The Glyph crisis is averted, several weeks have passed, and everything is the way it should be. Upon returning home, it was discovered that Whitemarch was untouched---the city stood, as it always had, the previous destruction a mere visage of the Glyph's alternate reality. Today, it is bustling with everyday activity as the people go on about their daily lives. Markets hum with commerce, traders line the streets in the shopping districts, and visitors come and go from the capital, tending to their business...
One such visitor is Cire Hominiac, who has come to fill out the last remaining paperwork for maintaining a permanent residence in Dr. Ibrahim's owned lands. He heads to the Doctor's clinic, so that the two of them may go to the office of the Regent, within the capital's castle, and finally end the seemingly bottomless pile of necessary documents.
The Doctor has been dreading this day, but Cire has not, for he has other plans...
