Family: Shark
Habitat: oceans
Disposition: Warm, calm, bold
Diet: fish, meat.
The Thresher is a typical Shark species, except for one notable factor: the back piece of their tail is nearly twice the legnth of a normal Shaek manamo, usually being around several feet long. They can use this long tail as an extension of thir bodies, usuing it as a "whip" of sorts to stun prey before they capture it. To keep their tail from lagging they always hold the tip in one of their hands, ready to use it to defend themselves. They can be found throughout the oceans, having no real disabillities that would be making survival difficult.
Their personalities are easy going for the most part, They are usually quite friendly and usually never attempt to harm others if they can avoid it. They take to herding animals such as Whales and unmonsterized Megalodons as a sort of livestock, and are renowned for their knowledge in sea animal care. They can even be found with unmonsterized threshers as a sort of pet, alerting their owner if any animal is causing a problem. While they almost never use their tail-whip for anything, they certainly will not hesitate to give a rambuncious animal a single whack and a scolding to keep them in line. They are free spirits, and if they want to do anything or go anywhere they will go, regardless if they break any rules(Although they will normally be very apologetic afterwords should this be the case)
Due to their species being wide spread and that they herd livestock, they come into contact with other species frequently to trade, usually for meat. Occasionally you will even be able to spot a Thresher near a dock offering wares. When dealing with a Thresher when buying from her, be warned: While they will not attempt to upcharge(Despite it being high to begin with: Whale and giant shark meat are not common) the price and will keep their friendly demeanor throughout the ordeal, they will remember people who haggle to severly and will relocate if it becomes to much for them. On the other hand: should a Thresher find that her buyers are kind and don't try to scam her, she will take a liking to the person and the area and stay there, their presence often bringing much wealth to their new home due to how expensive their meat is. Often if there is one of the good buyer in paticular that is a man, they will eventually become infatuated with him. it is not institainious, often she and the man will end up going through the normal stages of romance, the Threshers normally cheerful personality usually making the man fall in love with her in tow anyways. Then the normal lovey-dovey bullshit happens and they initiate mating.
When mating a Thresher is always on top of their lover, riding him like a man would on a horse, keeping herself practically glued to him while embracing her partner. They also use their tails to wrap around their partner. Oddly: while they use the tail to calm down rowdy creatures: the tip is their weak point: should their partner either grab it or rub it by accident, they will immidiatly climax and start to go at it more intensly, tiring themselves out quicker. Also: should their partner be into S&M play, they can also use their tail-whip to spice things up(Although the girls themselves will most likley be extremley embarassed while doing this).
After this the Thresher and her new husband will often work together and take care of their livestock together, with her husband dealing with the paperwork and such while the wife will handle the creatures themselves. A married Thresher will always try to be near her husband when possible, and will often try to stroke him with her tail, which is considered a sign of affection to them. Threshers are not particularly jealous, so they usually don't mind being in a harem as long as they get loved!
(Alright...lord I'm tired.....it's nearly 5:30 AM where I'm at so writing this took it out of me...Now with thresher sharks IRL they can be found throughout most oceans, plus they have that long tail and since I don't care fore S&M stuff: I figured these guys would be the ranchers of the shark world! If you guys like this one than feel free to leave any thoughs or worthwhile criticism down below! Thanks!)
