…But what idea could even be effective at this point?
This is a Raiju and Succubus that is right before me. One is a mamono who is capable of hunting me down within a single breath’s time, and the other is a wily mamono who could seduce and lure me back.
Even if I were to struggle with the strength of a desperate creature with all wit turned to strength, I would have no chance of escape at all.
I suppose that my fate is to be taken by these mamono. A regrettable fate, but one that doesn’t deserve raging against, considering that it is my own folly that led me to this conclusion.
Yes, my only folly was letting that so-called ‘champion’ dictate my own life. Under him, I am but a chained slave for him, although officially, I am a voluntary assistant.
Voluntary… oh, how the Chief God would bitterly laugh at such a heretical lie.
He barely does enough for me to ensure that I didn’t have any intentions to personally murder him in his sleep out of spite and bitterness. He gives me barely enough for me to buy what is needed to sustain me adequately, and he drives me around like a pack-mule with little dignity. The only times he actually showed me proper respect is when I’m too weak to do anything, and even then, his words are still condescending.
I could care less about him, especially when he’s flaunting such privileged powers before me without the responsibilities that a standard hero would have one. A vain and selfish wretch, who has a narcissistic streak as wide as the region itself, that’s all he is to me.
How many times have I bit my lip to not return a scathing word to him? How many times have I mentally tamed myself to repress my bitter feelings towards him, as they grew and grew with each indignity he saddled me with?
Not to mention, that his so-called invincibility is also held up by me. If he did not know the weaknesses of the mamono who he faced, and if I did not provide him that aid, I’d like to see how he’d make it through all those fights.
And that’s my biggest source of enmity towards him: He owes me for his streak of victories, and yet I have to pretend that it is his non-existent wit that achieved it, especially to everyone else.
And look where it got him. I told him not to underestimate the Raiju, especially after she transformed into the ‘Exceed Charge’ form that I coined, from reading such entries. But did he listen? No, he instead presumed that there was no change, and now he’s good as dead.
And now, because of him, I’m forced to join him in his fate. However, I don’t intend to become a mere trophy like he will. I deserved a better ending, and I will flicker my tongue and rack my mind as much as it takes to ensure that they will not ruin me, or at least keep me with some shred of dignity and respect when this is done.
Just as I finish my thoughts, the succubus finally finished checking that champion to ensure he’s really down. And the Raiju, she’s looking right at me, with predatory eyes and grin, as if she caught juicy prey. Guess with how I look, I’d say that she can’t be just desperate for me, since she’s got better prey than the champion.
“Well, well, looks like he brought another one! And a cute one!” She stated with a excited tone, before she then walked over, as I remained still and mentally chanted to myself to stay calm, no matter what. “What’s someone like you doing with such a meat-head like him?”
“…I am his squire.” I declare firmly, but not strongly, to give the impression that I’m not weak, but I’m not vying dominance over the Raiju, who will definitely infuriate her. “It’s my responsibility to ensure that he is well-equipped and well-prepared for his battles.”
“Seems you didn’t do a good job.” The Raiju clicks her tongue, before she then caressed my left cheek with her hand, as the black silk of her sleeve-guard brushes softly against it. “Aren’t you going to run? You people are usually quite scared of me. Everyone I don’t personally beat into the ground, they scurry away, and give me a chase, some which are fairly entertaining… and others disappointments. I expected you to run.”
She was right, I could have run… But because I hesitated, and the fact that it was a pointless endeavour, I chose not to.
“And if I told you that I’d surrender myself to you?” I responded back, hoping to get a reaction from either mamono.
And a reaction I did get, as the Raiju blinked a few times with a surprised expression, as her smile turned even.
“Surrender? I’m surprised that you’re actually saying that.” The Raiju answered back. “You sure this isn’t some trick? You look like the scholar type to me.”
“You read me like an open book.” I answer back with a casual tone, to lighten the atmosphere a little. “But unfortunately no, I don’t have intentions to trick you. I’m going with you one way or another. May as well come willingly, and not end up fouling up relations with my captors.”
“Ho ho ho…” The Raiju’s smirk returned, which is a bad sign for me, before her body crackled with electricity. “And what makes you think that I’m going to take you, when I could just kill you here?”
…I’m nervous hearing those words, but not because I’m afraid of being killed. It’s because those who say that, are more inclined to do some… painful things to their captives, if they’re a certain kind of mamono. Fortunately, a Raiju is rarely one to do such a thing, but presuming that much is dangerous for me.
Mamonos wouldn’t kill us. They need us to satisfy their urges. That’s the basic principles that my home-region, one of the more moderate regions under the rule of the Order, inscribed within me. It’s still a sin to sympathise with wild mamonos, but at least some mamonos are legal, being the docile and tame kind.
I’ll admit that my experience with the ‘tamed’ mamonos has left me with a fairly higher opinion of them, compared against the regular citizen of my region, and definitely far more than those in the anti-mamono settlements of the Order. Still, I have no intentions of letting them take me, unless it’s the only choice I have, like right now.
“…Would you?” I smirk back, calling the Raiju’s bluff. “Surely, if you could beat the great champion, killing me would be a simple task with a flash of your lightning. And would you really kill a ‘cute’ one like me? My kind rarely comes, you know?”
The Raiju paused for a moment, before she then laughed like she heard my words as some great joke, before she then released me with a amused grin on her face.
“Oh, I was definitely right to take someone like you.” The Raiju answered back. “The rest of the people in your situation would have pissed their pants and begged so miserably, or they’re hurling insults at me like a mad minotaur. You’re such a intriguing exception. Besides, killing’s not my style. I prefer to just beat anyone who thinks they can impose their rules on me.”
“And that resulted in the infamy you got.” I remarked, before then scoffing. “Extremists… they really make a situation go sour. Paint people in bad light, and do their best to find whatever excuse they can to do what they fanatically worship.”
“You seem like a good fit for me, even though you’re a bit scrawny.” The Raiju answered back. “If you come with me, I’ll make sure that you’ll find every day a pleasuring experience.”
“Well, can you at least hear me out?” I suggested, as the Raiju narrowed her eyes at me, impatient about the matter as expected. “Now, I’m not turning down your offer. If I’m going to get taken, may as well get taken by the one who offered to take me, with fairly decent terms and a personality I can get along with. It’s just that I ask that you let me stay human for a moment?”
“Hm? And why’s that? You’re going to need to be an incubus eventually, right?” The Raiju asked back.
“Undeniably so. It’s just that I want to actually keep my mind as it is.” I respond back. “I always wanted to be a researcher before I was shoved into the job with this idiot and narcissist of a champion. Even when he took most of my time away, I studied enough to be able to do proper research. If you let me stay as I am, I can be your researcher, your specialist, so to speak. And that brings benefits to you, your friends, and even your entire community. I can’t exactly do that if I’m forced into a incubus mind-set, where my head is addled with thoughts of fucking you silly 24/7. Maybe I’ll still be as smart as I am in being an incubus, but I want to at least have a grace period as a human researcher for as long as you let me. Can you at least consider this? Surely, there are some cases where captive humans were subjected to a gradual transformation process rather than a forced one right?”
The Raiju placed a hand on her chin, before turning to the Succubus. “Hey, Gloria, what do you think of his suggestion?”
“Who cares? He’s willing prey, so I say we take him. We can sort the details later.” The Succubus impatiently answered back, with her wings flapping rapidly. “All I care about is taking this big hunk and pleasuring myself until I faint out of pleasure!”
She then looks back at me, as I merely raise my arms with a nonchalant shrug.
“Well, if you put your argument that way, I suppose that I can let it be.” The Raiju answered back with a satisfied smile. “But I warn you, don’t blame me if you get bed-struck when I accidentally slip out of control with my pleasure-pulses.”
“I’m not going to let myself be weak. You want a better husband, I’ll exercise myself to get stronger. And when I do, you’ll get the pleasure you wanted, and more.” I grinned back with a passionate look in my eyes.
“Wahaha, now that’s a husband I look forward to having!” The Raiju laughed heartily, before seizing me in a bridal carry, which I found slightly embarrassing. “By the way, you sure you’re not regretting this? You’re with the Order, after all.”
“Already not a part after losing to you all. May as well change homes, and make the best of my new life.” I answer back without any hesitation. “Chief God said that no matter where life takes you, you value your life well, and do your best to be happy. Even if you’re a mamono-sympathiser, as I’m going to be soon.”
“Well, from that, it doesn’t sound as bad as the other mamonos think of them.” The Raiju answered back, before she then began to dart out of the lab, and through the surrounding forest, towards the direction of mamono-owned lands. “By the way, name’s Raiko. Be sure to call it out when we’re having real fun together.”
“Then here’s mine: Giron. I’m sure that you’ll be calling mine at the same time.” I chuckle back.
The response that Raiko, my blue fluffy-eared soon-to-be wife, gave me, was a gentle peck on the cheek that gave me pleasure, that I suspected was from the gentle jolt of pleasuring lightning she coursed through her lips.
I’m going to miss my life back at home. My friends, my work, barring what I did for that champion, and my fame. But still, I’m not going to regret it much. A new life start for me, a life that I’m going to make the most of.
And it’ll definitely be a interesting one, with a horny weasel with lust as high as the skies, as my wife.
