"Ah, that's good. She's researched a lot, and is pretty smart... If anyone would have an inkling of what happened to Una, it's Abigail."
"More than likely, I shall do my best to continue her education, but I get the feeling she no longer requires it..." She stated.
"Yeah...." Beatrice said, sighing. "I don't want to sound like I'm discouraging her learning so much so fast, but... I kinda miss that old Una, as selfish as it is to say."
She smiled. "Is this the regrets of motherhood I hear?" She teased. It was light-hearted this time, not like before when she had teased Beatrice in a negative way. This made her realize things really had changed between them.
Beatrice blushed, flustered by the comment. "N-no! I just liked being a role model for her. Someone she can look up to and relate to! But at this rate, I'll end up being the one who's looking up to her."
She giggles. "I'm sure it'll be fine. After all, you do take after your master." She told Beatrice.
Beatrice nodded. "Right... Can't be getting myself down just yet. I can be someone she looks up to still..."
She place a gentle hand onto Beatrice's shoulder. "I'm sure you can. She holds you dear, I'm certain. And when the master comes back, he'll see how much you've grown." She told Beatrice. Then there was a cough behind them both. "Ahem. Can I see you both in my office please? Oh, and bring Una as well, would you?" Abigail asked.
"Yes, and I'll go get her." Beatrice said, turning to go back to her room.
Una was where she had been, quietly reading at the small table with a gentle smile on her face. She stopped when she noticed Beatrice. "Can I help you with something Mother?" She asked.
What do you think?
