"Hmm..." Elaine thought for a moment, contemplating. 'Alright. Test out my armor. I want to see how it fairs against you and your swordsman skills" she said, gesturing for him to try out against her armor.
MEANWHILE...
As Sinclair approached the crater, he could hear a voice. "OWIE! That landing really hurt!" it sounded like a young woman.
MEANWHILE...
Vanitia looked at Ascendare, "I suppose. You know, from what I'm getting, he's a bit slippery, isn't he? I mean, what are you going to do when we find him? I doubt he's going to leave willingly with us" she said.
"He isn't, but it's not like we can't force him to come with us. I have a sword, you have magical powers, we can work something out."
Curious as to why a woman would be falling from the sky, he checks to see if she is okay.
"Whoa are you okay? That was quite the fall you took." he says through the clouds of dust still swirling about.
A few moments after Sinclair asked if she was alright, a gust of wind caused the dust to blow away, also sending him back a few feet. The young woman flew up and stretched, "Alright. That's enough sitting. Now, where' that voice go?" she asked herself out loud, looking around for Sinclair.
MEANWHILE...
Vanitia smiled, holding magical energy in her hand. "That sounds fun," she said, her smile growing devious.
"Keep in mind that we don't want to hurt him, so don't think you're gonna get free reign with your weird mind stuff."
"Hello-o-o!" Sinclair said waving his arms around from the lake. Recalling his knowledge of monster-girls he remembers there were only a few types capable of flying and creating strong enough gusts that can knock people off their feet. Climbing out of the lake, a little peeved, he lays down in the grass to dry off.
"I wouldn't dream of it, my dear Ascendare" Vanitia said, as her magical energy dissolved and disappeared.
They'd soon approach a second village. The moon was barely over the horizon as well.
MEANWHILE...
The young woman, who was a Sylph, flew over to Sinclair and floated above him, her body lined perpendicular to his. "Hey there!" she said, waving.
"Bah, you definitely would, but thanks for trying. Anyway, do you think there's gonna be anything interesting in town?"
"Hi." he replied, narrowing his eyes at her. Seeing what he could now identify as a sylph, he is careful not to hold her actions against her.
"What are you doing lying down on the ground?" the Sylph asked.
MEANWHILE...
"You're right. I would have. However, to answer your question. I don't believe anything here would be any different than the other villages we were in" she said.
