  • It's been three years, but I've finally found the courage to begin again. I hope that, even if I've become little more than a cautionary tale, I can come back to at least one person who may or may not have missed me in some way.

    • That is indeed me. I'm so glad to be back and I hope maybe this time things can be different. I'll be posting those same stories I worked on, though admittedly in a form more fitting for an actual story, rather than an unusually long WWYD response. I'd be chuffed to know how far I've come in these years and what I could work on, so give them a read once they pop up if you feel inclined!

  • I wanted to know how would your Rausers fare against the Neuroi from the Strike Witches series? Does any of the models enable spaceflight, even if barely skimming outside of our atmosphere?

    • That's actually pretty good to work with. downed rausers could be salvaged and all parts in good condition taken down with the rest smelted or 'recycled' to made parts (that would need a facility or a plant, a workshop at the very least). 

      The other thing is how do you wish to go about it. I wouldn't won't to mess with your character or timeline. The first time my characters crosses into SW world around 10 maybe few more years. IDK if that can work for you, like a RP set in the past.

      A new expedition, which is not a problem per se. The thing is, I don't want to overwhelm the Neuroi in a single afternoon, which would happen if I used the whole of Emmerian war resources, Andrej's big ass spaceship or Aro/Arael himself (or any of the combinations). 

      I thought about being sent in in a haste, underequipped until later, in the climax of the story or straight up stranded/shifted reality by a mishap, malfunction or a mischievous cosmic entity, at least for my characters, as to balance out things. I don't want to hinder you too much by cutting you from your Urauser. The thing is I still don't know how many rausers are housed in the Trieste, how many pilots there are at any given moment, how many fighters it can launch at once or how much of a threat it is to Neuroi or vice versa.

      Once we set these intital issues straight and working for both of us, from there we're good to go anytime at any given moment.

    • Well, I see two pathways. One, an alternate timeline where TJK and the Urauser is sent to the SW world instead of the MGE one. Two, the first trans-dimensional accident happens again. Maybe the Neuroi manage to break into the MGE world, they replicate the accident with their beam weaponry...TJK would certainly have a case to fight them.

      And as for Rausers, pilots, and such, in-game there is only ever one Rauser present. The notable exception to this is when the devs decided to launch 100 at once, but that won't be possible. As for pilots, well, as it is, the Urauser is a bit of a ghost submarine. The only crew is TJK, his elemental, and an onboard AI. So really only one, who comes back two hours after he is killed (either that or he teleports back to the submarine when a Rauser is destroyed, seeing as they are basically suicide aircraft). Maybe the second accident could damage the Urauser's systems, extending the wait.

      I could imagine a scene where the Urauser ends up in the SW world, sustaining massive damage that can't be fixed by the self-repair technology, and TJK agreeing to team up with the SWs to help destroy the Neuroi, or at the very least make them go away for a hundred years.

    • I am aware of this. I am also aware that I haven't finished The Pilot's Companion: Part 2, and that I've barely written the beginning of The Raping Games, according to my protagony outline. I rarely respond to WWYDs, and on a whole, I'm a lot less productive than I've ever been.

      But, I'll try. I'll try to cash in my Custom Model on the Mechanoid Beast Workshop, get TPC2 done, make good on my promise to Spazerz. 

      And I might as well get started now.
