It was a long carriage ride for Beatrice, she fell asleep partway through on the way there. But it came to a stop and the coach knocked on the door, startling Beatrice from her slumber.
Beatrice jerked awake. "Ahh!" She cries out, before realizing where she was. "Oh, uh,I'm just in the carriage..." She'd open the door after she got over the surprise of being woken up so suddenly.
The coachman tips his hat. "Apologies miss, we're here. The town of Southport, we're outside the eastern plaza. You know your way around here miss?" He asks.
"Yeah, thanks for the swift transport sir. Its been a while since I've been here." Beatrice says, smiling as took her stuff and got out of the carriage.
"Anytime miss, enjoy your stay!" He says before directing the carriage back out. The eastern plaza was just as she remembered it. The intricate stone walkways with busy passerby heading to their homes. This area was always the closest to the housing section of the town, the western plaza was where all the shops had been. The northern plaza was where the Arch-Mage's house was which was her destination. The southern plaza was for more of the actual business was done with the trade guilds and such. Beatrice never really went down there, but she still knew the layout. On another note, all the plazas each had a fountain of Arch-Mages who ran the town before starting with the first one at the northern plaza..
Beatrice practically skipped as she made her way to the north plaza, taking in all the sight sand sounds anew. She truly was back, at last! She welcomed the return to routine. The familiar sights of people going about their business, the statues of her Master's predecessors, the distant sound of ocean waves from the Harbor... It was bliss to the homesick mobile.
