Family/Type: Dragon/Reptile
Habitat: Dragon's Den Peaks (North)/ Camelot
Disposition: Proud, Strong-willed, solitary, (secretly lustful)
The dragons native to the norther end of the Dragon's Den Peaks share a strong resemblance to their southern rivals, the Ddraig. The only real difference in appearance is their coloration. Their scales are pure white and the skin of their wings along with thei rhorns are a deep blue. Like the Ddraig, the Albion have gem-like protrusions in their arms and legs, only these magical gems are sapphire rather than emerald like the Ddraig.
The Albion are proud, even for a dragon species. They hold immense pride in being a dragon and do not acknowledge other members of the dragon family such as the Wurn and Wyvern, calling them poor imitations. They will even shun actual dragons as inferior unless that dragon has proven themselves a powerful combatant. This makes the Albion probably one of the most solitary dragon breeds, but they prefer it that way. They instead focus on their strength and abilities, believing in absolute authority of power.
Like the Ddraig, the Albion cannot change into a pre-Demon Lord dragon form, but instead can use a powerful spell. This spell is called 'Divide' and when applied to a target, it cuts the target's current energy levels in half and adds it to the Albion's strength, speed, and othe rphysical attributes. As such, the Albion use it often in battle, cutting down the enemy's strength before landing a single and decisive blow to finish the fight.
Unlike the Ddraig who embrace and enjoy their new sexuality as mamono, the Albion despise it. To them, it is demeaning and shameful to embrace such a fickle thing such as sex and almost criminal to throw away their pride just to keep a man, a human at that. However, despite themselves, they are still mamono and the burning desire for pleasure and love still grows within them. To try and combat it, the Albion will begin to experiment with self-pleasure, spending longer and longer hoursd masturbating to take the edge off. This barely helps. Others try to use Divide to take the energy they need from men, but the energy is automatically applied to their physical bodies and they are unable to feed on it. Eventually the Albion's masturbation becomes more wild until she cannot control herself and decides actual sex is the cure to her affliction.
Upon finding a man, the Albion will try to seduce him. However, in denying sex has any worth for so long, the Albion's attempts will be somewhat clumsy and herself rather shy. Fortunately, this makes her seem adorable in a (to use the Zipangu term) tsundere way. It serves to attract some men, much to their relief. Others that try to run will swiftly be weakened by Divide, allowing the Albion to scoop him up and return to her cave with him.
Once having a man and husband, the Albion's personality completely changes. Experiencing the joys of sex and love, she becomes very affectionate to the man. Even considering him her most precious treasure. Now, she has a reason to be strong, somone to protect, making her horde, power, and skill all worthwhile. The only way she coul dbe happier is if she was pregnant. However, she becomes fiercely protective and suspicious of outsiders. Woe to anyone who goes near a married Albion with ill intent...
Many of the uninformed and desperate constantly seek the Albion in hopes of convincing them to use the Divide spell to remove accumulating demonic energy from their bodies to prevent monsterization. Their reasoning is that since the spell removes energy, it can slow or even halt monsterization by removing the demonic energies. This effect has been noted, however, the Albion refuse to do it nine times out of ten. To the unmarried, they despise being considered a means to an an end, an insult to their precious pride. To the married, it is considered stupidity since becoming a mamono makes finding true love and a life of pleasure so much easier and only the truly ignorant would wish to avoid such a blessing. Divide has only been used as such with masssive ego-stroking and/or donations to the Albions' hoard.
Albion have a fierce rivalry with their southern neighbours, the Ddraig. Whenever a member of both species meet, they eventually and inevitably start to fight. Why they feel the need to fight, not even they know. They just know that they have been fighting since before the current Demon Lord was even born and they'd keep fighting after she abdicates the throne. When the two meet, it comes down to skill rather than special abilities. A ddraig could Boost, but then the Albion would Divide that accumulated strength, while a Ddraig weakened by Divide could simply boost and eliminate the difference. With their spells neutralized, the two fight with their other skills. When one fighter wins, their community celebrates while the other stews.
Perhaps the most famous example of this rivalry comes from the incident with the magic apprentice Myrddin. He was exploring the Dragon's Den Peaks when a Ddraig and an Albion both attempted to claim him. They both became aware of each other and began a dragon-powered catfight which lasted for a month before the two mamono realized that Myrddin had run off in the chaos. The two mamono frantically searched the realm for a week before finding him, begrudgingly agreeing to share. Nowadays they are constantly engaging in threesomes to settle their disputes, claiming victory in which of them can make their husband climax faster or harder, sometimes trying to get each other off to hinder their 'opponent's' efforts.
This is the closest thing to peace that the Ddraig and Albion have to to actual peace and it has only happened once.
