It's been three years, but I've finally found the courage to begin again. I hope that, even if I've become little more than a cautionary tale, I can come back to at least one person who may or may not have missed me in some way.
In any case, I hope time has been kind to you. Safe flying, friend.
You're, uhh...the guy...in your second form, your pfp was a scientist thingy...um...did something bad, I think...came back after that...I think you were pretty good in your second form? But then you left, apparently. So, uh...welcome back!
That is indeed me. I'm so glad to be back and I hope maybe this time things can be different. I'll be posting those same stories I worked on, though admittedly in a form more fitting for an actual story, rather than an unusually long WWYD response. I'd be chuffed to know how far I've come in these years and what I could work on, so give them a read once they pop up if you feel inclined!
Let's see. Each Rauser has the general durability to ram through a few mundane fighter planes, the Melee fuselage and Nuke fuselage being able to negate impact damage taken and increase impact taken, respectively, so a single laser beam could be survived. The ability to repair mid-flight (when firing is stopped/possible; it is impossible to reload when the Cannon weapon is reloading) is also present in all, the Bomb fuselage having a slower regen rate. The agility is variable, with extremes of either jet-like speed or staggering slowness.
On the side of the Neuroi, we have...regenerative abilities (non-drone types), armor on par with composite ceramic armour, beam weaponry and ballistic weaponry, along with the trademark miasma. In addition, there are an extremely wide variety of types of Neuroi.
However, my analysis says that any Rauser, with a strong pilot, may be capable of destroying up to medium-type Neuroi air units, with Large and above requiring either specialised combinations or multiple Rausers. For example, the Melee body may be able to pierce fully through the hull and internals of a Large-type, a technique already used on Blimps. The Laser weapon might rival the Neuroi's beam attacks in regards to damage, if not distance, as it can be sustained. The Nuke body may provide a simple way to destroy a Hive's core, even a Super-heavy's core, if access to the core is achieved. The Underwater engine (or simply the Luftrausers submarine carriers) may prove to be effective at ambushes from the ocean, instead of largely visible carriers.
In short, Rausers could combat Neuroi effectively; their only weak point would be the relative inagility of a Rauser compared to a Strike Witch. Rausers must turn around wholly to fire upon an enemy, while the Strike Witches are capable of aiming.
Good to know. How's the rauser when it come to adaptations, especially with high end advanced technology or SW WWII tech, in not ideal circumstances, very shirt on resources. And the space/aerospace question again, can rhe rauser go to space?
I have an idea for an RP, where my Aro persona can't directly interfere, thuss recruiting you along with one of my Horvat characters and maybe someone else if they're interested.
In terms of adaptations, I guess the Rauser could be modified to use those technologies. As for non-ideal circumstances, some weapons, fuselage systems and engines may be able to compensate. As for resources, my headcanon in the original Luftrausers game is that the scrap from downed enemies is somehow converted into parts, because anything else would be costly and require shipping over large distances (or rewritings of reality/different timelines where one Rauser is launched instead of another).
AS FOR SPACE:
No, not really. The boundaries of the Rauser are defined in-game by a blanketing cloud, which damages and repels the Rauser when attempting to go past it (referred to in-game as "top cloud damage"). The Rauser is an atmospheric-only fighter.
That's actually pretty good to work with. downed rausers could be salvaged and all parts in good condition taken down with the rest smelted or 'recycled' to made parts (that would need a facility or a plant, a workshop at the very least).
The other thing is how do you wish to go about it. I wouldn't won't to mess with your character or timeline. The first time my characters crosses into SW world around 10 maybe few more years. IDK if that can work for you, like a RP set in the past.
A new expedition, which is not a problem per se. The thing is, I don't want to overwhelm the Neuroi in a single afternoon, which would happen if I used the whole of Emmerian war resources, Andrej's big ass spaceship or Aro/Arael himself (or any of the combinations).
I thought about being sent in in a haste, underequipped until later, in the climax of the story or straight up stranded/shifted reality by a mishap, malfunction or a mischievous cosmic entity, at least for my characters, as to balance out things. I don't want to hinder you too much by cutting you from your Urauser. The thing is I still don't know how many rausers are housed in the Trieste, how many pilots there are at any given moment, how many fighters it can launch at once or how much of a threat it is to Neuroi or vice versa.
Once we set these intital issues straight and working for both of us, from there we're good to go anytime at any given moment.
Well, I see two pathways. One, an alternate timeline where TJK and the Urauser is sent to the SW world instead of the MGE one. Two, the first trans-dimensional accident happens again. Maybe the Neuroi manage to break into the MGE world, they replicate the accident with their beam weaponry...TJK would certainly have a case to fight them.
And as for Rausers, pilots, and such, in-game there is only ever one Rauser present. The notable exception to this is when the devs decided to launch 100 at once, but that won't be possible. As for pilots, well, as it is, the Urauser is a bit of a ghost submarine. The only crew is TJK, his elemental, and an onboard AI. So really only one, who comes back two hours after he is killed (either that or he teleports back to the submarine when a Rauser is destroyed, seeing as they are basically suicide aircraft). Maybe the second accident could damage the Urauser's systems, extending the wait.
I could imagine a scene where the Urauser ends up in the SW world, sustaining massive damage that can't be fixed by the self-repair technology, and TJK agreeing to team up with the SWs to help destroy the Neuroi, or at the very least make them go away for a hundred years.
Well, I figured I wouldn't enter during the bar scene, since TJK doesn't have a reason to be in Oz. And I figured the needlewood forest was also in Oz, so I was gonna show up when they lug the wood back to the build site.
Hoo.... alrighty. I just gotta wait till Repter gets his groove on.. right now Anicca done overdid her cut and might have deforrested half a forest. XD Anywho, LOL, good to have you onboard once you jump in. I'm interested on how TJK would interact with me characters.
Basically two dragons have awoken after an ancient slumber and have monsterized
These two Dragons come from the time of the shrade empire, and basically one wants revenge on the Wyvarians for the attrocities they commited against her kind while the other wants to forgive the Wyvarians and rekindle their old friendship with the Dragons
THen the conflict begins, and i'll let you decide the rest
A Dahaka that ruthlessly descends upon some Wyvarian town or ville, spewing fire or whatever an omnicidal three-headed dragon of destruction would spew, then the Zin shows up in the nick of time to gallantly save it?
Thing is i'm heavily opposed to making it public, i'd really really like to have it planned ahead and a public RP is just... like it can easily be ruined or thrown off balance quickly, a planned private RP with people that have been invited to it would be far more manageble.
As for the title you are the GM Janadian, you deicide

Seems more like a Valk play, but I could work it.
THey're still from the time of the shrade empire, it's just not Dragons and Wyvarians forgiving eachother as a whole
Very well! Private RP, titled "The Argument For and Against". Give me a list of names, I'll shoot them a link to the thread immediately after I create it. You two are surely on the list. I'd appreciate it if you'd recommend a few people, surely.
I am aware of this. I am also aware that I haven't finished The Pilot's Companion: Part 2, and that I've barely written the beginning of The Raping Games, according to my protagony outline. I rarely respond to WWYDs, and on a whole, I'm a lot less productive than I've ever been.
But, I'll try. I'll try to cash in my Custom Model on the Mechanoid Beast Workshop, get TPC2 done, make good on my promise to Spazerz.
