The room was significantly much better than any normal room. For one, the flooring was polished wood instead of just being sanded, there was a small rug in between both beds, while the beds themselves looked plain. The blankets on them were dark green, almost the color of cooked spinach, yet the pillows were stuffed with Cockatrice down feathers, giving them a soft, plush feel. There was also a lamp on the nightstand in between the beds. This room was actually pretty nice! :)
MEANWHILE...
Mariana was up late at night, packing a few things up into her bag. She packed a small pouch of moondust, a few slabs of dry goat's meat wrapped up in leather, and a few herbs and spices. She tied up her bag and left the tavern, heading past the inn, and towards the request board, which Burden could see if he chose to look out the window above the nightstand. Mariana glanced around at the board, trying her best to use the light from whatever room was lit at the moment. She finally found a quest that read:
Weeding Out the Problem
There have been a few problems with a patch of carnivorous plants deeper in the caves. We don't know why they've become so aggitated. Have the Honey Bees not been polenating them? Nobody wants to go check it out, but we need someone to do it. Otherwise, the Dwarves can't get down to the mines!
Reward: 60 BP's or 30 SC's
P.S: These carnivorous plants seem to know how to fight back, besides just snapping at people. Beware the vines and roots! Not to mention, they can spray a paralyzing toxin.
'Doesn't sound too hard' Mariana said in her mind, as she tore the quest paper from the board and ran off into the depths of the caverns.
