"Yes, we are a group of travelers from the Yellow Marshes who are seeking to remedy our lack of supplies." Kasia called out.
The guard, seemingly startled that the spear was flicked away so easily, readjusted their composure while the other one turned a blind eye to what was occuring. The guard then coughed as he muttered something about a perfect sacrifice, although it was only brief, before letting the three 'travellers' through the multiple gates. The whole process of opening the gates took one hell of a long time, as some guards had no clue on how to operate manually, but they eventually got there.
Behind the final gate layed houses and roads sprawled across into the horizon, patches of farmlands uniformly distributed throughout the area as pedestrians travelled about like ants, waving warm greetings towards the newcomers. The shouting of advertisements and other vendor products lined the streets to seemingly no end. Suspiciously lively for an 'cursed village'.
The scroll was now completely silent.
Welcome, to the (Cursed) Northern Village.
"N-no," The guard stuttered, looking bewildered. His eyes gave a look of 'when did I ever say something?' before quickly averting their gaze back at the forest, seemingly out of fear. The other guard finally responded, mechanically gesturing for them to enter through the gate. It seems like this is the only guard who's attention was still drawn to the travellers, as even the sentries at the top of the wall seemed to have lost interest to the three after identifying that they're travellers, although occasional fleeting glances was still being made.
"Well obviously, we had been told the place is cursed, and the gate took forever to open!" Kasia replied, the gate comment having nothing to do with the other.
"Yeah, so let's just get food, water, and maybe a war hammer for Muzukiel if we come across it and book it."
Levi would be searching for a place to buy food that would last a good while, a place to fill their canteens and maybe a blacksmith. He REALLY didn't want to spend the night in town.
the village didn't seem to agree with their goals, as the roads that expanded from the main gates had no food for sale, none of the vendors seemed to be willing to sell food as well, as they quickly averted their gaze from the trio every time they approach a vendor. Ocassionally, however, a couple of the native villagers would bring baskets full of food and dump it in the old, dilapidated well. Something here smells like a sacrifice.
As for blacksmiths? There's a cottage labelled "T__s___'s Blacksmithery" that looked almost as old as the well, with the first part of the name smudged from wear. Situated at the far corner of the village, it looked half submerged within the walls of the town, like the walls were built over it. But it was isolated from the mainstream roads, so it'll take some time to reach there just by walking. and it seems like night would be setting in soon. If they truly want to get all the nessecities, it looks like they'll need to split up the search.
