Undeep's Outward Body (Inner part is actually reddish-orange, not blue, forget that.)
Habitat: Frozen wastes, the Source, just about anywhere (Invasive)
Disposition: Voracious, violent, childish, playful
Diet: Omnivorous, men's spirit energy, thermal energy
One of the two numerious Cat-G species in Invasive, the other being the Windega of course. While the worm-like Undeep is the focus of this profile.
First encountered by a merc group sent from Therm Corp to see if the Source, the overflowing seas of endless thermal energy were up for taking and unguarded... they were... A pack of six Undeeps appear to constantly patrol in and around the Source for any would be invaders and stop them immediately from trespassing. As a result, as soon as the mercs entered the territory of the Source they were swarmed by those six massive snowworms, coming in from all angles, the mercs were not payed enough to deal with six baphomet-level monsters, nor were they given enough equipment to deal with both a numerous and unknown threat. Despite this, the merc group was only pushed back, none were killed or taken away, and as soon as they left the Source, the Undeeps broke off and went back to their main group. To the locals, this group is simply known as the 'Pact of the Worm' and Therm Corp has never attempted another take-over since.
Undeeps are a lot like the Sandworm in general apperenace, in that they have a main massive, 40ft long worm body and a actual women acting as the 'tongue' of the Akrid. Generally, the head of this worm is very similar to that of a eyeless catfish. With strange feeler-like tentacles on the underside of the beast, though two much more longer whip-like antenna are above the head and act as the 'eyes' for the outside portion of the Undeep. Along the side of her worm body are large circles filled with large amounts of thermal energy. At the end of the Undeep's worm body is a cone-like ending that is covered in large holes where one of their main form of attacks exit from... it is not their anus... don't say it is... just don't its not. Inwardly, Undeeps have a second mouth, with gums filled with thermal energy and definitely a weakspot when they're coming around to eat you whole. Their inner tongue, is usually what looks to be a human girl, though with extremely pale skin and hair, their eyes making most think that they are blind. While their outer body is blind, their human tongue has a very weak sense of eyesight and generally still rely on their feelers. Like some of the more powerful Sandworms, a Undeep is able to shift their body into a much more smaller and 'whole' shape. They look very much like a lamia in this form, though they still have those long whip-like antenna and the sides of their tail still have those glowing pockets of thermal energy. Their 'tail' still ends in that cone-like shape covered in holes.
The only known record of a pack of Undeeps were the described 'Pact of the Worm' that patrol the Source. Other then that outlier all other times where the mamono was encountered was just them. Not that they appear to mind in the slightest, in fact, Undeeps are the only Cat-G Akrid to not have any form of allegience with the other Akrids that would normally flock to a Cat-G. The reason being is that the ecosystem a Undeep terraforms its surrounding location... is more frozen wastelands. Due to their nature as a snowworm they wouldn't think any else to turn their surrounding lands into. Though, since most of Invasive is already a frozen wasteland, it appears that the presence of a Undeep is minimal and requires much more careful observing of the environment to see if the land is regularly like this, or if its been tampered with by one of these massive snowworms.
Infact, the only Undeep that don't terraform their landscape around them are the Pact of the Worm, either that or the Source actively resists all terraforming attempts from Cat-Gs, no others have gotten the chance to get close to prove this theory true. Undeeps are the most likely to be attacked when entering another Cat-G's moving ecosystem, as the entire point of such a ecosystem is to make it so for other Akrids to not live in fear of constantly having to resupply their thermal energy as much. Though Akrids can perfectly thrive in the 'ecosystem' the Undeep provides, they would rather not at all if given the chance to do so. These fights between the two Cat-Gs are usually both quick, and violent, and usually not in the Undeep's favor, as most of the other Cat-Gs are far stronger then a regular Undeep could ever be. Though married couples are allowed to pass if the Undeep is indeed scented to be married.
Undeeps themselves while generally more intelligent then the average human, are almost completely immature in mannerisms and how specfically their brains work. So they think being attacked by another Cat-G to be extremely rude and are prone to tantrums while losing or sometimes even winning. Unable to think of a reason to as WHY they would fight her, she was only passing by, or 'I just wanted to spread the cheer of snow! Why do you have to attack me?!' They usually take out these losses on the lesser Akrids in the area, probably through the methods of pranking them by making them think they're going to be eaten by the massive worm. Which to some... can be quite terrifying, they only think it in good spirit so they are distraught when all it ends to is the Akrid just hating them more. This can certianly brood into a very angry Undeep over time, who's pranks only become more crueler and crueler over time, never to pain or death... simply more vindictive.
How they get a husband can vary, but most of the time it just involves them sensing the man in the area and going after them, if you hear the rumble, run, if you feel the ground shake, flee, and if you see their feelers poking out of the ground? Its too late. A Undeep is far too fast at that point to be outrun at this point and you'd best just accept your fate at that point. If the man they find is stronger then what they appear to be, they have numerous methods to subdue him. They naturally have a strong innate ability for magic, and from the end of their worm body they are able to release multiple gaseous combinations of thermal energy and demonic energy to fire down and upon their target. Almost like rapid-fire they are able to do this attack, requiring more then a lot of dodging skills to keep up with them. Getting hit with such a projectile is to be expected, the man's body heats up in a unnatural and pleasurable way and getting hit with enough of these can leave them sluggish enough to be simply swallowed whole by the Undeep.
The other way a Undeep will get their man is through the pranks they will similarily do to the Akrids living in the area, the most likely they will do specfically for the man is to pop out their human tongue out in the middle of the snow 'unconsious' while the 'real' body lies underneath. If the man comes to their aid, or want to take advantage of the 'poor' 'maiden' out in the blizzard they will get a unpleasant surprise when the women wakes up when they touch them, smile at them sweetly... and then the Undeep's feelers will plop out of the ground, and the man will only have less then a second to recognize their mistake before they are swollowed whole with the 'tongue' clutching them tenderly. Though the more actually concerned the man is to the condition of the Undeep's 'lure' the more in love they will be and the resulting intercourse will be a lot more gentle then normal.
Comparatively to the fact that Undeep's form frozen wastes around them due to their mere presence, their innards are almost blisteringly hot, it has to be, as a Undeep doesn't just burrow through snow, it eats the snow constantly, melting it down instantly to warm water when it makes contact with their inner mouth. This heat isn't enough to hurt the man or rather, any Akrids that end up in their, and like the Sandworm, the juices within their bodies melt all but flesh and cause the sensitivity of their skin to sky-rocket and make it much easier to achieve multiple orgasms in a row, much to the Undeep's delight.
Afterwards as a wife, if asked politely they will change to their more compact form if they wish to enter buildings and such, since the Undeep never usually uses their compact form and can be quite clumsy with such a form. Other then that, their intelligence and inherent childish clash quite often, and while it looks like they might be able to do something as good as you, they break down into the depths of immaturety and give up on it. Though with enough patience, anything can be taught, and the Undeeps are no exception.
Due to being a Cat-G Akrid, Undeeps are never displaced from the plane of Invasive to any of the other planes like the Material Plane and the like.
