I think I wanna get started writing my own one shots and get back into writing in general, so fire away friends.

Yandere Angel starts stalking a guy.
One shots eh?
A Gandharva/Siren idol coming back to a childhood friend who's down on his knees.
A Griffon adventurer/treasure hunter who meets her match.
A Girtablilu assassin retiree? Sounds like a plan.
A Baphomet convincing a guy to start a Sabbath with her. :D
A Bogey and a kid growing up distant from one another and eventually meet each other years later.
-Jeiel Yozama, giving ideas. :)
A dryad who wants to know what's on the other side of a mountain.
@JeielYozama You can just start a sabbath?
I'm going to start my own sabbath! With adults! And blackjack!
. A lonely phantom living in a abandon manor meets her first human man in centuries. She encourages (pleads) the man to stay so she give him a “tour”.
. A wurm goes on a rampage and beats the ever loving hell out of the heroes that harmed her husband.
. A lone miner disturbs an acha nacha living in the mineshaft. She captures him and brings the human back to her lair in order to “torment” him. At first he puts on a poker face and doesn’t react to her petty insults and threats, angering her for not giving the reaction she wanted. But only when she starts threatening to bite him his calm demeanor breaks down, much to her amusement.
That’s all I got her now \(:/)/
@Zephyrgun a Baphomet can. As long as she has an onii-chan with her. And a clear goal of study in mind. :) Plus, I do believe it has to be approved by the main Baphomet council. Especially by the main girl Baphy-chan of the Demon Lord's Army.
I got nothing but ideas, here's some that I've posted before
a dense forest, grown up and around an abandoned city. Plants sprout through every crack in which they can find purchase, vines and branches growing up the sides of buildings and out of windows, some architecture almost enveloped by plant life. Which people or civilization might have lived there? Why did they live? Who or what lives there now?
A tall stone tower with a spiraling staircase. At the top lives a wizard, leaning over a desk engrossed in the pages of a heavy book on magic. White or gray hair, a fine flowing beard, billowing robes and the pointy wizard hat.
Automaton hacker
Because of the increasing disposability of things (and generally shorter lifespan of products) the karakasa and chochin-obake monsters cannot be formed as frequently (being formed from umbrellas/lanterns which have been through a lot of use)
Clan of witches who formed before the rise of the current demon lord, mostly concerned with continuing their previous magic practice. The sabbath regularly comes knocking at their door to try and convert them
A team of goblins and their hobgoblin captain are looking for a few more members to help them in the upcoming goblinball tournament
Doppelganger takes form of girl but the real girl comes back
Imagine a group of seedy, dangerous guys, real ruffians, bandits even. They’ve gotten one younger boy/man who is far less experienced in the general profession of foul play. While they appear to be training him, giving him jobs that will allow him to improve his bad-guy skills to become a member of their gang, they’re really sending him on risky jobs. Either he’ll succeed and bring in some profits, or fail, and they can escape with no losses to their actual organization. Until the fellow meets a monster who persuades him otherwise. I actually got this whole idea, the gang is planning on attacking a group of orcs to sell on the market, and they send the man to take care of the high orc leader. But she convinces him to join her instead and they lead the orcs to overpower the gang. But there’s probably other ways you could spin this story
A few ideas from literature/folklore (all of which should be available on wikipedia)
King midas (greedy king who loved gold, wished for the ability to turn things into gold with his touch, comes to regret it-this is like tailor made for the creeping coin)
Rumpelstiltskin-a story with a number of variations from different countries-Between the premise of a man’s daughter being locked in a room by a king and given impossible tasks, a goblin/gremlin figure offering to do that task in exchange for her firstborn child, and the girl eventually outsmarting the figure by learning his name, there’s a ton of directions you could take this story.
The most dangerous game-a short story about a man offered a large sum of money to play in a game of life or death. The man making the offer is an incredibly wealthy person who has gotten bored of hunting large animals and concludes that the best thing to try and hunt is humans (the twist is the realization of “game” referring to large animals hunted for sport, and humans being more dangerous than any wild animal because they can think). What follows is a battle of wits between the two, each trying to survive while killing the other. As a short story, it’s a good read.
The cask of amontillado-short horror story-I don’t know how you would insert mamono into the story but I’m amused by the idea.
Hansel and gretel witch is monsterized by a specialized mamono team
Troll under the bridge
Trumpart wonderland tour
Kamaitachi
The profile mentions that rarely Different daughters of different parents will come to like the same man, so imagine the youngest daughter of some kama triplets falls in love with a different man than her older siblings (I say the youngest because this could make it more challenging for her, both in justifying her decision to her older siblings and also she’s not as skilled at combat as the oldest). But she’s adamant in her decision, requiring her sisters to find a third member and her To find 2 more kamas
Danuki
Running a shop in plain daylight in an order city-she uses magic to disguise it and will sell to either other mamono in hiding or humans who happen to stumble across it
A similar but slightly different direction for the same concept-see The tv tropes page the little shop that wasn’t there yesterday- (example, the shop that sells a mogwai in the movie gremlins) a danuki runs such a shop and uses it to appear all over the world, selling whatever magic junk she acquires. Could be used to give someone a magic item or tool, maybe even hook him up with a mamono
Different idea-guy finds a large stash of money and is trying to figure out whether to use it or leave it ge, especially trying to avoid suspicion. (Luckily?) along comes a danuki who is more than happy to help him put it to good use without raising suspicion. Could be used either in the modern age, where he found a huge pile of gold, or the modern era and it’s a ton of bills
man runs ice delivery service in the era of dangerous monsters, against the risk of running into sandworms. later runs into trouble from competition when monsters become less dangerous (potential for glacies who lets him use his powers as a pure elemental and later is monsterized)
A person wanders into dark and foreboding woods, despite the warnings of the people, in pursuit of a strange voice they hear
Man trying repeatedly to woo a particular monster. she's far stronger and it always results with him on his ass because she believes there's a big strong hero coming through. Soon enough, she realizes how endearing the man's efforts are, and he is finally successful
Here's some things from other people
I really think more people should give some attention to this wwyd from a few weeks ago, about winning a vacation with a given mamono, and each person who responds chooses the mamono and the vacation destinations for the next respondent
I liked these two that were suggested by L man in a thread about underrated mamono from a month ago.
(Sahuagjn): while out fishing, a man finds a metal object poking out of the water. The object was actually a spear that belongs to a sahuagjn, who was lying in wait for fish. And since her hunt was ruined by the man, she decides to make him her ‘meal’.
(Myconid): A man is chased by a myconid in a swamp. Although he manages to overpower her and throw her off (which doesn’t hurt her in the slightest), she releases a ton of spores whenever she comes into physical contact with him. Eventually when he’s cornered, exhausted, and under the effects of the spores, she finally gets him.
What do you think?
