I am now taking requests to review literature works from users.
When one writes, they tend to slowly get to see what works, what doesn't and many other little aspects of writing that all combine to make a story.
And with this, I want to offer my eyes and experience to those who would ask.
When requesting me to review your works I need several things answered.
1) What style of review do you want?
a) Do you want a "Functional" review?
A functional review will go into the deeper nitty-gritty that will largely ignore your story plot points and elements from a "story telling" perspective and go into what is weak, what is strong, etc.
b) Do you want a "Story Telling" review?
A story telling review will largely ignore everything except the plot elements and plot points that are the meat-and-potatoes of the story you are trying to tell.
If you do not specify which review you want, I default to "Functional"
2) Do you consider the story to be reviewed a light-moderate-hard work of your own ability?
3) To those who ask me to review their works, I ask that you realize that I have no dog in any fight that pertains to your specific ability for writing / grammar / etc.
You can either be patted on the head forever and believe yourself to be a writer beyond reproach and learning, or you can accept that I offer my reviews in the deep desire to be of service to others.
I take no pleasure in making others feel bad in what they write, or how it is perceived. Critics of my writings here can attest to my acceptance of constructive criticism, and my refusal to be drawn into a troll war.
4) And lastly, please give me the specific link to your story.
Only one request at a time.
This will be a rolling request post until I close it.
This means that once I read and review your works, I will circle back around to other requests you might make.
But this is going to go in the order of first come, first served.
Thank you, everyone.
Ever your Servant-
Ore-samma
