"Tch! It's about time they realized we were mutual wastes of time." Alex says, recalling the heap of iron ore. He disperses it into a cloud of particles that he guides through a smaller side aperture in his backpack where it is stashed away.
"But what about the adventurers in town? Won't it just make more monsters for them to fight."
"Yeah, but at least the influx seems to have diminished a bit, albeit steady still. If we want to truly help them, we have to find and take out their leader."
"Well, since our approach, I've been feeling an oppressive amount of mana coming from over there." She points in the direction of a hill further down the shore. "So that might be a good place to start."
"Aw, that's my Emmy!" Alex says, picking her up in one arm and patting her on the head.
"HOWEVER, that much magical power is definitely not something you can fight alone." she adds.
"But we're not alone, are we? Buckle up, partner; it's gonna be a bumpy ride!" He says prompting her to hold on tight after he changes his hold to a princess carry. "Nigel, Thunderous Charge!" The electric aura increases in range and intensity, then he dashes forward at transonic speed, creating a slipstream that sucks the enemies he passes in his wake before the sonic boom blows them away. The group of fleeing creatures out of his line of sight, Alex cancels his technique when he sees the halfling and his mount ahead. His legs lock and he begins skidding, but his momentum is too great and the wet sand too slippery to avoid a collision. Seeing that he wouldn't stop in time nor that he could alter his course, he front flips over the dog rider and flies back first through the wall of one of the houses closest to the beach.
