After testimones are given, the procter of the final test now has her 'jury' give the results. Will the team make it through the trial and get the prize at the end?

I look at Christa with a worried expression: "So they might have brainwashed more than I can imagine... Wonderful. Is there any way we can avoid more collateral damages right now?"
After that, I nod at Micah's remark: "Electricity might work, and I've heard such devices don't fare very well with magnetism, either. If we can get bursts of both to disable them, then we may have a better chance of defeating them."
Me: "I think I know what happened, yes I was the perfect conduit for this but I'm missing one crucial component, fond memories of who she truly is."
Meria: "Where are you going to get memories like those?"
Me: "Her children, they know her better than anyone have them come here." Meria quickly activates her transmitter and relays the message a few minutes later her kids come running and see her. "I need your help if we're going to save your mother." I tell them and they nod in understanding. "Ms. Chesire if you're ready?"
Micah gives Red a soft grin that is obscured by her mask, pleased that he is supporting her suggestion. "Either way, those machines won't work if they're disabled," she says to Christa. "Or destroyed!" Kenzie chimes in.
Spiga turns and looks longingly at the spot where her alternate self had ended her own life. She sighs in anguish as she wishes that she could have been able to help her. But now she could only imagine how different the circumstances could have been had she been able convince her to join her allies.
"Kenzie, it's always better to disarm a threat before taking it down... That also applies for death machines, of course."
"I'm not so sure disabling them will put them out of commission, Gremlins are known to have many different kinds of fail-safes in place for everything. Destroying them might be our only option, but, as I said, without the guards escorting the king, the rest of the soldiers are spread thinly enough as is." Christa states. "But we've got a chance at least." The Dhampir says.
The Cheshire Cat nods examining the children. "Yes, yes, I see...it just might work...or it could ultimately do nothing and their mother will remain in this form. But it's worth a try, now, I need both of you kids to come over here and put these collars on." She says.
Me: I see them hesitate for a bit and reassure them that it's ok. "I made a promise that I wouldn't let anything happen to you two before and that promise still stands." I hug them and help them get ready. "Let do this she almost back to normal and I want to send them all home as a family."
Jack: While everyone is talking about the upcoming conflict Jack and Anitra have walked off a few feet away and start discussing their concerns about the coming events.
"You're so negative jeez!" Kenzie tells Christa as she makes a thumbs-down gesture, "Did leaving the Order sap you of all your hope as well?"
Micah quietly facepalms at Kenzie's brash remark and sighs. Sure the Valkyrie wasn't exactly optimistic, but it was no reason for the Blaster to be so rude about it.
Kenzie then turns to Red and says, "But you don't need to disable them if they're already destroyed! Besides, destruction is my schtick!"
Spiga doesn't respond to the conversation behind her as she was still thinking about her alternate Spiga and her two closest friends who were similar to her own. That vile woman had deceived them. All of them. "So brash and yet, you three never deserved death," she mutters to herself absentmindedly.
The Cheshire Cat places the collars onto the children. "Theoretically speaking, these collars should block out any effects of the Ather Energy. Now, if you would, please resume." She says.
"No it did not, I'm a realist, and the chance that we'll all make it out of this war alive is real small." Christa states.
Me: I have her children grab my left hand and tell them to focus through me and continue where we left off Meria and her husband quickly rushing back into to be on standby in case something happens.
"Point taken, we might have to destroy these machines if it proves impossible to disable them." I look at Spiga from the corner of my eye, then at the place she's looking at: "I wonder what our other selves went through to become like this, under the command of the other Isaac..."
