Indeed, just as he guessed, the lance was also lighter than it should be, and just like the shield it seemed like there might be more to the lance...
After a while in the kitchen performing improvised alchemy, I step out of the kitchen. "Hey, Gideon, are they back yet? I can only do so much with what I've got." I tell him. "Also, if it smells like something is burning, don't worry about it too much, I'm trying to adjust." I add.
Gideon would nod and look out the window. He say Haythem approaching. "Haythem is almost back, and it you say so..."
Haythem dropped off the supplies at the mansion and knocked on the door, he left a note telling that he went to the river bank to fish for food and that he’ll be back within a few hours or so. So there he was at the side of the river looking into it’s pinkish murky depths with a smile. Haythem took off his shoes and journal as he jumped into the water and swam beneath the surface.
As he swam, he could slightly feel the effects of the demonic energy that had seeped into the water... Of course, since Rotwick and the area around it was far from becoming a Demon Realm just yet, it wouldn't do much.
"He's dropped off the supplies you've asked for." Gideon says, as he goes to start bringing the stuff in.
Indeed, if he did stay in the water for long periods of time, it would start to have an actual noticeable effect on him. One that would make him unable to resist any advances made on him by a Mamono.
Haythem’s senses began to dull by the second, he unsheathe his dagger and swam up to a trout luckily it wasn’t affected by the demonic water, which was good in terms of food supply. He stabbed the fish in its gills allowing the blood to flow through the water and around him before heading back to the surface of the river. Upon reaching it he inhaled sharpily and slowly swam to the river bed.
"Excuse me... Um, I don't believe I caught your name." He said towards the Kitsune-Bi.
