"And I'll have you know, that only those who were raised under the Order's blind hatred and bigotry generalize us all as sex-crazed nymphomaniacs. Anyone who has spent more than a second in a monster friendly settlement knows that we are perfectly capable of living a life that is not just sex 24/7, so cut the sass, princess Gill Head, before I decide to try out sushi tonight!" she scowls before turning heels and leaving her interlocutor.
"Depends on how far the destina–" The main hatch slides open and pieces of metal roll out of Alex's backbox and fall to the ground with heavy thuds and clangs, causing him to whip around. On closer inspection, one could identify them as a disassembled mannequin made entirely of iron, but most notably, the head presents no facial features, instead having a hole identical to the one in Alex's chest.
"Mimi... mimi… mi~…" the Mimic then flows out, limp from exhaustion. "Mimi brought… the body…" she pants.
"Ah! Glad you could join us, Miss Mimi! And thank you for bringing this most expected gift. However, it saddens me to inform you that you have missed the spectacle in its entirety…" he says on a jokingly formal tone as he crouches down to pick up the head in one hand while the other fetches an electrically charged cylindrical crystal from one of the box's side openings that he slips in the hole in the head.
"Whaaaa?! It's all over?! Mimi is so sorry she wasn't of any help!" she apologizes, teary-eyed.
"The blame lies not on you; the briefness of the events caught us all by surprise." reassures the elemental as their covenanter takes them out of his chest and inserts them on top of the battery before closing the glass dome over the exposed half. With a power source and a pilot, the body springs to life: the runes inscribed in a pattern identical to the lines on Alex's clothes light up blue and the disjointed body parts rise from the ground and levitate into their respective anatomical positions.
"What took you so long?!" Emmeline chastises the Mimic, returning in a bad mood from her exchange with the captive.
"Well, Mimi would like to see Emmy try to carry an iron golem up two flights of stairs all by herself!"
"It would have been much easier and faster to bring your chest down to the workshop instead, wouldn't it?"
The Mimic falls silent for a moment, then facepalms hard at her realization as her Gremlin rival gives her a smug smile.
"Alright, that's enough bickering, you two!" Alex intervenes, helping Mimi up, "“By yourself” you said? GLaDYS wasn't there to help you?" he questions.
"GLaDYS was busy with the housework and said that only a direct order from master Alex could override his last order."
"Well that's troublesome. I'm gonna have to have a word with that Automaton when we get back... Anyway!" he claps his hands together, then turns to the group, "Everyone, this is Mimi. Mimi, this is George, Mr. Stark and his Iron Man suit, Smol Boi and Good Boi, and I haven't found nicknames for those two yet." he points at the man leading the march, Brynjar and Catherine, Genrill and Sam, and finally the two siblings, respectively.
"Nice to meet you, George, Mr. Stark and his suit, Small and Good Boys and the Nicknamelesses!" she greets them, energetically waving a hand.
"“Nicknamelesses?” Good one!"
"Ugh! There he goes again..." Emmeline sighs, resting her face in her right hand, "Please, Mimi, don't encourage him in his stupidity..."
