Perhaps I'm an Idealist, but I see tons of things that really does not fit the theme the story is supposedly all about. From the fact the DL loves Humans so much she has the need to alter and basically fix the entire race and make them like her, that erases the very thing that make them what they actually are, human. That's quite the arrogant approach, don't you think...Why can't the DL and the CG actually roll up their sleeves and work actively to fix the problem by being teachers and mentors to the people and show them with their own actions how to be better people!
The fact that fans embrace the 'true love' blatant lie. True love is unconditional and we can agree it is in most cases illogical to everyone around except those involved. Why would I need DE to change the physical apparence of my lover. I should love them for what they are and cherish those little 'imperfections' that makes them unique in who they are. But if they are insecure in their look, yet are for some reason shy to openly talk about it with their lover they will change ending up displeasing the one they love.
Also the there are more individuals of XYZ race out there if for some reason one was unable to propose/defeat/whatever the person they love in time and someone else beats you to it. It's like everyone purposely forgets that person is an individual and someone could love them for who and what they and not just simple looks.
The setting as KC intended works only on the basis that a single individual is fantasizing, because if you approach it on a larger scale the vast majority of folks in that world is getting the shaft in a way, shape or form. Same goes for RPing if you want to have a relatively fitting and consistent world.
What can I say, I know I'm a hopeless romantic caring for the masses of fictional people but I can't help it. MGE is a fantasy world I truly love and one I feel deserves the best. One of the very few out there I feel like that about. That's why I might be overthinking it.
I was always opposed to the Idea the only way to fix it is genocide that some people preach. It is easy to destroy something, as opposed to truly think about the problem at hand and actually try to actively fix it. The only way to fix it is to have both sides finding an agreement and working together on a fix, metaphysical, cultural or existential.
We need Garou, the world needs him!
The Vaudevillain: While some Mamono, usually the more powerful ones have more autonomous thinking, you can't deny the meta rule that the DL imprinted into every single one of them her own ideals and values, so to say that is not true is not correct on a metaphysical scale of things.
