Leopold Geckos are a common member of the Gecko family of Lizardmen. They have very soft and sensitive skin. Their scales are very small, to the point of being difficult to see at all and gives their reptilian parts a soft velvety texture and a Leopold Geckos tail is abnormally thick. Unlike other Gecko type Lizardmen, they do not have any sticky pads on their fingers and toes, and thus cannot cling to surfaces like their cousins. They usually have yellow or golden brown coloration with black spots, though they can come in a variety of other colorations. They have large expressive eyes, a more petite build, and a generally small size, causing them to be viewed as one of the cutest mamono in the kingdom.
Like other members of the Gecko Family, Leopold Geckos are too timid and weak to be fighters. Like their Maid Gecko cousins, they have instead found a niche in serving men. However the Leopold Gecko has gone a step further than their cousins. Instead of taking the role of a servant, Leopold Geckos opted to be a loyal pet to their human masters. Leopold Geckos are highly dependent on humans, because they lack the sticky pads found on other Gecko Lizardmen, they are left without the Gecko Family's primary means of defense, climbing out of reach of the potential threat. Because of this, a Leopold Gecko left alone in the wilds is left only with running, hiding and hoping that nothing dangerous finds her. They are also poor hunters, their timid and submissive nature making them less than motivated when attacking prey and they are far too weak to bring down any but the smallest and least threatening of prey. Fortunately that same nature has made them quite popular as pets as many view their demeanor and over all appearance to be adorable, even staunch members of the Order tend to be quite tolerant of a Leopold Gecko. Because of their nature, Leopold Geckos are often reffered to as "Reptile Kingdom Kobolds" by outsiders.
Leopold Geckos are extremely expressive with their emotions. When happy or excited they will often be bouncing with eagerness and smiling brightly. When sad or frightened their tail will droop, they will will shrink down and get teary eyed. When angry, they will hiss and puff themselves up, a display that while intended to be threatening, more often comes off looking adorable. Their tail also used to express emotion, laying limply on the ground when they are tired or relaxed and standing up straight when they're alert or attentive.
While they are not lacking in intelligence, Leopold Geckos are simplistic in their thinking but perceptive of their masters needs. When they want affection then they will cuddle up to their master and try to rub him with their entire body, begging for his attention. When they are hungry they will beg to be fed. Should their master be unhappy or lonely then they will rest their head on his lap or shoulder and hug him, trying to comfort him.
Leopold Geckos have very sensitive eyes and acute nught vision. As such they are very good at scouting out areas from afar and finding game, herbs or ore that a human would normally miss. They also maintain a primarily nocturnal lifestyle, preferring to be active at night, frequently keeping watch or patrolling the area while their master sleeps and alerting him should anything be amiss. However this also means that they tend to be more lethargic during the day, preferring to take a nap in the sun or cuddle up to their master. It should be noted that they can get rather grouchy if pushed to do too much during day light hours, but a man who is willing to stay up late with them will gain a great deal of devotion from them.
When a Leopold Gecko spots a man who strikes her fancy, she will immediately identify him as her master and start following him in a manner akin to a lost puppy. This almost always ends with the man taking her in as his pet. However despite being a mamono, the Leopold Gecko will not make any sexual advances towards her master, no matter how lustful she becomes. Beyond attempting to cuddle more often, she will restrain herself, giving her master the power to decide when and where they mate. However her body will be honest, and the Leopold Gecko will find herself flushed and panting in arousal while her lower parts quickly become drenched. Thus while the Leopold Gecko will restrain herself, her desperate need will be readily apparent to her master, who will most often move to satisfy that need. Even if he doesn't, the Leopold Gecko will continue to restrain herself indefinitely, however her constant presence and powerful lust will put out a strong scent constantly tempting the man, sometimes to the point that he rapes her like a wild beast. Despite this however their are some instances of a Leopold Gecko and her master having gone their entire lives without having mated once, though this is extremely rare.
Like other members of the Gecko family of Lizardmen, Leopold Geckos have very soft and sensitive skin. To be stroked, groped, and petted by their master is among the greatest pleasures for them and they have even been known to climax multiple times from this stimulation alone. However, any other man attempting the same is always an extreme irritant, oftem causing the Leopold Gecko to uncharacteristically lash out, biting the mans hand before they flee to the safety of their master.
Insect type mamono, particularly pests such as Devil Bug or Beezlebubs also cause uncharacteristic behavior in Leopold Geckos. The Leopold Geckos show no fear or timidness to these mamono, in contrast, the mere presence of a Leopold Gecko strikes terror in the hearts of insectoid mamono. This fear seems to trigger a primal instinct in the Leopold Gecko, causing her to go from a timid pet to a ferocious sexual predator when dealing with these mamono.
It should be noted that groups of Leopold Geckos do exist in the wild, often in the care of more combative Lizardmen. While they have yet to be domesticated, taming them is remarkably easy, often all that is required is that a man pet her and inform her that he's her master now and she will happily comply.
[Let's see, we have a Holstaur equivalent, a Kikimora equivalent, a Kunoichi equivalent, a Gypubu Danuki equivalent, and now a Kobold equivalent. Well folks, hope you like the Leopold Gecko.
