“It seems as if there’s a bit of confusion as to what my exact nature is-I Devin Sandblade or The Divine Paradox am not a god like you all nor am I divine in essence.but I am on the same cosmic hierarchy as the gods of my world, who exist beyond the linear passage of time and are unbound by the Wheel of Existence hence why I am known as a paradox, as to what my job is in that hierarchy I Balance The Dichotomy of The Grandfather Spider and The Grandmother Raven to keep order throughout the spiral just while I send my Avatar to other worlds to continue to help them in times of need out of the kindness of my heart. I sent my mortal Avatar to this unknown world to learn more about it and potentially offer it my protection. However it seems that despite my good intentions you don’t want me involved with this world’s conflicts. If that is your wish then consider it done but I do request that I can at least
stay for a few days longer as a tourist of sorts before I return to the spiral.”
Devin said making a extremely solid case for himself
Silence would fall over the room as they were no doubt discussing what to do with his statement. After deliberation one spoke up. “After taking among eachother, we will grant you leniency in this case. You shall remain for three days but no more. Afterwards you will return, until the. Do not meddle with mortal affairs in drastic ways.” One voice stated
"I see... In that case, Ren stay and help Echo. Me and Sakura will go out and pick up some food for Yamah and yourselves. Is there anything you want?" He asked, putting his mask away.
MEANWHILE
"I... I see... You are?" Afi asked the newcomer.
"My name's Mandla, miss! I look forward to working with you!" He said with a nod and Afi gave her own hesitant one as she got up. Of course, Farai would pick her up in a bear hug. Best to let them calm themselves and say goodbye...
"So, Yven, where is our merry group heading next?" He asked, holstering his large blade on his back.
MEANWHILE
And without pushing any further, Yakeru, Jynx, and Amelia would arrive at the tavern and enter. A server greeted them with a smile. "Welcome! A seat for three?"
"No. We're here for the bar." Yakeru said automatically and the woman would nod, leading them to the bar where Yakeru got up on a stool. "Let's hope the alcohol is still any good..." He remarked.
"Affirmative and negative." Echo replied as Ren was already at work taking apart her arm and using magical abilities to begin the repair work. "Thankfully I can use my magic to substitute actual Babylonian tools." Ren sighed in relief. "You girls rest up, we shall do the less scary work!" Sakura nodded.
Yven smiled at the sight before standing up from his spot "Well...hopefully without any interruptions! You can have a proper farewell, I'll be outside if you need me." Yven replied as he just walks away from the group
Jynx would get onto her own stool, her shortness noticeable next to Yakeru. Meanwhile Amelia stood around... Until Jynx urged her onto a stool too, despite some of Amelia's grumblings.
“You have my gratitude” Devin said glad he could stay a bit longer”
“The angels will see you out. Do not cause any more problems in the mortal plane or we will be forced to act.” One voice stated as a gavel was heard. This meeting was adjourned.
"Alright... Let's get going." Markus said and they'd leave the room and eventually the place they were staying. "Today is just a mess." He comments as they look over different places for food.
MEANWHILE
"Ah?" Mandla would watch Yven walk away from the group.
"You're going to someplace near where Lescate used to be. Trying to rebuild and all that... I guess?" Hatch said, walking over. "Say, mind if I take those bandits and turn them in?"
"Oh, sure. And thank you." Mandla said with a nod. Soon enough Hatch would step outside the secret passage he found for everyone where he'd find Yven.
"Well, Yven, I think this is where we split ways." He said, dragging the bandits behind him.
MEANWHILE
Soon enough a bartender would approach the three. "Heya! What can I get you... All?" She started but saw Yakeru and gave a confused look... For obvious reasons.
"...What? Got something on my face?" Yakeru asked but the bartender quickly shook her head.
"Ah, no-no. Um, your drinks, please?" She asked.
"Beer." Yakeru said, seemingly already having his mind made up.
“Man, those assassins are real annoying but those girls really kick some major behind. Babylonian times were something alright…But they both are nice people as well with power!” Sakura nodded as she dance walked with Markus.
What do you think?
