It's annoying when the GM just disappear.
I did prepare something like that. It was a WWYD based on the first Iron Sky movie. With the Order who escape on the moon after the Overlord final victory. I was very engross in it and it turn into a full novel. I'm kinda stuck at the counter attack now. Since it clash with KC's rules a lot. I did keep listening to that one for a long time while making it.
Hum? Are you preparing something?
Fayard waited for the right moment to speak. In particular, to let the most senior officers begin. When his turn came:
"My troops are in garrison. We are making sure to pacify the area for the moment and to uncover any attempt at revolt. Nothing to report for the moment."
(Still actively waiting to play and checking once a day)
Fayard was getting impatient. But he distracted himself by carving a piece of wood with his dagger. Not really knowing what he was trying to do. Anything to keep his mind busy.
The mercenary decide to start by looking for information on his mission. "But where to start off?" he wondered looking at the town.
"Hello. Here are my documents." he said, presenting the contract issued by the lord.
The mercenary approached slowly without abrupt movement. Observing the security level of the city. Wondering if the guard would bother to stop him.
He cleared his throat and start advancing toward the gate.
(just to be sure. From the vibe i get from that wurm... we are in a pro monsters region?or a green demon realm? And i'm not suppose to see mamono as evil like the Order wish? I would hate making things incoherent with my reactions)
He checked that he was clean enough not to look like a pauper. He couldn't do much about the damage to his defensive equipment, or the donkey carrying his belongings.
Goes forward without hurrying. Not seeing the point of tiring himself and his mount.
He quickly found his way and decided he was on the right track.
He took the opportunity to swallow a slice of dry sausage before resuming walking.
(sorry the page did not upload correctly and i can't delete the post)
He checked his map to make sure he was going in the right direction. He was more accustomed to the hills and forests than to the mountainous landscape, which he found oppressive.
The area was vast and he didn't really know where to start without risking alarming the locals.
The mercenary kept a careful eye around him. Turning around from time to time to see if he was being followed. Making him look paranoid. But he never stopped walking. Stopping only to let his donkey drink and rest. Giving him the excuse to sit for a while.
A mercenary wearing a blackened, dented plate armor, advanced accompanied by a donkey carrying his bags and some weapons. On his armor was a tabard worn by time and the elements. Against a previously black and now gray background, a wolf's head with a howling profile and exposed fangs, was pierced by two swords.
The makeshift padding he had made limited the noise of the armor, but made travel more painful, compressing his muscles further. From time to time he cursed the mountains he had to cross. The helmet was open, leaving a tired and worn face visible. A short mustache and unshaven beard protruded slightly.
The donkey was nothing special for the modest workhorse that he was. Except for the various saddlebags and travel bags strapped on his back. An arbalest and a bec de corbin were securely attached separately, but easily accessible in case of need.
In a MGE setting?
