“I pray the Chief Goddess will lead us to fellow Orderites. They’ll be able to help us quite well.” Whiskey explains before taking another bite out of the piece of meat.
“Listen, when we get back to civilization, I’ll whip you up a wonderful meat dish. It’s the least I could do.” Whiskey explained with a few solid nods. It really was the least he could, since Mek did help him.
“How can they manage to do that?! Free food... This is amazing!“ He exclaimed with excitement, still shocked by such a fact.
“That looks like an award winning piece of meat right now.” Whiskey stated with a chuckle before biting into the piece of meat. It was hot no doubt, but he was hungry,
“Fr... Free?! What do you mean?! That’s impossible, surely!” Whiskey’s tone was clearly that of shock. No way the food could just be free!
“Please, I can’t wait for some of that meat.“ Whiskey exclaimed in hopes to move on from such a subject. Even if the meat was “bland”, considering the situation they were in, he didn’t mind one bit. Food was food.
“Those ‘beasts’ that pose as a women.” Whiskey elaborated while scooting closer to the fire, clearly a little cold.
“I was young, and didn’t see much, but I do remember seeing the chaos and catastrophe...” Whiskey explains with a blank expression.
“Some fried too, please, if you don’t mind.” He adds, appearing as though he might start drooling any second now.
“I was adopted into it, apparently. The village I was born was attacked by those monsters, and the Order sent soldiers in to defend it. Unfortunately my parents were...” Whiskey falls silent for a moment, hoping that Mek understood what he was trying to imply. “The Order took me in and I dedicated myself to the Chief Goddess ever since.”
“Anything I want? Well... Can I request a burger?” Whiskey asks with a raised brow. Usually there was a set menu, but to hear ‘anything he wanted’? No wonder everyone loved meal time!
“The Chief Goddess will be watching over us.” Whiskey announces, hoping they wouldn’t cross paths with any dangerous animals after the rainfall ends.
Eventually Whiskey finished, a bright smile on his face as he turned toward Mek. “I was thanking her for the shelter.” He explains before taking a seat near the fire.
“Oh man, if only. But I’ll take a nice, solid roof over my head. Better than being out there.” He said with a soft chuckle before turning away for a moment. If Mek had a keen eye, he might notice Whiskey... Praying? It was hard to tell since he was turned away.
Whiskey would be eyeing the sky, as if waiting for the rain to start dropping. A sort of smugness could be seen on his face, clearly happy to have found the cave. What remained inside was his fear... “I’m looking forward to eating already. It’s quite cozy afterall, surpringly.” He explains with a few small nods.
“Oh- Er, it’s nice to meet you, Josepth.” Whiskey greeted, taken a little off guard by the sudden introduction. There was a kind smile on his face as he waited for a response.
“A lucky break.” Whiskey says as a passing comment before placing what little he had onto the ground. He then started gathering suitable rocks for their fire.. Since Mek was getting the sticks, Whiskey could at least form a basic circle of rocks for the fire.
“Now that you mention it, I am kinda hungry...” He says, as if hinting to Mek that breakfast should be the next place to go. ”I hope he doesn’t charge too much for the food!” He exclaims with a small chuckle; following Mek into the hallway.
“Yeah! Look at it! I don’t even think it’s occupied!” Whiskey announced whilst carefully investigating the cave. With no signs of other inhabitants, they could call it their home - at least for the night.
“Michelin star chef? Holy! That’s quite the title.” He states with an impressed look, already looking forward to meeting Josepth. “Boy do I need assistance in cooking...” He says with a small chuckle.
