Cornies are a rather unassuming race of Lamia. They are average in size and tend to have an orange or rust color to their scales. They are usually have a lean, muscular build and tanned skin due to working in the sun and heat for long periods of time. They also have a strong predisposition to develop freckles across their face and chest. It should be noted however that there are a large number of Cornies who have an alternative color to their scales and some who lack the tanned skin and muscular build due to not having worked like their cousins.
Primarily living in rural regions, Cornies their name due to them frequently working in corn fields, however they are from limited to just growing corn. Cornies most often make their living as farmers or farm hands, tending to fields, gardens, and orchards to grow just about any sort of plant. They are very diligent in their work, cheerfully waking up before dawn and working long after sunset. They also learn a very quickly about the needs of plants and how best to take care of soil, often by the time they reach adulthood they will have already aquired an almost sage like level of expertise in the subject. On top of this Cornies have an excess of earth magic and a strong affinity for the earth element. This magic seeps out of their body causing the soil that they touch to become more fertile and capable of growing larger and healthier plants. Cornies will often take full advantage of this ability, often plowing and ferilizing the fields by burrowing just beneath the surface. Some particularly powerful Cornies can use the earth magic in other, more destructive ways, often in defense of their farm or crops. These Cornies who are capable of powerful earth magic are often a bit larger than other Cornies and usually have small plants growing out of their hair, wrists and tail, similarly to a Troll, however unlike a Troll, these plants are mundane in nature and have no effect on their minds, often just being a few small vines and edible plants.
Cornies have little interest in battle, no patience for politics, and lack the wanderlust for adventuring, instead, they much prefer a quiet, simple life on the farm. That isn't to say however that they are unwelcoming to adventurers and warriors however. Due to their gentle and friendly demeanor, Cornies have become well known for their hospitality and are more than welcoming to wanderers of all stripes. Many Cornies have a large number of guest rooms to house just such wanderers, to a Cornie, few things are more pleasant than a nice conversation with interesting new people over a home cooked meal after a hard days work and to most wanderers in the kingdom, few things are more welcome than a safe haven with a friendly face and good food. Though travelers should be warned, it is rumored that Cornies did not actually get their name from the crop, but from their terrible sense of humor.
There are few things that Cornies don't greet with their welcoming hospitality, and at the top of that list are vermin like mamono such as Large Mice and Devil Bugs, who frequently target graneries and fields to steal food from. Should a Corny find one of them on their property, she won't hesitate to attack, usually raping the offender into unconsciousness before dumping them somewhere far away from her farm.
While some would think that Cornies are too trusting with their visitors, Cornies are just as capable of defending themselves as any other Lamia, more so should her earth magic be strong enough to fight with. Their hospitality is in fact, their primary method of claiming a mate. While a Cornies find the idea of raping a man to distasteful, any man who stays at a Cornies farm will be constantly tempted by her. She will constantly dote on him, making sure that he is perfectly comfortable in her home. As time goes on he will find it more and more difficult to work up a desire to leave. At the same time she will constantly tempt him, frequently flirting with, making sure to display herself while she works, and wearing very little clothing. Her sweat will aid in seducing him, charged with her earth magic, it will put out a strong female scent instead of an unpleasant odor, showing the man her fertility and driving him to mate with her. Eventually the man will give in to his urges and ask to mate with her, or should he resist for too long he will go mad with lust and rape her like a ferocious beast, either of which the Cornie would welcome with open arms.
Because of their friendly and gentle nature, Cornies have become quite popular as mamono pets and many have been taken from their old homes in the more rural regions into areas more populated by humans. These Domestic Cornies have adapted to living a life in human care, becoming even more meek and docile. Domestic Cornies also come in a wide variety of colorations unlike their natural cousins.
Domestic Cornies are extremely devoted to their master, and while they no longer work on a farm, they retain their hard working nature and put a great deal of effort in doting over their master and taking care of his property. Their fondness for caring for plants still remains and they try to keep a small garden in which they grow vegetables and herbs that their master likes to eat, barring that they will at least keep a few potted plants. They will submit to nearly every request that their master makes of them, since pleasing their master is one of things that makes them happiest.
Domestic Cornies rarely get to release their innate earth magic like their wild cousins because of this, their bodies tend to build up large quantities of this magic. This causes them to grow surprisingly powerful in earth magic, especially for such a meek, docile mamono. Like the stronger wild Cornies, Domestic Cornies tend to have live plants grow in their hair, around their wrists, and on their tails, however these plants are rarely useful or edible plants, and more often flowers and more decorative plants, colored to complement the color of their scales and hair. The denser earth magic also causes their body react as if it's more fertile, causing them grow far more lustful, often to levels comparable or exceeding that of a succubus, however the idea of forcing herself on her master is completely unthinkable, even if her beloved master where to appear before her with his hardened member bared to the world, she would gallantly resist her urges in attempt to avoid displeasing him and keeping things on his terms. Despite this, her lust will still through, she will unconciously tempt him, often displaying herself without actively trying to, accidentally wording things a flirtatious or lewd manner, moving to touch and rub herself against him at every opportunity, or even sneaking into his bed while still asleep. She will also produce a strong female scent, constantly reminding the man of the presence of fertile female waiting for him to take her. Eventually the mans urges will overwhelm him and he take her just how she always wanted him to.
Married Cornies remain much as they were before they had found a man. The "wild" Cornies will still work hard growing crops, and th domestic Cornies will still work hard to please their master, however both will more openly their lust to their husband and will frequently behave in a more coldly towards other men, though never to the poing of being rude. Like many Lamias they tend to be more clinging towards their man and will dislike other women and mamono who approach him, however, as can be expected of a Reptile Kingdom mamono, they are willing to accept a harem scenario even if they necessarily seek one out.
[Alright folks, here we have the corn snake Lamia. Or the Cornie. I decided to do a few puns with their name, what with making them the farmer mamono and the blurb about their sense of humor, I also threw in a few references to real world conr snakes particularly about them being among the most wildly domesticated and most easily kept snake. Information on the Reptile Kingdom and links to the other Reptile Kingdom mamono can be found here: (http://monstergirlencyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:The_Reptile_King/The_Reptile_Kingdom) You can also make suggestions there if you want, just follow the rules on that.
As per my norm, feedback and criticism is welcome and encouraged, so long as your criticisim is more than mindlessly insulting me, I want something useful out of it. So tell me what you think of her]
