"Damnit!" A pothole rattles your car, you swerve a bit before regaining control, fortunate to be on a lonely mountain winder in the moonlight, not too much risk of hitting anyone else. It'd been a few months since you decided to live off the grid, camping out in your car at reststops, camping in national parks but out here was just the road and open mountain wilderness for miles. The engine sputters, in a fit of panicked confusion you check the odometer expecting to see some sort of indicator to the problem. You groan finding your problem to be a stupid one caused by your own carelessness, you're out of gas.
Your car sputters and dies as you drift off to the inner shoulder of the road your car hugging a forested hill going further up the mountain. "Awww Double dammit!"
You disengage the key from the ignition exit the car and start grabbing your camping gear. Well equipped now, you make your way up the hill find an odd narrow path roughly carved in the forest. Something about the way it's cut out causes a small anxious feeling in your gut but you press on finding a clearing about half a mile in. Relief is felt knowing you've found a place to camp and not long after you were set up brewing a thermos bottle of tea over a hastily built fire. Working in the darkness wasn't the ideal method of setting up camp but it would suffice till morning.
Out of the darkness, somewhere deep in the wilderness further up the mountain erupts the howls of wolves. The howls almost seemed like a lullaby in your exhausted state. You smile quietly sipping your tea as you flip through an old scout fieldbook. The howls lasted about an hour and kept your tired mind calmed oddly as you scrounged up a snack from your pack, a ration bar, it wasn't much but it was 600 calories of gritty apple cinnamon flavored condensed cornbread and it'd keep you going.
You lay your down in your tent as the howls die down and slowly drift to sleep.
- Crunch*
Your eyes dart open, having been awakened by the sudden shattering of the relative silence of the forest.
- Crunch*
Another closer but opposite direction.
- Crunch crunch*
Two more but wait they were on opposite sides of your tent.
Though you'd found a clearing that really only meant a small area where trees arced over head but didn't actually grow and now that little bubble had just gotten smaller. You continue to lie in your tent eyes open and ears scanning for every strange noise.
- Sniff*
Oh no...the wolves...they've found you.
- Sni-sni-sniff*
"I smell him! His scents coming from here!"
"Mmmmmmmm come out come out, boy!"
Two voices a soft hungry growl quick crunching bounded towards your tent.
"Ooh ooh! Look he's in there he followed our path!"
"Hook line and sinker sis I told you this trap would work!"
You see the silhouettes of two tall muscular women sniffing around your tent.
What would you do?
