(Life of Pi.)
I steer the boat towards the island and kiss the ground getting sand in my mouth, the Jinko climbs out of the boat and begins exploring our land point. "You go gather wood for a fire, I'll go hunt us down some food." the Jinko says to me, I do as she says and start gathering up wood for a fire and kindling to help get it going.
"Thankyou survival monthly." I say out loud as I get the fire going as I'm sitting there getting warm I hear a twig snap and spot the Jinko with several large birds and some type of big game. "I take it the hunt went well."
"More so then I thought." she sets down her catch and using her sharp claws skins them faster than a sushi chef at a fancy Asian restaurant, after she finishes she sets them on the fire and begins cooking them, for the first time in a long time we both well feed. "That was amazing."
"Yes it was, we can't stay on the beach though we will need to head inland to avoid the cold." I tell her, she nod in agreement and grabs some of the food. "You think they'll find the SOS beacon and come rescue us?" I ask her.
"They better rescue us I don't feel like ending up like that guy did in Cast Away."
"Same." I tell her I grab the emergency supplies from the Lifeboat and we head farther inland.
A few weeks have passed and her condition is getting worse, I've been keeping my distance to try to keep her heat cycle from coming on sooner than either of us would like, as I'm taking some coconuts and wild blueberries back to our camp I start to hear a low growl behind me I put the supplies away and look behind me and nothing. "Ketta please tell me that you and not a wild animal?"
"I would suggest you don't run, it only makes me more riled up." Great her heat cycle has gone into full swing and my prey instinct kicks in and they're telling me to 'RUN!' I take off hoping to avoid getting pounced on only to see a set of topaz like eyes staring at me from a bush before I can even say anything I pinned to my makeshift bed and I see Ketta in all her glory. "I told you not to run."
"You would have caught me anyway, now let me up you don't want to hmm..." I get cut off and she takes my lips with hers, she takes me there on the spot for the next four hours after feeling completely drain I just lay there with her laying on top of me purring. "This means what I think it means doesn't it?"
"It does now go to sleep I'm tired." just as she was about to drift off her ears perk up and she hops off me. "Someone's coming."
As soon as she says that adrenaline shoots throughout my body I grab my makeshift spear and get ready for whoever it is, we soon see a hand emerge from behind the trees and spot a navy sailor followed by three more. "Is anyone here we picked up the distress...beacon." he stops himself off when he sees us. "I'm am so sorry I wasn't expecting to find anyone, please put your clothes back I'll give you two some privacy."
We look at each other and quickly put our clothes back on. "Sorry about that, wasn't expecting anyone." I then that I realize we're saved I look at Ketta and she looks at me and hugs me. "We're going home finally." We grab anything we think might be important and follow the man back to their helicopter, the two of us look out the window and can see the island we landed fade off into the distance, as I lean back into the chair I feel Ketta rest herself aginst me.
"I'm still tired so I'm going to get some sleep." I look at her and try to do the same, we're soon brought back to a Navy destroyer, taken to the ship's doctor for a check up and are given a clean bill of health they assign us to a room together and drift off to sleep with each. "I can't wait to get back home."
"Same and start a new life that doesn't involve boats." She pecks me on the cheek and cuddles up to me as we both fall asleep knowing that we'll be starting a new life with each other.
