"Sinclair." he said smiling. Realizing the sylph, Esme, is rather powerful he unknowingly behaves submissively in respect to her power.
"Say...Esme was it? If its not too much trouble, do you mind helping me out with something?"
"Sure. What is it?" Esme asked.
"Awww, thanks." Ascendare would say, smiling. "Though do you actually have money on you to pay with?"
"I seem to have gotten myself rather lost, would it be possible for you to guide me out of the valley?" he said very formally.
“Hmm, thanks for the offer, but I think I will keep my current set” Maxon said, as he went about retrieving and re-donning his breastplate.
“Are you sure, Maxon?” Caelia asked, clearly disheartened by his decision.
“I am. Enchantments are nice, but good steel must always come first. And while my armor isn’t as pristine as it used to be; it has protected me from injury and death more times than I can count” he replied, before turning back to Elaine. “I hope you understand.”
"Aww, but we just met. Why'd you wanna leave so early?" Esme said, giving Sinclair puppy-dog eyes.
MEANWHILE...
Elaine looked at Maxon confidently, "Of course I understand! It's just business. However, I can't just let you leave without repaying in some way for returning me my beloved mace. How about I sharpen all of your weapons for you?" she offered.
MEANWHILE...
"Not when I'm traveling, dear!" "Giselle" would shout back at Ascendare as she continued walking.
“Heh, I don’t see why not” Maxon shrugged. “But in truth, I also wanted to ask; do you stock bows and arrows? Because I kind of want to trade mine in for something small and light, like a dagger preferably.”
Caelia now looked somewhat shocked by this, but decided to hold her tongue and wait for Elaine’s answer.
"Well...i kind of...have some friends and one of them...really needs my help..." he explained sheepishly. Sinclair had not forgotten about Payge's situation and wanted to make sure she was okay.
"Please forgive my crassness, but they're quite important to me...and i would hate to dissappoint them."
"Of course not, dear. I'm nobility. Stealing a few coins would be considered petty" Giselle would say, as she entered the town's borders. Greeting, smiling and waving at the people as if she were a simple, modest village woman. Giselle would enter the village's nameless inn.
MEANWHILE...
Elaine gave Maxon a weird look, "Are you sure? You don't look like a dagger kind of guy" she said.
MEANWHILE...
Esme sighed. "I understand," she said. "You just have to climb over the valley walls or back up that narrow pass to get out," she finished.
