Stuck in the body of a five year old in Lescatie 10 years before Druellas invasion? With nothing but my peasant family, my wit, and my skills.
Simple. I start to train. I'll need to be fast, tough, and a skilled woodsman. I push myself to the limitations of my body and past that, to the limitations of my mana. Punishing my limits until my limits move. At the same time I keep my head down and ear to the ground. I already know monsters fairly well so I don't have to draw attention to myself by researching them. I don't need much for magic beyond learning how to boost my physical abilities and maybe lob it someone, so I only need minimal study for that if any. Being peasant has its advantages, easy access to the wilderness, living on the edge of town as a farmer, and with the nobility and gentry being to stuck up to look at me, I have a pretty good chance of not being noticed by the upper echelons of society. My chances of being conscripted are fairly low.
On the ninth year I leave, heading out to find my fortune. Maybe head to Zinpangu. Maybe go looking for a dragon. Definitely continue to train myself up.
The whole world is ahead of me.
