Species: Ushi-oni
Type: Transmorpher (Deceptor)
Habitat: Caves, laboratories
Disposition: Greedy, ferocious
Diet: Meat, men’s spirit energy
While many Transmorphers possess certain animals for alternate modes, they are usually robotic-appearing replicas of the animals in question. Such is not the case with the Tarantuli however: When they assume alternate mode they appear as a real, natural tarantula: complete with all the biological appearances one would expect. They can even shoot a sort of Electro webbing to ensnare prey/enemies like any normal spider. They use mass displacement to either be the size of a real spider, or can even reverse it to become a giant arachnid. Even when in manamoid form they appear more organic than robotic: almost appearing like normal Ushi-oni's, and many people do mistake them for the real thing. However; despite all the knowledge that exists about their physical form: their exact origins are a mystery, although all Tarantuli claim that they aren’t descended from any Autobs or Deceptors, leaving the ideal of their creation to be a mystery.
Tarantuli extremely intelligent: able to formulate complex equations and blueprints in the blink of an eye, making them highly successful engineers and scientists; with many serving under Shock-Clopses. Unfortunately though: aside from any work they usually don’t apply this intellect for, well; ANYTHING aside from their favorite activity: hunting and killing. Now: most Transmorphers with beast modes can eat biological food such as meat, but with the Tarantuli however: they almost exclusively prefer to eat animal meat: their love of animal flesh so great that they literally think of almost nothing else when working. It is in this odd…’hobby’ that they usually use their intellect for, and they become very cunning predators: easily entrapping prey within their webs, and then taking them back to their lair for digestion.
As mentioned before: Tarantuli are very adept when it comes to hunting, and nowhere is that trait more obvious is when a man comes near their lair(Usually an adventurer or someone of that nature.) They will almost always come to the edge of the lair out of curiosity, and inadvertently: they will trip a sort of alarm, alerting the Tarantuli to his presence, and then: the man will suddenly find himself being watched as he heads further into the Tarantuli’s lair. Slowly and slowly he will head through, observing all of the technology and carcasses from her previous kills, when suddenly: he will then find himself in the center of it all: a vast number of science do-dads and machinery that seem to deafen him. While he’s amazed by the sights however: the Tarantuli will make her move: using whatever darkness she can, she will creep up on him, and snatch him away to some giant web they’ve made specifically for this. And THEN the fun starts.
When mating it all seems like how Arachnid-species normally are when mating, but under the surface: the Tarantuli’s predatory instincts are helping her to better understand her ‘prey’ and his weaknesses. Just an hour is all it takes for her to learn everything there is to know(Physically speaking) about her mate. And so the mating after this usually consists of the Tarantuli dominating her mate while whispering love to him, claiming that he’ll be safe with her….forever.
After this the Tarantuli will begin to upgrade her body to be perfectly compatible with her mate, similar to a Manticore. They will also capture and take any prey that have been discovered in their webs down to their husband, who is still on the web he was trapped on. While this may seem like a cruel fate: the Tarantuli still brings him anything he might want or need, and she would even instal a high-tech watch system so he can still see things happen outside, so it isn’t all that bad. The Tarantuli would even make a sort of web network for him to go through if we wants to move. If he ever touches the ground though: the Tarantuli will be right behind him, waiting for him to notice..so that she can ‘punish’ him for attempting to leave
(Alright, second one from the special done!! Hope you guys like this one, cuz I frankly LOVED Tarantulas as a character when I originally watched Beast Wars. I hope you guys like this in that stead! If you have any then feel free to leave any thoughts or worthwhile criticisms down below. If you want to learn about other speceis or just learn about the general lore then here's the link to the main page: Link!! Thanks!!)
