He kept rubbing her head. It brought back memories from before she transformed. Happy times and certainly much easier, but it was all loving the same. "I'm always proud of what you accomplish Beatrice, now go get some rest." He told her.
(Before she transformed?)
(Yes, before she transformed and a little bit after.)
(I ask because Beatrice always was a Mamono, one that had been adopted as a pet/new family member by her Master's dad at a young age, unless this is referring to something else.)
(Oh, I wasn't aware of that. I'll remove that then. Sorry for the confusion! Edit: Ok, so it's too late to edit it, but just pretend that part isn't there.)
(Sorry, its my fault for not really clearing up backstory stuff like that beforehand.)
"Thanks... I'll go do that." She said, as she went to her room to get some rest.
(It's cool.)
When Beatrice left, she gave small smiles to Kirk and Richter as she headed to her old room. She headed inside, much of it was as she left and remembered it. The small work desk where she studied and filled out minor paperwork to help out now and again. The small bookshelf where she was read stories and taught herself how to read. The soft looking bunk beds with pillows and sheets made of...wait a minute...she never had bunk beds. A young Hakutaku silently reads at a small tea table with a cup of coffee. There's a large stack of papers next to her, all filled out and ready to be looked over.
"..." Beatrice blinked at the sight of a young Hakutaku. She was barely familiar with most Zipangu native Mamono, with the exception of a Blue Oni who had converted to the Order faith and worked at the local chapel... Anecdote aside, standing there staring at the Hakutaku silently was not making a good impression. "...Hi?"
The Hakutaku closed her book and looked at Beatrice with a dignified smile. "Greetings, you must be Beatrice, the current assistant to the Arch-Magus. I must admit, I didn't believe that the current situation of the household warranted such expeditions of staff to the front lines of combat. I find it fortuitous that the Goddess has ordained us meet in such an environment full of magical history! Tell me, do you find the ramifications of the laws passed throughout the reigns of previous Arch Magi to be more stimulating or the accumulation of arcane knowledge to be more of your stimulation?" She asked.
...Hmmm, this Hakutaku was an interesting character alright. "Uh, neither really. I'm more interested in local, more mundane history then either of those. Though I'm certain that reading more about either would be interesting?" She said. She definitely was less... Aware of the magical history of her home. She wasn't particularly gifted at magic, and saw no reason to look into anything related to it either.
What do you think?
