Encyclopedia Entry:
A plant-type race that is mostly found in deep in forests and jungles. They emit a sweet smell that attracts passing men. Those that approach are trapped and raped so that their semen can be absorbed as food.
An alraune’s saliva and sexual fluids are called “Alraune Nectar” and contain a powerful aphrodisiac. Captured men are force-fed the nectar via mouth-to-mouth. The liquid is prized by other monsters, and alraune intermittently come under attack from honeybees and others seeking the nectar.
An alraune’s flower has enough space to admit a single human. While most men will simply be used to the point of exhaustion and then discarded, sometimes an alraune will desire a more permanent bond with an especially desirable man. If so, while they are joined at the hip, the petals will close around them. This act is ironically called “taming the alraune”, and once the flower closes, there is no way for the man to escape or even to withdraw his genitals. Sustained by the alraune’s nectar, he will spend the rest of his life in service to his new wife.
