"They won't be getting me to join them that's for sure," Micah mutters in regards to the Sabbath.
She turns back to Red and says, "And if you are concerned about the Sabbath, it would definitely be wise to keep your distance from them."
Spiga raises a brow at Isaac's mention of how he managed to get a high-ranking member of the Sabbath and says, "Interesting. Considering mamono behavior one would think they would be overjoyed that one of their members became partnered with someone as powerful as you."
Kenzie remains silent for the time being, not wanting to be scolded by the Jinko again.
"We'll have to account for their presence, if they're extremely desperate, they just might be there." Christa states glumly.
"Well...it's more like she ran away because she hated how boring it was there. I'm sure that while they're pleased that I've got her in my care, I think their pride is still on the rough and they need a scapegoat. That's also not to mention that I might've left them for dead when the Order came to purge them. So, as you can tell, I'm not their favorite person." I explain.
"Then you'll simply have to out do their game my Knight, if you can't trust them then stay aware of them." Lustia tells me. "Easy for you to say your Highness." I tell her. "It is actually!" She replies.
"I'll...come...up...with...something to...prevent...their...spells." Lic-chan states starting to draw up designs on the board.
ME: I turn my attention to Lic-chan. "Please go ahead we're all ears at the moment."
(Merry Christmas guys!)
"I'm...thinking..." She mutters. She draws pictures of pins, buttons, and even clothing. "If...I can...imbue...preventive into...a...fetish of some sort...maybe...I...could...no,no, that design...wouldn't work..." She mumbles.
(Merry Christmas! I'm late again, but holidays are finally here... which will be followed by exams, yikes.)
"As you can guess, I don't really want to get too close to the Sabbath, so I'll definitely put some distance, in both meanings. They'll have to bear with us, you in particular, if they want to live as well though, especially if it's just a temporary alliance. They don't have much to lose with this deal anyway..."
I look at Lic-chan's drawings and think: "Maybe we could craft some limited-use barrier amulets or something? It would not protect us forever, but it could at least allow us to block several spells."
Lic-chan draws an amulet and considers it for a moment before shaking her head and crossing it out. "No...too easy...to...remove...something small...but can't...be removed...easy...but...what?" She asks.
"Jewelry for fingers that can be hidden under gloves," Micah suggests, agreeing with Anitra.
She then turns away and mumbles under her breath, "How the hell do we get ourselves roped into these situations. These guys are far more capable at dealing with whatever the Order's cooking than us."
Spiga says nothing at Isaac's story, but judging by her puzzled expression she has mixed feelings about the incident.
She instead turns to Red and says, "I concur with Micah's suggestion. Stay far from the Sabbath on the battlefield. If we are victorious then you should take your leave as fast as you can. I doubt those irritating curs will let you slip away so easily."
"No earrings...a ring...might...work...maybe...a...badge..." She mutters drawing up more designs.
"I suppose this counts as a plan then." Christa says. "When Lic-chan finishes, I'll have the girls in the lab produce the design and have them ready to be enchanted by the time we're set for war." Lustia states.
"Count on me to dodge members from the Sabbath even during the battle, I really don't want to face any of them even in such conditions. I'll still have to stock up on potions and spells... Just in case stuff goes wrong."
