@The Vaudevillain Veteran It doesn't sound like its an official rule for the wiki, nor does KC really have any sway here (Plus for all we know its just written to avoid legal troubles, who knows if KC ACTUALLY has an issue with kids reading his stuff. I certainly don't)
Also, if the whole argument for banning him is that teens aren't "mature" enough to handle the content, isn't permabanning someone as an adult for an "immature" decision they made as minor rather hypocritical?

Ochiverde was right to permaban Emerald the second time.
Rules: Disciplinary Policy
Any user who attempts to subvert his suspension will receive a permanent ban.
Since Emerald done just that he got himself permabanned. While I agree that Ochiverde banning him the first time was extreme, he had it coming the second time. If you have an issue with this go ask Ochi why he permabanned Emerald the first time. Why must we allow users under 18 to be here? Teenagers before the age of 18 have not gone through all the stages of brain development and with internet porn being so easily accessible 24/7 it easily turns into a compulsion and it's not advised to teenagers whose brains are still developing. Teenagers, regardless of what they are told, interpret the way pornographic sexuality works as an option for real life sexuality.
@The Vaudevillain Veteran Literally every person I knew in highschool watched porn. Most of it far more explicit and degenerate than anything on this site. If its as damaging as people say it is, then everyone has been affected anyway.
And since, as far as I can tell, there's nothing stopping Emerald from just making another account and not announcing that its him this time, this whole ordeal has just been a pointless exercise in ostracization, hurt feelings and smug self-righteousness. It accomplished nothing, save for the destruction of historical data, which is objectively awful and unjustifiable
@Ouchmaster5000 Why do you want underage teens to be here? This an adult porn site not Youtube Kids.
@Ouchmaster5000 Because as someone who looked at far more pornographic stuff as teen myself, to say that I think teens aren't mature enough to handle this one would be hypocritical.
Just because I'm older now doesn't mean I've forgotten or can't imagine myself in a younger persons shoes.
And even if you disagree with me on that, permabanning someone so they can't rejoin as an adult, just because he joined as a teen is still pointlessly cruel.
This is getting out of control here. @Ouchmaster5000, can you just not accept that EmeraldDigimon broke rules and therefore had to be banned? Yes, the ban itself was rather disproportionate, but that can still be fixed.
TL;DR, underage kids (especially with Emerald's lack of maturity) should not be having pornographic discussion with strangers online. If we hadn't banned Emerald it would have been highly unethical from us.
If by fixed, do you mean restore the older posts, and reverse the permaban once he turns 18? That feels like the only remotely reasonable thing to to do.
Personally I'm rather miffed that Ochiverde even gets to stay admin given how disproportionate his reaction was.
I agree with timjer and respect his decision for reporting emerald purely because he was smart enough to cover his bases. The other mod did not need to delete all of his stuff. As to why emerald was perma banned I’m not to sure as I’m not a mod. After a year I think he should be able to come back. I have other views based on what else others have said but I refuse to go into this any further opinion wise than this.
@Ouchmaster5000 EmeraldDigimon did nothing but shown a serious lack of maturity, and then acciddenaly reavealed he was indeed underage.
"reverse the permaban once he turns 18"
How do you do thta? Ask him when he turn 18? Obviously he will tell you he is already old enought. That case work only when the person already stated their age.
Of course teen can alway just not state their age, or Emerald could just create another account and not make the same mistake, but it work just like the warning on a +18 website where you just click a button to proceed : Legally, the staff is doing their part, if there is ever an underage kid here and they are called out for it, they could just say they didn't knew. If there is an underage user and they know about it yet do nothing, then there could have problems.
It's not really written on the rule, because the fandom is not +18 website, so it cannot really be told otherwise here.
From the fandom community guidelines :
"But that nudity should not be the focus of the wiki, nor should it be excessively explicit."
The wikia does not exactly respect that rule, and is really on a thin edge (but so are numerous other wikia).
Also it's fucking common sense that children shouldn't be involved in discussion revolving around sexual theme and fetish.
"I'm rather miffed that Ochiverde even gets to stay admin"
He did only one questionnable descision, wich is deleting his past post, and I think it was to get rid of all his numerous post/dumb questions wich were often unneeded.
Or maybe it's not, I don't know, but hat's not enought to say the staff should be replaced, it's litteraly not a big deal at all.
What do you think?
