Well i'm glad you gave me some closure on the subject, i honestly thought you werent coming back otherwise i wouldnt have changed anything and had i known you had a life(unlike me) i could have waited longer. But anyway i take full responsibility; since im not much of an RP'er at all and i have a poor etiquette for strangers...
Whether or not this matters to you, i dont know, but i just wanted to say im sorry.
He's at least strong enough to be carrying his equipment around all day without tiring, though he's kinda cheating since his muscles aren't involved. Like his character sheet mentions (or does it? I don't remember if I kept it up to date), he has a cybernetic skeleton that gives him enhanced strength, speed and agility, though that got lessened when he received a shower of malfunction power from a Gremlin some time ago. He used to be able to run at up to 80 km/h (a little under 50 mph) and lift 500 kg (a over 1 100 lbs), but now he's at the point where he's just a normal human being with his heavy equipment on. His bones are still hard af, though. That didn't change.
As for his powers, his nervous system, ears and right eye are also artificial, which gave him enhanced senses (touch included), but post-Gremlin, he's now half blind from an eye without his goggles and he's numb to sensation, hence the lack of reaction to crashing through a roof, cutting his hand and Brianna's beating, but his hearing got out unscathed.
Aside from that, there's the lightning powers he gets through Tesla, which I won't be detailing here for the sake of time, but there's nothing to fear OPness-wise.
Alex: Don't worry, I won't be wiping out armies anytime soon.
Alex: Where do the other two holes come from? I crashed through the roof then the attic's floor, so that makes two, but everything wood got blown to shards, leaving only the cloth the wings were made of and the metal intact, and the only metal on the plane was the landing gears, which didn't make it over the wall, and the propeller that destroyed a chimney further down the street, so what could have made the two other holes?
AlphaTheHD wrote: (Edit: Alpha: Oh! And before I forget, since he's been reading the World Guides recently, he had to do a whole bunch of retconing for the pair to align more with the setting.)
One of said retcons is that, since pure spirits are powered by the elements in their surrounding rather than generating them, PlaceHolder no longer serves as Alex's power source. Instead, without his Dyson Generator, his auxiliary computing unit automatically put him in power saving mode, which is why he can no longer physically perform or freely use his technological devices like he used to and is now relying on the vast amount of energy left in his battery for sustenance, and it is said vast amount of energy that powers PlaceHolder. HOWEVER, as vast as it may be, it is also depleting fast since his functions consume much more energy than a normal person's.
As a consequence of this, the second retcon has to do with Overdrive. Instead of simply supercharging Alex with electricity, PlaceHolder now circumvents the power saving mode by invigorating the electricity within Alex's battery so that he doesn't add more electricity to the system, but rather increases the power of the one that's already there. But much like an overdrive in real life, Alex's cybernetics are not meant to function on this "super electricity", so it damages them overtime. So basically, while Overdrive remains practically unchanged, the mechanism behind it is different.
Alpha: That bald man with a yellow outfit, a white cape and red gloves that I was fighting when you butted in and ruined everything.
Omega: Oh, yeah! You mean Egg Head!
Alpha: Yes, him. What do you think?
Omega: Egg Head.
Omega: "Egg Head" is what I think of him.
Alpha: You're not even making any sense.
Omega: Have you ever tried fighting an egg?
Alpha: What is this kind of question? Of course, I haven't!
Omega: And why's that?
Alpha: Because eggs don't move.
Omega: No, it's because eggs are too frail. They break at the slightest pressure and represent no challenge whatsoever. Now imagine that one day, you hear of an egg hard as steel and heavy as a truck.
Alpha: This is getting weirder and weirder...
Omega: Curious about it and with sky high expectations, you travel around the whole world searching of that egg and when you finally find and test it, you realize it was just a normal egg that's five grams heavier than average.
Alpha: Can you just cut to the chase?
Omega: Egg Head is that egg.
Alpha: Oh... You could have just skipped the whole analogy and said that he disappointed you.
Omega: "Disappointed"?! "Disappointed" is a HUGE understatement! He could have at least withstood a single hit, but no! Just like every other eggs, it only took a little shock for his shell to crack! He was just another Undersayan (Goku) or Man of Straw (Superman). People keep saying "They are the strongest! No one can beat them! They are so awesome!" and blah blah blah, but when I try and challenge them, it takes nothing more than a breeze to kill them! You know what I call that? It's false advertising! I should be refunded the time I lost with them.
