The Tig is a subspecies of Wyvern well known for their wild and violent disposition. They are easily identifiable by their orangish yellow scales and blue stripes making them reminiscent of a Jinko. Unlike other wyverns their wings are heavily muscled with large sharp claws that can easily grip the ground or tear through flesh. Their legs are also powerfully built to help propel them across the ground and their large strong tail allows them to balance themselves easily or lash their opponents with. Their horns are smaller and are more for display than to serve any real function. They often have a trim athletic build that allows them to move quickly and hit hard. When angered the skin on her claws and below her eyes become flushed red with blood. Like all dragons they have the ability to revert back to their primal form from before the current demon lord.
Unlike most Wyverns Tigs are generally poor fliers. They have trouble taking off and landing, often choosing to use all four limbs to hurl themselves into the air as a way to get in the air instead of actually taking flight and simply closung their wings and falling out of the sky instead of trying to land normally. Once in the air, they are often slow and cumbersome in comparison to other wyverns. However, when they are in the air, their stamina is without comparison. A Tig can fly for hundreds of miles without rest and they do so frequently, traveling from place to sate their wander lust and find prey. On the ground Tigs are much more comfortable, they move quickly and with great agility. Often when on the hunt or in a fight Tigs will drop on all fours to stalk her prey and to charge with reckless abandon. The claws on their wings ate their primary weapon, which they use to pin their prey to the ground and ferociously rip it apart before finishing it with their powerful jaws.
Tigs are known for their violent, aggressive nature. They enjoy hunting and fighting more than any other pass time. When they find large, powerful prey they will often hunt it over and over again regardless of whether or not they're hungry. Often they will have so much fun with their hunts that they lose track of things and kill far more than they need, often finding dozens of corpses from large prey animals is the mark of a Tig having entered the region. Similarly, when they see another mamono or human who looks like they can fight, the Tig will charge at them with reckless abandon wanting to fight. The idea that the other person may not want to fight or that others wouldn't have fun fighting never comes into her head. Tigs are also easily angered, and when angered they tend to go into a berserker rage and rampage across the area. Violently lashing out at whatever catches their attention without thought.
Unlike other dragon family mamono they have very little ability in terms of magic. They have no elemental powers or magical spells at their disposal. Instead Tigs prefer charging at their opponents, slaming into them with their entire body and overwhelming them by ferociously slashing with their claws. Tigs quite literally throw themselves into a fight. Despite their rather direct methods, Tigs are not without skill. When they miss their charge, they will sink their claws into the ground and slide in such a way as to turn around and charge again without losing any momentum. They can also use their voice as a weapon, roaring with enough force to strike down their foe with a concussive blast at short range. Particularly skilled Tigs can even focus this roar into an invisible beam to attack foes at range however this is the only ranged ability Tigs have aside from hurling large objects at their opponent so most of them prefer attacking close up or trampling their foes underfoot.
Tigs also have a wild temperament. Social rules don't come to mind with them. They have no sense of modesty and are very honest with their feelings and desires. When they're hungry, they eat. When they want something they take it. They care very little about their appearance and see personal hygiene as nothing more than a way to keep their claws and teath sharp and avoid being stinky. When a Tig sees a man she likes she approaches him and bluntly states her desire to be with him. Should he refuse they will often leave him be or try again later, however they have also been known to simply pin him to the ground and rape him.
When mating Tigs prefer to be tacken while on all fours. They also like to use their mouths to milk their husband.
A married Tig is very affectionate to her husband. She tends to stay near him when possible and will give all manner of affection regardless of the situation. Ranging from rubbing up against him to starting a full make out session in public without a second thought. The only reason it isn't commonplace to see them having sex in public is solely because their husband usually stops them. Modesty and shame are foreign concepts to them so since their husband is someone they love, they see no reason not express that love. Just the same they want to make their husband happy and they are willing to do just about anything to make him happy.
Despite their uncivilized manner and poor flying skills, Tigs are prized in the Reptile Kingdom Branch of the Dragoons for their strong fighting abilities on the ground and their tireless stamina while flying.
It should be noted that there are two known subtypes of Tigs:
Subspecies
This Brute Tig is either going into a rage, or attempting to sing. Either can be painful for those involved.
The black scaled Brute Tig who frequently travels to Volcanoes. Brute Tigs are notably stronger and are even wilder and more ferocious. Most dangerously is that their roar is far stronger with greater range. It can incapacitate even the strongest warrior in a single blow if he's unprepared
Rare Species
The exceedingly rare, crimson scaled Molten Tig has also been seen dwelling in the tower ruins where many other rare and powerful beasts and mamono live. Molten Tigs are even larger than most Tigs with a roar even stronger than the Brutes and power to match true dragons. What's more is the scales on their body are hardened to the point that most attacks simply bounce off and they have the ability to generate an explosive poweder from their claws that will drift on the wind and cling to whatever object comes in contact with. This blast powder is highly volitile and will detonate if struck hard enough or if it is stuck to a surface for too long.
Deviant Type
Grimclaw-chan thinks this fight just got interesting.
It should also be noted that a rare mutation can occur in any of three types of Tig causing a unique individual known as a "Grimclaw" to be born. Grimclaws can Identified by the fact that their claws are unusually large amd their entire forearm is covered in the color of their stripes, blue for normal Tigs, ashen grey for Brute Tigs, and black for Molten Tigs. Grimclaws are far stronger than the norm and a Grimclaw Tig is just as strong as a Molten Tig or Dragon. A Grimclaw Brute Tig and Grimclaw Molten Tig being even stronger and more fearsome. On top of this Grimclaws are also capable of manipulating magical energy. They rarely become adept enough to do much more than blow things up with it but they can generate enough power to cause a great deal of damage. A favorite trick that Grimclaws will use is to shove their claw into the ground and generating multiple emergy bombs underground to blow up around them. Despite being stronger there is little psychological difference between a Grimclaw variant and a normal Tig aside from perhaps a a bit of arrogance from the increased power.
[Alright, our first major fictional mamono, our first dragon, and the first Monster Hunter girl. The Tig is based off the Tigrex, which is the monster that brought me into the series with nothing more than it's badassed cover art back in MH2: Freedom and still remains one of my favorite monsters in the game. It's the monster that first welcomes you to Pokke village by knocking you off a cliff. So to celibrate my return to Pokke in MH: Generations I've decide to bring good old Tig to the Kingdom. Of course the non-mamono Tigrex is also prowling the kingdom so try not to get eaten. Information on the Reptile Kingdom and links to the other Reptile Kingdom mamono can be found here: (http://monstergirlencyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:The_Reptile_King/The_Reptile_Kingdom) You can also make suggestions there if you want, just follow the rules on that.
As per my norm, feedback and criticism is welcome and encouraged, so long as your criticisim is more than mindlessly insulting me, I want something useful out of it. So tell me what you think of her]
