“I possess the knowladge to treat cases from minor injuries to critical trauma. I can also devise strategies depending on information given. I can also clean and cook, create traps, Hunt, barter...Many skills.” She replied.
"So a jack of all trades. So I recall you have energy blades, right? Can you form any types of weapon or only those?"
MEANWHILE
"Well, what can you do besides poisoning?" Mary asked and continued on her meal.
The cloud of mist forms for the first time since Lauren's transformation, before transforming into a sword and shield.
(If I could make a suggestion, it'd be a good idea to tag the RPer you're referring to in a post. It'll make the RP much easier to keep track of for different characters.)
(Tikkit):
Kirk's eyes narrow at the words "strange beast" and mutters, "A beast? Could it be a mamono?"
"Mamono don't typically waste their time scaring the socks off of villagers. They'll usually just grab their man and go," Lynn explains.
Kirk taps his gloved finger against the two words and says, "Though there is no mention of this thing being a mamono. Again as the quest says, these rumors could be fake. Probably set up as a prank to scare people."
"The only way we'll truly know is if we go investigate," Lynn says with a shrug.
The couple follow the directions of the map. As they move along the trail Kirk whispers to himself, "Oh, how I wish that magic school hadn't shut down."
Personally, he hopes that the rumors are just that, rumors. He is a novice in earth magic, but the best he can do is manipulate small patches of land and shoot shards of hardened rock at targets.
Soon enough they can see the top of the village over a hill.
The village was rather small, and the pair could see a lake from their position. As they stood there a man left the village and walked to the two. He wore purple armor and appeared to be a knight.
"Hello travelers! What brings you to Monpoey?" He asks, looking a bit surprised.
"Huh, cool!" Mary exclaimed as Joro and the man approached.
"Well, he agreed. This is George and my misty friend is Lauren. My names Joro."
"My names Mary, nice to meet you three. So we're heading to the Atlas?"
"Yup. Well one more thing to do before we head to the Atlas, come on." Joro said as Mary got up and followed along with George. "So, Lauren, what exactly are you if you don't mind me asking?" Joro asked.
"Yeah, I've never seen anything like you around." Mary added.
Kirk shows the man the contract regarding the rumors and explains, "We're here because someone was concerned about some rumors regarding a beast of some kind. Have you heard of talk of such a thing?"
Lynn eyes the lake with a relaxed interest. The small crystal body of water seems almost inviting. Maybe after this quest is complete she could convince her husband to join her in going for a dip in said lake provided it was permissible by the residents of Monpoey.
"I'm the person who put that contract on the board! As far as the rumors go, they appear to have some sense of truth to them, for there have been some cases of livestock disappearing, and just two days ago a hunter had found the remains of a cow." The man says to Kirk.
"Well, we call ourselves Eatherlytes." Lauren says to the group.
(Tikkit):
Both Kirk and Lynn exchange glances with each other. Looks like something might be out there after all. Vanishing livestock is never a good sign, especially when a population as small as Monpoey's relies on it for food.
"Did, anyone see what this creature looked like?" Kirk asks the man, hoping against hope that the description wouldn't be "big and terrifying".
Lynn twiddles with her claws and asks the man, "Where could we find this hunter?"
