Aigis glanced over to Jorge her stoic expression melting to reveal a hint of confusion as she attempted to make sense of the situation.
"Go. Lead her to the bath. The sooner you are done the sooner you can get on with your business."
Reassured by Jorge's words Aigis stood up straight and carried Cyndwella up the stairs and down the hall to the bathroom. The room though dark and dusty appeared clean enough for use. The tub appeared recently clean but the water in it was not as sanitary.
"I apologize for the mess but I was on standby for many years."
Jorge: "What about you Marcus? How did yoi find Ne'zon out here?"
Aigis: “Don’t worry bout it sweetness.” Cyndwella snaps her fingers, and several of her tins form a cross beneath the tube. A violet flame erupts from the center of the crossed tins. It bubbles the the water almost instantly as Cyndwella pours an array of fragrant solutions into the water. As the water foams, Cyndwella undresses and dips herself into the tub.
Caressing herself, cleaning and scrubbing, Cyndwella looks to Aigis.
“Aye, do you mind?” Cyndwella shakes a sponge at Aigis, while moving her long luxurious hair over her shoulder, exposing her back. “These hard to reach spots are a bitch.”
Jorge: “How’d I find her? In a very unimpressive way.” Marcus yanks a cigar from his coat pocket. In a series of movements familiar to Jorge, Marcus bites the end of the cigar off, strikes a match on his boot and holds it to the cigar as he puffs away. Smoke bellows from the legendary warrior as he puffs his cigar, savoring it’s taste before answering.
“I was following a child’s level job that lead me to this town. Some rich, noble shit lost something that I don’t care about. Ne’zon was at the spot where my leads took me. After I saw her, I forgot all about the job and discarded the job.” Marcus inhales deep his cigar and exhales a cloud of smoke.
“Kid has guts to do things the way she is.... must be her upbringing.” Marcus says before drawing from the cigar again.
Cyndwella: Aigis was hesitant to respond to Cyndwella's request. She was not her master and had threatened him earlier, but he did ask her to comply as to quicken her burden.
"Yes man. But I request that you do not splash. I do not have any clean clothes prepared."
Aigis took the sponge and began to scrub Cyndwella's back doing her best to not wet her hair.
"How long will you and your husband be staying with us? I would like to know before the market tomorrow morning."
Marcus: "Truly? You found her by chance? Even Armata and all his agents had a difficult time finding leads to Ne'zon and you happen onto her by chance. Truly this world is strange. So you said that you offered her a place in your home and she chose not to go? I would like to say that it was her upbringing but I doubt that I had anything to do with that."
Aigis: “Mmmmmmmm.” Cyndwella sighs in simple pleasure as she enjoyed the sensation of Aigis washing her. “Schmoopy and I are staying....” Cyndwella’s head then slowly turns 180 degrees, looking directly at Aigis. Her eyes wide and feral. “FOREVERRRRRR.”
Jorge: “I offered for her to take up residence in one of the empty homes in Lunalight, but she wouldn’t have it. She’s determined to do things on her own.” Marcus takes his cigar out of his mouth and exhales.
Cyndwella: Aigis stays silent for a moment as she continued to scrub her guests back. She was not certain if her answer was serious or not but nonetheless she continued with her task diligently as ever.
"I see. Are you two close associates with master and how long have you known him? What is his demeanor and temperament? I would like to prepare to better serve."
Marcus: "I am not sure if I should be proud in her choices. Either she's pushing away help for the sake of her pride or maybe she truly wants to do things on her own. I can never really know with that girl."
Aigis: Cyndwella’s head snaps back the way it should be. “He’s up tight, lacks any sense of fun and loves that clunky suit more than himself. You wanna serve him better? Suck his stiff member while he eats a sandwich. The guy’s lack of relaxation is jarring. He needs a good woman to show him what life is like outside that smelly armor.”
“Give him a bath and treat him like a king. He’ll realize what he’s been missing.”
Marcus: “As a father, I can say you should feel pride as well as disappointment. She’s strong, no doubt about it. Ne’zon doesn’t need to be tended to, but she’s still young and inexperienced. In her efforts to be self reliant she could very well set herself up for failure. In the end she needs to do this herself. Regardless, she at least knows that if she fails, she has options to fall back on. Lunalight is open to her. She’d never be turned away.”
Cyndwells: Aigis takes a moment to contemplate Cyndwella's advice and pauses for a moment before scrubbing once more. "He is fond of his armor and is dull as you say? I don't wish to change him, he is my master. I am but to serve him and ensure his life is without burden or lessen it if possible. How long have you and Marcus have been together?"
Marcus: "I can only hope that she is making the best decisions Marcus. Only time will tell right? Only time will tell if she is as stubborn as her old man. I want to grow old and see her do well Marcus. I want to hand her off at her wedding. I want to see our grandchildren grow. But that is only going to happen if she lets me stay in her life."
Aigis: “Schmoopy and I? Oh, 3 years now. Though it feels like a lifetime. Marcus adores me, he’s always following me around with his tongue hangin out of his mouth. He can’t get enough of me.” Cyndwella says in an almost bragging tone.
Jorge: “Or you don’t return to your Order pals and go genocidal....” Marcus unceremoniously mutters.
Cyndwella: "That is nice to hear. I assume that you two have conceived children in that time or am I mistaken? I do not know how busy your husband is with work."
Marcus: Jorge gave Marcus a long and silent glare questioning the intention of his words. "You assume that I would go back to that life even after I have stated that I wanted to be in Ne'zon's life. After I have stated that I am my own man and serve no master. After I have stated that I would abandon the sword? Marcus. Do you have no faith in me? Do you doubt my resolve?"
