Family: Elf
Type: Demireptile
Habitat: Anywhere (Only in the Reptile Kingdom)
Disposition: Varies, usually wise and good natured
Diet: Same as humans, spirit energy
Wyvarians are among the first races of sapient beings to come to the Reptile Kingdom. Long before the rise of the current Demon Lord, they were originally a clan of elves who had come to the Kingdom, seeking to build a new home. However the Reptile Kings life forces pervades the entirety of the Kingdom, and the minds and bodies of the Elven settlers proved to more susceptible than they had anticipated. Just as the Demon Lords power corrupted Elves into Dark Elves so to did Reptilian Energy change the Elves into a new race.
Wyvarians bodies have changed giving them reptilian features interspersed amongst their elven bodies. However due the Reptilian Energy reflecting the unpredictable nature of the King, its effects are not always predictable. All Wyvarians now bare patches of scales on their bodies and all of them have developed scaly talons in place of their feet. But beyond this, the changes are unpredictable. For some it is minor, their ears may have become floppy instead of pointing erect like a normal elves, or they may have scaly claws on their hand to match their taloned feet. While for others, the effect was much more life changing, altering their very ageing process. While most retain the longevity and unending youth of their elven ancestors, others are doomed to grow old, albeit at a much slower pace than humans. Some shrivel up to dimunitive size, while others will grow throughout their entire lives, eventually becoming giants amongst men.
The Great Elder otherwise known as His Immenseness is the current Master of the Hunters Guild, and also an excellent example of a giant Wyvarian
At the same time the Wyvarians grew more aggressive, more ambitious. They became more willing to fight for their desires and trample whatever stood in their paths.
When the Wyvarians tried to interact with their elven brethren, the Elves turned their back on them. Claiming that the Wyvarians were tainted and fearing that taint spreading to themselves, the Elves took up arms and forced them back to the Reptile Kingdom. Angry at the betrayal of their elven brothers, the Wyvarians vowed to create a mighty empire, and crush the Elves who cast them out.
The Wyvarians put their greater ambitions to use and had achieved much. They were the first to tame and ride any sort of dragon. Earning their name by befriending Wyverns and using them as their primary method of transportation. The lesser dragons were treated as their friends and equals while greater dragons were revered for their near god like power. The Reptile King himself treated as King amongst Gods. And through their alliance with the dragons they had built a mighty nation, The Schrade Empire. The Schrade Empire had lasted for millenia. It had built fortresses and towers the size of mountains, towering monuments to the greatness of themselves and their draconic allies. At the same time they had advanced further than any other, developing magics and technology like had never been seen before, or since, ushering in a golden age for the Wyvarian people.
However, their age old hatred for their Elven kin had still remained, and just as brightest light casts the darkest of shadows, the golden age of the Schrade Empire brought forth and age of darkness. Seeking to claim total victory over the Elves, the Wyvarians committed horrible atrocities in search of knowledge and power, breaking the very laws of nature and creating evil weapons that twisted the hearts of their wielders. As they seized their power and knowledge, the Wyvarians grew more arrogant. They began to see the dragons who they had befriended and revered as servants at best, and components for their horrid weapons at worst.
Eventually they committed an unforgivable sin. They had produced what is now known as the Equal Dragon Weapon. A living weapon pieced together from the bodies over thirty adult dragons, and innumerable hatchlings. Upon discovering this weapon, nearly all of the dragons turned upon the Wyvarians, sparking the Great Dragon War. A long bloody war that left many races of dragons extinct and Schrade Empire in ruins. In the end, a single, immensely powerful dragon rose up. A child of the Reptile King whose fury knew no bounds. In a macabre display of irony, this dragon took the Wyvarian warriors, whose armor had been forged from the scales and bones of dragons and smelted their bodies and armor to itself, creating armor of its own. It laid waste to the Schrade Kingdom, toppling fortresses and towers. And with a single lash of its tail the Six Horned Fatalis created the Great Chasm, splitting the Schrade Empire in two and ending the war.
The Six Horned Fatalis disappeared shortly after the wars end and the Wyvarians were left to pick up the pieces. Their old grudge with the Elves having been forgotten in the heat of the war and their losses from the war being innumerable, they had resolved to start anew. The Wyvarians sealed away the forbidden weapons and knowledge of the past, leaving those things to die with the Schrade Empire and resolving to never again commit the sins of their past. Shedding most of the arrogance of the elves, they took value in rational thinking and gave respect to the natural order and all the life that dwells within the kingdom. These things became the foundations for Wyvarian Culture there after. Upon the arrival of humans within the Reptile Kingdom, the Wyvarians welcomed them, not with the haughty derision of their Elven ancestors but with an attitude more akin to adults, trying to teach and guide their children away from making the mistakes they had made in their youth.
Unlike their elven cousins, Wyvarians have no issue with befriending a human and their race maintains a close relationship with the humans who live in the Reptile Kingdom. To the humans, the Wyvarians are known for their rational thinking and respect for nature. The young Wyvarians are often the voice of reason amongst their human friends and the elders are always a great source of wisdom. Though the Wyvarians are still aggressively pursue their ambitions. Often Wyvarians who still have their youth, be it due to retaining the full strength of their elven longevity or due to still being at a young age, will often travel in search of their fortune. Wyvarian traders, mercenaries and other wanderers often travel side by side with humans. As they grow older they tend to take a prominent role in their community, often being scholars, village leaders, or skilled craftsmen while others become hermits dwelling in the wilds. To say that Wyvarian culture and human culture within the Reptile Kingdom has merged and become one and the same, would not be an exaggeration. Even romance between Wyvarians and Humans has occurred, however the children born from these relationships are always sterile, left incapable of having children of their own.

With the rise of the current demon lord came monsterization. Which had initially proven to be quite frightening to the Wyvarians. However, having already been corrupted by Reptilian Energy, they have developed a strong resistance to being corrupted again. While far from impossible, the monsterization of Wyvarians is far less common than it is for normal Elves and poses no threat to causing serious damage to their population. The resistance seems to grow with age and males frequently prove to be especially resistant, some spending their entire lives with a whole harem of monster girls without ever becoming an Incubus.
Upon monsterization, Wyvarian women tend to develop in a variety ways. Their feminine attributes grow to be more enticing and they develop a seductive atmosphere about them. They grow to be more confident in their sexuallity and at the same time their lust begins to grow. When they see a man their body will begin to throb and yearn for pleasure and they will begin to have dirty thoughts throughout the day. Unlike normal Elves, Wyvarians have social taboo against humans nor do they fear the corruption spreading, thus these monsterized Wyvarians will not hesitate to follow the instincts of a monster. Instead, they will aggressively seduce men. Tempting and charming the men around them searching for the man who will become their husband. Their care little about whether the man is human or Wyvarian and despite the seductive behavior, they will usually save themselves until they find a man whom they wish to wed.
Now monsterization is often viewed as a blessing to the Wyvarians, especially to those who have married a human. As monsterization restores the eternal youth to the Wyvarians who have lost it and children of monsterized Wyvarians are always a female monsterized Wyvarian thus allowing a Wyvarian to mate with human and still produce fertile children.

While monsterization has very little effect on a Wyvarians appearance beyond development of their characteristics, there is a small chance the demonic energy and reptilian energy within them interacting with one another, causing a Wyvarian to grow a draconic tail or set of wings or horns upon monsterization. These characteristics are always underdeveloped and useless, however they do look cute.
Beyond their increased lust and the desire for a husband, a Wyvarians behavior changes very little after monsterization. They will continue to do the same jobs and pursue the same goals.
Wyvarians have a rather amicable relationship with most mamono. Many elderly Wyvarian women have started a sort of employment and matchmaking service for Lynians and are thus called Felyne Grannies, Tokays frequently work with Wyvarian traders and craftsmen over trade, and many mamono craftsmen and warriors respect Wyvarian craftsmen and warriors for the skills that they have had passed down since the Fall of Schrade. However, the relationship between Dragons amd Wyvarians still remains damaged. Most Dragons still look upon Wyvarians with mistrust and thinly veiled anger and the sight of a Dragon often brings about feelings of shame and guilt for the Wyvarians. To this day, no Wyvarian has ever been permitted to join the Dragoons, for the Dragons have sworn to never allow them to use their wings again.
[And here we have the Wyvarians, aka Dragon Elves. Not that the Dragons like them all the much. Shows you where holding a grudge gets you. But hey, you guys also got a lot of lore on the Reptile Kingdom out of this, mostly ripped off of Monster Hunter lore, but most folks don't know that lore anyways. Not even a lot of fans do. So meh. Information on the Reptile Kingdom and links to the other Reptile Kingdom mamono can be found here: (http://monstergirlencyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:The_Reptile_King/The_Reptile_Kingdom) You can also make suggestions there if you want, just follow the rules on that.
