What is your unpopular opinion on either a mamono, or anything else about the MGE world?
What is your unpopular opinion on either a mamono, or anything else about the MGE world?
But it's the only piece of info about it in setting, so I can't go by anything else as it would make it headcanon or mere guesstimating. That, and it is indirectly related to a lot of other stuff in universe, so therefore I can't omit one part without making the other null and void.
As I once told you, world building and self-inserting are separate thing. If you want to self-insert, you set the rules, you can create whatever scenario you wish in order to get what you want. You can decide the girl you want was raised by her parents in a deserted island 5,000 miles from any inhabited land or whatever...
But from the point of view of world-building, of how the world works, the MGE has these plotholes... I mean, you have Grizzlies and Wererabbits who live in forests and rape and marry men who visit these forests... once married, do all of them travel to a remote land, raise their daughter there, and then she returns to the forest close to human lands in order to find her own mate? Like a salmon life cycle? Doesn't any of these girls say "this forest is my home, I don't want to go anywhere else!..."?
And then you have the girls who live in human settlements, like Nueronagos or Kikimoras... how the hell can you find an adult, single one?
This is not self inserting though. Now I'm following what Perentie has told me when I asked a similar question. What Aro is doing is creating a headcanon and then states that as fact. Something he does quite often from personal experience.
You seem to base your argument on mamono being able to live inside full on human settlements and in areas within human nations as if the Order didn't exist with most of humanity in their faith and that mamono go for any available man.
In nations and regions where humans co-exist with mamono are not only few, but usually sufferin a shortage of available men. Not to mention that many mamono live out in the vast wilderness. Even as adults the vast majority simply can't walk into a human settlement and take their time picking one out. Lescatie and Polove were quickly overrun and now have no single men left and tourism bringing specificly single men isn't sufficient enough as every damm tourist location in the side guides and books say they have a shortage of men and desperately want more.
So young mamono either face fierce competition by waiting for men to show up or have to journey away from home. Both are estimated to take years upon years before they get lucky and a journey will not start when they are 10. They likely wait until their late teens/early twenties when their bodies are fully grown to be at their full strength to handle the hazards outside of demon realms and to use full womanly bodies to seduce men as being into lolis is apparently a minority in MGE(Hence the Sabbaths wants to spread the love of lolis to the rest of the world and such)
There are constant references that men aren't easy to obtain for mamono unless they are like Ryu or Inari in Zipangu where they are worshiped as deities. Even in Zipangu a wild Ushi-oni will find herself being driven out of an area out of fear if she's too close to a settlement. There are also heroes that despite being so benevolent will kill mamono as most heroines in Lescatie tried to do so but were overpowered by Druella or her Baphomet general. Sasha having murdered mamono couples before doubting her faith, so human settlements comes with risks.
But a world should have strong, or at least functioning foundations, otherwise, even SI in it yourself is pointless if there's no rules whatsoever because one thing shit's on the other, it bugs me. And the more I love the work/setting the more it bugs me. I try to really watch for that crap, even more in my own MGE and Non MGE related work, and when I reread and I spot one myself, in my own fucking universe from my own fucking fork (I must curse at my dunceness sometimes) I axe it, no remorse for the nice action scene or development in it. If it breaks all you carefully built up until then is going out as from a Windu on Coruscant. I wonder sometimes if KC ever rereads his previous work for possible inconsistencies...
Why isn't anyone saying anything about Ash/Satoshi going around the world alone, in places an adult would not be very comfortable into, trying to catch some weird animals so he can use them in animal fights? Most Anime/Manga MCs are introduced at a young age in the story. There are exceptions, but are too few and poorly executed to count.
Sapphire, how is it headcanon if it's literally taken from the official source? Seems to me you're cherry picking what you want to be canon and negating the existence of what you do not like in setting, even if there and made vague enough to go more ways. While for me, if it's in official publication, or officially released, as otherwise known, then it's canon.
You said it yourself that Dragons dying and becoming Dragon zombies dosen't have specific information if it happens to all of them or not, and then you start talking about using SI and headcanon to fill in the blanks whilst you claim it truly dosen't happen to all of them. That is not official.
It is amazing how you are projecting your cherry picking onto me while I am the one only going with canon information, and the details that aren't described I take from one of if not the most veteran fan among the Western audience aka Perentie.
You seem to have a grudge against Demonic Energy and you alter the way it works to suit you better.
Don't start being like this again Aro, please.
I don't care about your issues with KC or how he writes MGE and I really do not care about your MGE work.
I'm simply passing along a solution to the plotholes Gareah sees, that adds up to the official material and was first brought up by a long-time and well-versed veteran fan that also only deals in canon information.
Yet it says most of them does become one, not ALL OF THEM, so right back at ya. What can one assume from the wording 'most of'? Point to me where did I say 'all are' or anything like that in my posts?
Also If you wanted to debate in good fait, you wouldn't quote the abomination you cut out and edited from my sentence (excluding all you didn't like like with everything in your life apparently). The lacking details are not what concerns the discussed ZD's , but another issue I addressed there, before being derailed by this ZD stuff, that's unimportant anyways.
Pokemon doesn't make sense. Don't try to make sense of that world, it is a futile effort... there are too many unanswered questions, too many things that don't make sense...
Are there normal animals in the Pokemonverse? If so, why do we never see them in the anime? If not... do Pokemon and humans butcher and eat Pokemon meat...?
Does everybody have to accept a challenge to fight like in the game? What if somebody is like, keeping a Chatot or a Lillipup as a pet and doesn't want to have it fight? What if you are keeping a Gogoat as a mount to move around, do you have to stop an accept every challenge from every punk that stops you while going to work?
Why are all the nurses and policewomen clones? I get they are "cousins", and that they are all alike because in the games they are so... but come on, why did the anime writers fill the world with clones without explaining their nature...?
Why aren't human espers more relevant in the world? Come on, they have people with godlike powers, literal reality warpers that are more powerful than any pokemon... why doesn't society make more use of them...?
And the answer to all that, is, of course, that the anime is mimicking the game, so it doesn't try to make sense as a self-contained world... you just have to accept it and ignore or headcanon away the bits that don't make sense...
You still have to headcanon a lot in order to keep the world the way it is. Zipangese mamono can live among humans without being bothered. There are mamono like Kikimoras, Holstaurs and Kobolds that live among humans, either openly or passing for humans. And KC himself has said that some mamono species like Dwarves, Elves and some Goblin tribes who visit non-radical Order towns and trade with them...
These girls have all the chances to meet men before adulthood. So you have to either remove that they start chasing men at ten, or you have to have them restrain themselves for like ten years until they meet their "fated one...".
Yeah, I don't think that many guys would like a story where they marry a Wererabbit or Werecat who is the town bicycle, but when you have a girl who will rape anybody who smiles at her, and another who will have sex with any man who gives her matatabi... well, it just doesn't add up... either they marry very young, or they have sex with more than one man during their lives...
You say in good faith yet you actively lie just to have an argument. I didn't say that you said "all are", stop making stuff up you victim.
you wouldn't quote the abomination you cut out and edited from my sentence (excluding all you didn't like like with everything in your life apparently)
What are you even talking about? You seem quite upset with that attempt at an insult. Who's not in "good faith" really? Rather than debate my points you turn hostile.
I'm done talking to you, have a good evening.
Not all mamono can live in all settlements in Zipangu. Kikis, Holstaurs and Kobolds aren't frequent in all human settlements either and they are few outliners in this. Also, it's noted with Kobolds being taken care of in human settlements is a possibility, having sex with and having children with them is still frowned upon. When she get's pregnant or the man becomes an Incubus then continuing to live in that city and raise said daughter becomes a risk. Thus they could move out and raise their daughter until she grows strong enough to venture out on he own.
The reason this dosen't hold up is because you are set that mamono rape any men when possible regardless of the situation.
The reason there is a plothole is because the majority of mamono obtain husbands as adults and I've provided points that can fill the plothole. Most profiles mention "a man they fancy" which means they need to select a man based on unknown requirements.
The reason the Order exists and takes up the majority of mankind with it's faith is so there is a conflict that prevents easy access to men and makes wild mamono pounce on a man that strikes their fancy.
We had our discussion about mamono preferring powerful and overall great men as we have evidence of several mamono being picky and even extremely so to the point they can be single for a century whilst not sleeping around.
The newer lore about being fated to a mamono is to cut off loose ends to further prevent the idea of bad ends. With the RPG demo we have not full on proof, but strong references that mamono last to adulthood as singles even as Werecats that go into heat and live as close to human settlements as reasonable, and bond with the first man they sleep with.
If that's hostile then I have nothing more to say to you, I wouldn't want to hurt your frail feelings. Do you see any insult or attack in my post? Besides what I stand behind, you butchering my post, forcing the discussion away from the point I originally addressed, that's called derailing a discussion, and you did it knowingly and intentionally.
But hey, who cares anyways, right?
What do you think?
