"Well, I plan on making a hearty meal on our journey. I've already secured us a map of the coastline, and the closest village inland is a two days journey from here. We'll, have to go out of the valley, and through the entire forest. Not to mention, there may be all sorts of beasts and villains in those wildlands. Of course, we may be able to hunt. But I doubt there'd be anything bigger than rabbits in those fields."
As Edna spoke, she took the pelt and meat of the rabbit, wrapping the meaty entrails in a her threads. She probably planned to use it for something, or perhaps eat it. Fritz could also see, the red, demon spider print on the front of her kimono glowed dimly. The blood that was stained on Edna's clothing immediately drained into the spider, adding to its red color.
"Alright. Now, we have enough to last us till tomorrow morning. If we're fast enough, we might reach the next town just before lunch! I'll need a small morsel for a nice lunch. Preferably venison. Yes, two slabs of venison, please, sir."
The butcher huffed as Edna asked for more meat, but didn't say anything since she was willing to pay all of this. He quickly sliced off two slabs of venison from a fresh raw deer behind him. "Labor and stock racks up to nine silver pieces ma'am." The butcher wrapped up Edna's meat and handed it to her, as she pulled out nine silver coins from her sack.
"Now, I just need vegetables and a pot for dinner tonight! Then, we'll handle anything else that needs to be done. Let's go," Edna would head straight for the fresh produce stall, where multiple different vegetables sat in baskets for the picking. "Alright, I'm making a Smoky Beef and Leek Stew tonight. So, I'll need.." Edna quickly picked out her ingredients, and completed her shopping. "Alright. I'll need to buy a bigger bag to carry all of these ingredients. But, did either of you have anything to handle?"
Patty thought for a moment, looking around and spotting the same young man who sold weapons yesterday. She quickly walked over to him, asking for a pair of bronze knuckles, paying him with four bronze pieces in return. "Done!" Patty said, as she rejoined the group.
