@Everyone: Renwick follows after his Lord until he manages to catch up. Renwick has a devilish smile on his face as he follows behind, knowing that Aleric wants to talk in private. Together they travel throughout the castle passing by servants and the standard high class sorts seen before. They finally arrive at a wing populated with guards in heavy black armor adorned with red cloaks reminiscent to the Warden suit made for Jorge.
The guards do not move or speak as Aleric pushes his way through a pair of double doors. The Vampire gazed upon a stairwell consisting of bluestone and vary little light to speak. The windows provided only so much light for a certain depth, but the stairs went beyond that light, down deep into the darkness. Together the two began the descent into the dark. As the doors closed behind them, they spoke freely.
“What did you think of our guests, my friend?” Aleric started.
“Exquisite, truly exquisite. So many specimens I want to study. The on of multiple forms, the young man who is connected to the dark and light spirits. Cerberus’ son is an interesting subject as well, with his lineage and high concentration of Demonic Energy. His wives too, a chance to study a Pharaoh would be exciting. Oh, and of course the young one with the organic armor....” Renwick can barely contain his excitement at the thought of running tests on each.
“An ingenious idea to bring them all here and expose them to me.” Renwick chuckles.
“Mind yourself Renwick. It wasn’t just to expose you to them. If I am to operate unhindered in this world, I can’t have these powerful individuals mucking it up. The party was merely meant to give illusions of transparency, and yet maintain our secrets. Because of this, we won’t have to worry about our ‘guests’ interrupting our efforts....” Aleric replies, raking his Vampire claws upon the stonewall as they descend further and further.
“A good strategy my Lord.” Renwick praises.
“Yes, good. As long as our new friends do not stick their noses where they don’t belong.... What of your progress?” Aleric shifts the conversation.
“Cerberus has agreed to provide samples of his DNA for my new breed program. However, he refuses to mate with the monsters. Direct offspring are the key to furthering the program. He is a beast, it should natural for his kind to seek mates. What does he intend to do? Deliver samples in a petri dish?” Renwick becomes flustered in his tone.
“Hush Renwick. There are numerous ways to retrieve samples, and plenty of applications for them.” Aleric says smoothly, maintaining a levelheaded assessment of the situation.
“Indeed yes, by the Unseen, many applications. Though I’d find a more straightforward method more beneficial, and more agreeable. The dog is an idiosyncratic sort. He does not follow known norms of the beastkin.” Renwick scratches his chin thinking.
“That is because he is not the normal sort. He’s hellkin, or Hellbeast if you will. You know his origins and the tree he came from. His is a completely different breed, with it’s own quirks and nuances.” Aleric replies flatly.
“Sadly so. It would help if he cooperated like a good dog. Regardless, the experiments are coming along nicely. I have several strong female candidates ready for Cerberus’ samples. Then we can begin the forging process of the forging process. I believe with a few genetic modifications and a couple alchemical infusions, the process of exclusive females births can be changed. And if I go further with an accelerated aging process, you could have armies of physically superior monsters with a few years.” Renwick further explained.
“What of their minds? Their temperaments? Can we alter the docility breed into the monsters that roam freely in this world?” Aleric asks.
Renwick says nothing leading Aleric on, deeper and deeper, passing into a giant room loaded with support pillars that stretch endlessly. They then come to an elevator, an ornate golden trimmed one supported by heavy chains, they ride it down until they enter another much larger room that expands just as wide as the one above. This room however is properly lit, giving Aleric the full showing of it’s immense size. Platforms sit at connecting points between massive support pillars that have winding staircases wrapped around them.
Several platforms are cluttered with laboratory equipment and many other platforms are under construction. The ones that are completed have large animal sized tanks that look like something from a mad scientist novel.
“My Lord, any creature can be made to do anything with the right persuasions....” Renwick smiles.
