----
Deadly Poppie
Family: Alraune
Type: Plant
Disposition: Lustful, mischievous, sometimes sadistic
Habitat: Fields around Emerald City ( stretching as far as the Munchkinland borders), Demon Realm valleys
Diet: Soil nutrients, blood, men's spiritual energy
An unusual specie of Alraune found in Oz. She was originally conceived at the height of the old war between Oz and the veiled kingdom of Ev. Fearing their adversary would storm the front once Oz's barrier fails, the former ruler created a lifeform from an ordinary Alraune and the blood of the royal family of Oz to protect Emerald City from invaders. And it worked. From the day she came to existence, no foreign kingdom dared attack the capital, knowing how dangerous these Mamonos could be. All soldiers and knights fall to their passionate hold...
Deadly Poppies are bright-red petaled Alraunes, bearing crimson tendrils up their arms and body tinted in dark green. Their hairs are colored mauve to deep blue, and the flowers stemming on their crown flaming yellow. Mirroring their loud colors are their energetic nature. They sing and dance against the blowing breeze, and no two Poppies have the same rhythm in their heads. They have shrill voices that easily captivate men. Also, two giant vines grow from undeneath their main flower, able to lash and strike at anyone who dares perturb them.
Poppies release a fragrance alright, but it's not the same as the normal Alraune. They produce a faint scent that upon inhalation, causes diziness and inability to pursue movement. Gradually, the person who smells their scent falls into immobility, like a sort of relaxant had drugged them. It is an inherent poison that only their specie possess. One whiff stops one's moving. An entire field of them, producing the same smell instantly shuts down all functions of the body, rendering a person in a catatonic state of slumber. No manner of man or spell can wake him or her up, except by bringing the person away from the fields and from their fragrance. (But dare I say it, good luck getting far from a Poppie field's reach)
When Poppies spot a man (or even a woman), they lure him or her by the means of a premediate smell - a scent that pulls them into a trance, letting them walk to the fields without their acknowledgement. Once their target comes within range they shower their true fragrance and stop his/her actions. Their vines then do the task of dragging the person to their embrace.
The poison a Poppie emits is powerful. Not only does it puts a person in a deathly slumber, but as it relaxes the entire bodily system, the person begins to dream their deepest thoughts and desires, so the victim looks like he/she is enjoying her state of mind. Outside, the Alraune copulates with the man (or if a woman, showers her in nectar to transform as one of them). In the case of a male, she takes in an enormous amount of semen for her germination, as well as feed off his SE to produce huge doses of her nectar.
The Poppie's nectar isn't as powerful as an ordinary Alraune's. Given the quandary of equivalent exchange, it had become a fluid designed to cushion the man in his position during sex (this nectar has a jelly-like appearance and normal Honeybees can't use it). The man, in his dreams, indulges in his hidden desire, unaware that on the outside, the Poppie continue to swallow his seed for her own.
What is worse is that to make a man theirs, they gently nip him on the neck using developed teeth and suck small pints of his blood.Like the Vamp Mosquito, this bloodsucking method causes the area to throb in a way it seeks pleasure (thereby turning it into an erogeneous zone). The man becomes hot and in order to gain pleasure, aches for more of her In this way, he would no longer live without her. He would become her lover, with whom she recieves love and nourishment in eternal sleep and embrace.
They yearn to see their husband's faces wanting their attention. They tease by letting him off for minutes on end, then allow him to thrust into them again. Their sadistic nature is especially turned on when a man unwittingly snaps out of his sleeping trance and tries to escape their clutches. Sadly, he may never will. Now awake, he will be a slave to his own body's desire to be pleasured.
A special type of Honeybee in Oz filters their nectar once ever so often. When one flys by, they drag her in their flower and shower the sticky nectar that clings on her without delay. If a man is found inside, the Alraune shares him with the Mamono guest. They are open with others having sex with their husband, and they are loyal to him once they have his blood infused in them
In the Poppie field, also, these Mamonos are not selfish. Sometimes, they even transfer the man from one Poppie to another. They use this to allow the others to germinate as well (and give them a sporting chance to experience sexual delight).
Weakness-wise, these Alraune's scent are washed off on sleet, snow or rain. When they close their buds from the weather, their fragrance system is automatically tuned off, so a person may wake up, see his state of affairs and flee. But, I hardly think the male would do that. (If one did make precautions and cloaked his or herself with anti-sleeping magic though, it's a sure fire way to work).
Poppies are rare outside of the famed 'Field o Flowers' of Emerald City. It is due to the fact they only grow widespread on Demon Realms of great intensity. Even when they scatter seeds, these end up in a new part that soon branches to the main meadow where all Poppies grow. This has alarmed Oz, because in the recent years the Poppie field had vastly grown to a point it may overrun the 4 quadrants. To keep them in check, a regular caretaker (usually a non-living Mamono assigned every year) prunes them dutifully to be regrown in a new location to bloom. This explains that in Demon Realm valleys, a Poppie or two can be found singing a tune.
(DOne! SHe is the longest I've made thus far! Who wants to rate? Lemme know!)
