(Welcome, this will be my first RP post and wonder how this will turn out. For those interested, Years is a world I created using it for stories and a D&D world. I am looking to use it for this wonderful topic of MGE and hope others can enjoy it. Now I will gladly run as the GM, as people say, as a test to see if I can do it. Anyone is welcome to join and I will try to get to everyone who has joined. If people have advice for me, be my guest and message me about it.)
Deep in the desert lands, the people called the Cursed Borderlands, stood two cities. One city was Gloomrock, a deserted city filled with the corpses of the dead, and the city of Saltstorm. Saltstorm was actually lively, even with all the sandstorm that hit from time to time. Most adventurers try to make it to the city before a storm hits because the storms would cut skin like a thousand blades or shards of glass, leaving nothing but bone behind. The guards were always aware of travelers coming to the city and were always prepared for the worse. They inspected people coming into the city and select random travelers entering to do a search completely at the guard house. Anytime they had females that they select to search and inspect at the guard house, they would seen a Lamia, by the name of Sarah, to do said inspects.
The city had its fair share of business and trade but not as big as one of the cities outside of the desert, Mellryn Bridge being one of two. There are taverns, inns, blacksmiths, and final stalls filled with jewelery, gems, food, clothing, and so much more. The city was filled with unique riches and people, including those of Monster variety. Some people of the city could swear they would see a charcoal black hair beastman that had the description of the ancient tomb guardians, Anubus, wondering the city looking for ancient relics that should be forgotten.
One of the three taverns in the city is called, The Drunken Snake. Once inside, the tavern looks huge compare to the outside of it as it is two floors and has a stage to the Northern wall. This tavern is lit by torches, candles, and finally magical lights. The magical light, however, only lit up the stage and could not be moved. If someone were to try to move it, there hand would just go through the light but it would continue to keep the stage lit. Off to the left of the stage, sat instruments of drums, lutes, and flutes. These instruments were used to help those on stage dance, sing, or sometimes tell stories of adventures. The waitresses around the tavern were varies for sure. Some were human, others were different monsters, but the bar keep was a big man. He stood about 5'10" but his muscles made it clear to not break any of the rules in place. He had bright green eyes that seem to flash in the flickering of the torches and his blond hair seemed to shine, almost. His wife, who normally ran the bar, was that of a Lamia. Her red scales going up to that of sun kissed flesh and black hair, truly revealed her beauty. He deep golden eyes scanning the tavern at all times, well serving drinks to the patrons of her husband's bar. On rare occasions does his tavern ever throw a large party allowing that of children to play and enjoy. After being successful there, he built more onto it, giving travelers rooms to sleep in and if the travelers wanted a little more company, there was plenty of women to help.
