A Gremlin was currently riding through the scrap yard she ran as a source of parts for her tinkering. She was testing the homemade dirt bike she had finished yesterday and so far it was going well.
That was until a severely fatigued bolt that served as the front axle sheered and broke sending the bike out of control . Luckily, the Gremlin was able to bail with her jetpack and landed next to where he bike had crashed.
She grumbled a little and went to recover her bike. When she did pick it up, she saw that it was covering a big, round, orange thing. This peaked her curiosity so she left for a minute and returned with heavy load equipment to try to uncover whatever it was.
About an hour later, she had uncovered it and she stared in awe. It was a robot of some kind. Shaped like a Jack-o-Lantern with a face in it. The only problem was that it was broken.
However, it was late October so she had an idea that made her chuckle a little under her breath.
A Few Days Later
The Gremlin had everything ready for this prank. She had spent the week fixing the pumpkin robot's systems through its central computer system was too far gone to fix.
For that, she enlisted the help of her boyfriend who would control it through a computer linked into the control system (or what was left of it) of the bot.
Together, the two had put it next to their side walk which was a popular trick-or-treat path.
She would stand by in a window with binoculars and tell her boyfriend when to rev the robot up and activate it when some kids and parents walked just past it (thinking it was just a prop they had put out).
The two of them filmed every reaction to it. The best one was a Dragon, her husband, and their daughter. The Dragon herself was the one who reacted, jumping straight up and landing in a clinging hug on her husband, pressing her face into his back.
They collectively decided that they were so uploading that one online.
