For example, I wouldn't want anything based on clowns. I don't like clowns. Admittedly, it probably wouldn't be that bad but it wouldn't be something I'd be overjoyed for.

Abyss when i said Mamono based on real life parasites i was talking about Mamono based on pathogenic parasites that cause diseases such as Malaria and other diseases,
you can still have the Nuckelavee be able to shapeshift itself into a more regular centaur be able to shapeshift herself into a more human form that has horse legs in a similar vein to satyros like MekRex mentioned.
Most of what you guys have listed isn't really any weirder than a Mind flayer, Shoggoth or Beholder, and those Mamomo turned out fine, IMO
Given the horror that is the humpty egg, though, I think the last thing I'd want to see as a monster girl is the Atropal from D&D:

@Ouchmaster5000 It's not about being weird at all, it's about primal fears for me, a Atropal mamono would be nowhere as scary for me as a Mamono based on Giloblastoma multiforme or DIPG which is the diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma which are extremely dangerous forms of cancer.
@Marius the grey A mamomo based on cancer would be pretty scary / fucked up. Previously though you mentioned mamono based on parasites and creatures that spread diseases which we've already had kinda (slime carriers, ropers, zombies, vamp mosquitos)
To me thats pretty different to me than a mamomo based on a mass of cancerous cells (that basically IS the disease).
I'd still say a mamomo based on cancer is about on par with a giant undead aborted fetus (which what an Atropal is)
Mamono are actually extremely disease resistant to human disease but they still can get affected by mamono diseases Which aren’t harmful but just affects their lust
I’m pretty sure the guide states that their demonic energy protects them
Mamono based on resident evil monsters is either a hard no to a maybe
But if we count unknown Op ass diseases in that case nothing could save them.
But who would want a Mamono based on
This is what I was talking about when I mentioned Mamono based on real-life parasites bacteria and viruses a Mamono based on those is/was/will ever be always a huge No-No to me no matter what.
Like their demonic energy is essentially divine protection it would take a very special disease that’s stronger than the demon lord or unconventional in a way to truly harm them like the Evilswarm virus which stems from an abstract entity
What do you think?
