Ugh that is the last time I let Vels talk me into going to a nicer upscale restaurant!
-Oh come on Hon the food was wonderful and the decor was absolutely splendid!-
Be that as it may it was in a Zero Gravity Environment and they ran out of Bibs halfway through service! (Sigh) But I admit it was nice to get out of the castle for a change.
Now then where was I? Oh yes ways in which Mamono can extend their lifespans. We should start with Canon material first.
1 The most well-known method is Mermaid Blood which when ingested rejuvenates and fortifies the body adding to stamina and endurance as well as overall age. (Several years I would assume twenty or so with one dose.) Only a small amount needs to be ingested though you would need constant refills (every few weeks) to maintain long lasting effects.
2 The Unicorn, (Please note this is a personal theory) the Profiles states:
There is powerful demonic energy contained in a unicorn’s horn and because of it, they can use powerful healing spells. This healing power grows more potent the purer their “unicorn energy” is.
This would lead me to believe that the Unicorn's healing spells would extend the youth of her Husband by having intercourse with him and purifying his body and removing any illness or deterioration. His lifespan would then become linked to hers in a constant cycle.
Some scientists have touted a theory wherein our genes have a built in 'age code' to allow us to age. Because we need to age in order to reach physical maturity aging is actually beneficial and the code serves a purpose. They go on to speculate that once we reach our peak age of physical maturity, for the sake of argument let's say the number is twenty five. When we reach twenty five the code is supposed to switch off. But because it has been working constantly for twenty five years the code has become corrupted and does not switch off in fact it continues onward. Which leads to old age and eventually death.
I would assume the Unicorn's Healing Magic would counteract and even halt this code on some level. (If the theory is true, it is still in development) Perhaps with enough exposure the Husband's physical age may reduce back to the point where he was at his peak. (But mentally he would still be however old he was.) This more youthful ‘energy’ that he releases during ‘climax’ would in turn be reabsorbed by the Unicorn’s body and work in extending her own youth. In theory they would be functionally Immortal. But they are both pieces of a whole, without the other the cycle would be broken, then their lifespans would be reduced to normal years.
3 Moving on to Undead Mamono, Vampires are the best example of this phenomenon. (But it works with all other Undead as well.) Vampirism in modern novel, movies, and whatnot is usually explained to be the result of a Viral Mutation or Invasive Bacterium. The fun thing about Viruses and Bacteria is that it is constantly changing, adapting, and evolving to better fit its environment. If we factor in how regular Vampires are at the very least able to live for centuries then it would be easy to assume that Magically aided ones could live forever thanks to the constant adaptation of the Virus within their cells. The same process would hold true for all other Undead Mamono.
4 Harems, since a Husband shares the life force of his wife and she partakes of his energy, the more wives you have the more sharing that goes around. In this way all the members of the Harem share each other’s energy and extend their lives.
5 This one just has to be mentioned. There are no doubt potions and spells which on some level may extend your life but I would be wary of their affects. Magic always comes with a price.
Well I hope this answers your questions sufficiently Marius.
If you are inquiring as to the scope of my own 'arsenal' as you said I am afeared that I must disappoint you.
The only physical weapon I carry is Galadhrim she isa specially designed left handed long sword named for the tree dwelling Elves of Middle Earth who crafted her. She was crafted for me as a gift and is the only blade which can channel my Temporal Energies as a Sorcerer.
Beyond that I have my Sonic Screwdriver, a multi-purpose tool similar in many regards to an advanced swiss army knife.
So physical weapons on my person at any given time are sparse, I try to live by the philosophy that if folks see you mean them no harm, they won't attack you...nine times out of ten at least.
I rely more on my abilities in Temporal Nexus Manipulation if push comes to shove. But I would be hard pressed to reveal the height of my abilities unless under attack and even then I prefer peaceful solutions.
those weapons are ridiculously op on purpose it makes sense for a guy like me who whenever enters in a verse he is either the omnicidal maniac or someone who can be a niceguy yet still a hardcore sore loser.
I have lived for countless millennia protecting the defenseless, in no small part due to the fact that I remain nothing more than a named shadow of terror. A foreboding whisper in the minds of those that would seek to harm the innocent. I am the caliginosity of rage, eternal, and unrelenting.
I know what evil lurks in the hearts of men, and I shall gorge myself on the fine banquet of their damnable Pneuma.
well Weary i am neither Good nor Evil nowdays i was the evil incarnte in human form in the past i killed Heroes Angels Gods Demons and many many more entities regardless if they were good neutral or evil for both sport and to gain power by absorbing their life force and souls.
i have one question how would the Chief god and Demon Lord develop a vaccine in time before everyone is wiped out? if there is a virus that spreads like Wuhan corona virus at the speed of measles and has the mortality rate of Rabies can evolve plague inc style and it's immune to all types of supernatural powers regardless of how strong they are and it's not affected by what the Author can do with the story meaning that KC can't do anything to solve the Super Virus.
Hmm that is certainly not where I thought this was going but alright.
We will start with the basics, modern vaccines are developed in labratories. Scientists will take an inert and weakened starin of a virus or bacterium, one that can not replicate, and reverse engineer the strain to be weaker than its predecessor.
After this a number of tests are performed on the weaker concoction. The agent (being either a virus or bacterium) is bound and suspended inside a solution (usually liquid to better infuse with blood) If the tests are pasted then trails to test the efficacy of the solution will commence.
If the solution produces the results the scientists want (a vaccine, cure, or drug) than it is usually mass produced to stop the spread of the virus.
In the case of a magic resistant strain of bacterium new magic would rise to meet the onslaught as is done with vaccination. (When a virus adapts to a current vaccine we create a newer far more powerful one to destroy the virus.) I believe it would be the same for a magic resistant virus if one type of magic ceased to work in eradicating the virus then new forms would be created.
This may mean that the Order and the chief god would be forced to ally themselves with Lilith and the Demon Army. No doubt the Medical Sabbath and the M.A.M.CO (if it were my Universe) would be hard at work to develop a working vaccine to eliminate the virus.
Now to jump to reality for a moment the Wuhan Coronavirus is simply a mutation of an already existing viral agent. The first recorded Coronavirus was observed in the nineteen sixties. The newest variant is simply the virus changing and adapting to become more efficient, that is what viruses do.
My advice is wash your hands regularly. (After every meal, touching food, and all that, stay away from sick folks or people you think might be sick, and generally just behave as you would during 'Flu Season'.)
actually they wouln'd stand a chance unless they move quickly because the Super virus is also genetically engineered which is why it's so dangerous it's not simply resistant to one type of magic it's immune to every power in fiction Period if you want to defeat it use real life means but even then i give at most 2% chance of survival to MGE due to the fact that it's mostly medieval setting.
it's early stage symptoms include permanent Superpower Loss which means that they lose all their superpowers regardless of how powerful they are unless they are actual omnipotent severe Coughing Sneezing very high Fever Extreme Headache Extreme Muscle Ache Very Severe Chest Pain Extreme Tiredness Jaundice.
Late Stage Symptoms Bleeding from eyes nose Mouth Hematemesis severe hemoptysis hematochezia Extreme external hemmorhagic you start to bleed as if someone cut all of your veins at once.
It's incubation period it's around 28 days.
Transmissions it can be spread through Breathing Body liquids Air Water Food Droplets Close Contact Enviromental transmission interdimensional travel and insects.
Abillities Immunity as in Flawless Indestructibillity to Cold and Hot.
Rate of spreading at least 18 it's unknown because it spreads before the symptoms appear.
If someone asks me why this virus is so overpowered is a specially made bioweapon and because i wanted to create a vaccine for viruses as dangerous as this.
do not forget while you are a physicist i am a virologist and a bioweapons creator and i know that this is the ultimate bioweapon and i am the only guy who has the blueprints of the virus since it was created in my lab by me a female nephilim with purple hair and a purple skined lamia with white hair who i work with.
and if someone wants to defeat the virus they will need my help cause only i alongside my scientist team can develop a vaccine in time.
luckly the bioweapon is sealed in a ultra advanced biosafety level 5 which deals with extraterestrial infections of any kind including bioweapons and i am one of the only 12 individuals to work in such dangerous conditions since it renders your superpowers useless and i have forgot to mention that alongside hemmorhagic symptoms.
you also experience acute respiratory distress in late stage if you are infected that's why we have a specialy designed ultra advanced biosuits that can be cleaned and rewashed.
and a side note if the bioweapon is unleashed in any world everyone dies angels demons gods if this bioweapon is activated eventually it will evolve and kill us slowly and painfully luckly it has a 28 days long incubation since i have a very advanced mind and the blueprints i can make a cure in just 3 weeks despite it's extreme complexity.
if someone asks me if i am a edgelord the answer is no i just make apocalyptic scenarios involving viruses because the psychological response is fascinating.
Well that depends, usually upon the genre. Strictly speaking I find characters that have a few glaring faults and damages are more realistic and easier to empathize with, as opposed to the 'Perfect Hero' who has no issues.
It would help to know precisely what this is for in order to narrow my response, otherwise I could prattle on for days.
Hmm, well at least you have good taste in ladies my friend, namely the Lilim, Banshee, and Cupid.
Say I was wondering if you could possibly do me a favor?
I am at a point in my novel where Vellantha is going through Nicholas' records onboard his TARDIS and she comes across data recordings detailing each of his past Regenerations, and why they happened. (How he dies) Right now Nick is on his fifteenth body with a sixteenth close at hand.
Having to come up with sixteen different and unique ways to have a character die is really exhausting on the imagination. I was hoping that you, what with your rather twisted slant, might have some inventive scenarios in which he could perish heroically?
Currently I have come up with tweleve scenarios (not including his upcoming Regeneration, though I do have that one written as well. So thirteen technically.) That leaves me with three blank Incarnations to fill in.
Do you think you could come up with three, or more (more is always welcome) scenarios which would cause Regeneration?
That would be an enormous help.
Think it over and let me know if you are interested.
thx and besides my Lilim Banshee and Cupid come from a vastly different MGE world that was conquered by 3 succubi and one human they are not mamonos they have head wings rather than horns which is why all the monster girls in that world are yanderes and my Lilim has head wings rather than horns.
yup it's based on Morrigan Aensland the head wing design and most of the mamonos in the universe where my wives come from are turned into yanderes have the full bloodlust you see in those types of yandere they look like mamonos but they are not truly mamono they are not as pacifistic as their canonic counterpart due to the fact that in the MGE multiverse i reside in heaven is destroyed all the Gods are Killed By Me including.
the original Chief God i am not known as the Demon Lord i am known as the Harbinger of darkness if someone asks what is the fate of the demon lord in our multiverse the answer is that she got assassinated by the Lilim called Yuno who is the Lilim wife.
if you want to know about Demonia please look at my profile and if someone asks me which Marius i am i am the 6th there are many counterparts of mine that do engage in interdimensional conquests.
I'm doing well enough, though the rains have set in again so that puts always dampner on life. (Then again it always rains here so, take that as you will eh?) Hopefully weather conditions are a tad more clement where you are.
I read several of the entries on your profile including one titled 'Republic of Iron Fields' and its accompanying 'Places of Interest' as well as a journal on the local Mamono which reside there. All rather interesting I must say, if a bit sparse.
Unfortunately I could not find any articles relating to 'Demonia' specifically. Perhaps I overlooked it, (At my age one tends to overlook things from time to time.) If you could point me in its general vicinity that would be appreciated.
I read over the entry on Demonia, quite intriguing really. I see you've woven your love of the macabre into the lore. A fitting touch I suppose for a realm which is twice the mass and size of Jupiter with 1.0x104 the gravity of a normal 'Goldilocks Type Planet' or CHZ.
And I know I've said before that I want to live someplace a tad dry but over 70C is not what I was talking about! Yeesh.
that twice as big as Jupiter is about radius if we mention the mass it's about 4 solar masses someone asks me what kind of star does Demonia orbit actually the star it's a blue LBV which stands for Luminous Blue variable that is over 30 billion times brighter than the sun the mass is a staggering 530000 times the mass of the Sun.
which means that it's far bigger and shinier than any real life star but since the Demonian star system it's not natural it's made via very very strong magic means that they will remain the same forever.
I like the design very antique and grim. I actually inherited a Templar sword from my family. This isn't the actual sword it's in storage right now. But I found a picture that's fairly close.
When we inherited these, we were allowed to take one and it was either the sword or the record player and my sister wanted the record player. Same thing for the record player, by the way. Not the actual one but it gives you an idea.
I actually have Nicholas use a similar style of sword in the story since I'm most familiar with the type. But instead of a Templar Cross it has Elvish and Gallifreyan etchings. He also has a record player like the one pictured in his TARDIS, which was a gift from Edison.
well i have released info about the Green Cerberus the most elite force in Demonia they seem to be a mix of Delta Force aka Combat Applications Group DEVGRU aka seal team 6 Secret Service's Counter Assault teams and CIA's SAD/SAC.
Right now though the United Mamono Coalition has order me , along with some of the forces of Rathengalia, (Since we head up the planetary defensive forces) to prepare for an offensive in the Pantarlian Star System.
An Order Maurader attacked one of our planetary settlements along the border. So I'm in the process of getting the UMS Saberhagen and the UMS Gibson ready to be be deployed to check out the disturbance.
Frankly I won't speculate on such things since in my novel Mamono are Immortal and looking up ages and death or other such research would bring me out of my narrative structure.
It's odd I know but I'm compelled to use Canon Sources for my story as much as posssible but age and death is where I break with the lore. And if I read anything on age limits it'll just get stuck in my head and mess with my creation so I don't even want to think about that. (That's an issue with my OCD I'll get so focused on that and not think about anything else. So I don't even want to look at that.)
Sorry if this was not the answer you were looking for but I'm not really working within those confines.
Mm it certainly has it's drawbacks. I actually work with multiple folks who have ADD, ADHD, OCD, and many other disorders at my clinic. So I'm well versed in many conditions and disorders which can affect a person's mental health.
When folks see me walk in with my labcoat and my offset gait it works as a sort of icebreaker in getting the conversation started. They're always surprised to see a doctor with CP and then when they learn about my OCD on top of that. But it really establishes a rapport, folks are so much more alike than different after all.
We all have something worthwhile to contribute to society that's really what I try and stress to my patients.
I am well if a little haggard, we are working on preperations for Covid-19 at the clinic so I am quite busy. As such I will be on the site sporadically for the next few days, so it may be a while until I respond.
I hope you're fairing a bit better than I am and that the virus hasn't interrupted too much of your daily goings on. Stay safe out there.
well we already take severe measures such as nobody enters in in home we stay at home as much as possible because of COVID 19 in italy the situation it's so bad the medical system is overwhelmed everything is closed only grocery shops and pharmacies are open.
and even then we have to take safety measures such as never going unprotected respecting the 2 meters distance rule wearing n95 face masks and other measures.
Well I just talked with Sir Vengeance he said they have over four thousand confirmed cases in the United States and at least seventy dead. So the spread is certainly increasing, I also reached out to Aro since I haven't heard from him in over a month. Hopefully he is doing alright.
I am doing quite well, staying indoors now that they closed the clinic and sent us home. I had to rush around assuaging my relatives' fears over Covid-19, taking temperatures and such. (They seem to think I'm a G.P. even though I told them I'm not that kind of doctor.)
Hmm, I do hope you have a good number of pills stored up. I know that it's been hard for folks over here to get some of the medications they need due to rampant impulse buying of everything from baby wipes to Metformin.
well i live in the currently worst affected country in the world but at least the pharmacies and grocery shops are open but still certain rules must be respected well all i hope is that i alongside my family will survive the pandemic.
And Happy Hollidays ! Sorry if it's a little too late and it didn't occur to me earlier to do this, but better late than never I suppose. And as a small gift, here's a little something I want to share (I'm sure you will find it amusing):
I saw your reply, and I thank you for your thoughts on the Queen Bee's appearance. Since I'm going to try and draw her for my submission to the Fan Monsters Page. I agree that she would be bigger and regal looking, but I can see her being very sweet, being motherly and giving affection to her subjects. I can also see her having a group of "Handmaidens" who tend to her personally.
But this message isn't all honey and Bees, I'd actually like to get to know you.
What Monster is your favorite, like not for the bedroom but like in general. If you would play a Monster in a Dungeons and Dragons campaign or write a story with a monster, how would you go about doing it, what monster would you use and why?
Well my Waifu is a Lilim so I suppose that would be my favorite. I loved the design of the character and that mixed with their intellect, and the fact that their personalities vary widely really struck me as having quite a bit of possibilities.
I sadly don't play a monster in D&D (I'm a sorcerer) As for stories I'm in the process of writing one and I've actually published several chapters on Fanfic.net and Archive Of Our Own. It involves a Time Lord falling into the MGE Universe and then hopping across multiple Universes and Dimensions to try and fix the glaring fault in the Demon Lord's plan of them not being able to concieve male offspring.
I hope this helped and good luck on your Queen Bee, the folks on here are really helpful so don't be afraid to ask us question if you need help or suggestions.
Good morning, afternoon, and evening Weary TimeLord,
Lewdness aside in design, I'm a bit mixed in favorites, since they are very creative.
In the last campaign I played in, I was a Wood Elf Sorcerer, in the current campaign I'm in, I'm a Tiefling Bard. If you were going to play a monster in DND, what monster would you be?
You're story sounds very creative, and the lack of male monsters always comes to mind when I look through the wiki. While the universe is very female based, there is still the chance (Albeit rare) of a Monster boy being born in the world. Possibly a Mutation?
I've actually tried to find a complete list of Monster Boys Encyclopedia (Basically this wiki but genderbend), however I haven't had any luck.
Last night, I was able to sketch the Queen Bee, making her tall slender. I've been tossing around the idea of giving the Queen Bee another set of arms (All the better to Hug you with my dear ~) what do you think?
thank you for the help and feedback, I appreciate it.
Yes I would agree the Mamono designs showcase a plethora of interesting elements, so it's fairly hard to settle on just one.
If I did play as a Monster I would most likely play as a Changeling or a Shifter (I like to use the expanded books for my campaigns, gives them a little more variety.)
Thank you for the compliment, I really wanted to do something different for my novel and seeing as no one had combined Doctor Who and Monster Girl Encyclopedia I felt it had a great potential to tell a unique story.
Though my story won't include Monster Boys, they aren't really canonical to this setting, and frankly they aren't my cup of tea so to speak.
I do think that a Fan-Made Monster Boy Encyclopedia exists (at least in part) on Fanfic.net so you might give that a try.
An extra set of arms would certainly give your Queen Bee a distinguishing feature and add an extra layer to the character.
Thank you for the suggestion, I'll definitely check it out.
If I were going to be a Monster, I'd be a Mermaid.
The Queen Bee sketch is slowly progressing, I will add an extra set of arms to her. Regarding the personality and diet of a Queen Bee, I can see her being sweet and motherly, but also lavish and extravagant. I can see her being omnivorous, but she has expensive tastes, figuratively and literally. What are your thoughts?
Once again, thank you for your thoughts and help, I appreciate it.
Well the personalities listed on the Encyclopedia pages are made broadly by design so that folks can change the personalities for their characters as they see fit.
I would say take several aspects that you like and which fit together nicely and use fairly general terms and descriptions so that they are interchangeable. Your descriptions of sweet and motherly, but also lavish and extravagant, are vague enough that the reader can interpret things the way they want. So I think you are headed in the right direction.
Out of curiosity, have you created your own monster girl on here? If so, what are they like? I'd love to see your particular style of creativity.
Regarding the Queen Bee (I apologize if I repeat myself or if this bored you), but I was thinking when she had a King, he's kept in her royal chambers with her, and can only leave with her. I can see her feeding him a big spoonful of honey each day, as it helps increase testosterone, which means better eggs (Since a Queen Bee's job is to make more bees).
Continuing on the subject of honey, it's also an aphrodisiac. I think she'd use a special potion of honey and alraune nectar, as an aphrodisiac so she and her King have many sweet honeymoons. This powerful aphrodisiac being for the Queen's use ONLY.
I was also thinking that the Queen Bee bathes in royal jelly, which made by Queen Bees. When bathing, the handmaidens tend and wash their Queen, and will even enter the bath with her, though the royal jelly has no effect on the handmaidens.
I would assume of course the Queen Bee has a King. Though you mention that the Queen keeps her Husband with her at all times. You could work that into the personality as well from over protective (sweet) to insanely jealous (extravagant). And have her flip-flop between those two aspects in a somewhat royally entitled manner.
The Honey as an aphrodisiac is an intriguing thought and I could certainly see a Mamono who specializes in its production using it to enhance bedroom actvities, to put it lightly.
The Royal Jelly is interesting and as its name implies is only for the Queen and the larve in the Hive; so it would in all likelyhood be a commodity. But because it is only for the Queen and larve I'm not too sure the Handmaidens would be allowed in its vicinity let alone to bathe in it. Perhaps the Queen makes the exception only for her Husband and they can enjoy the baths together?
Well I hope these suggestions are useful. Oh and please don't worry about asking too many questions. I can attest that I have quite literally asked hundreds of questions in regards to my novel, and its characters and themes.
The Queen Bee has a King, when the workers being her a suitable human male. I could definitely see her being entitled to him, and I'll do my best to explain that in the description.
The thing with the handmaidens, as I see it, is that they entertain the Queen, and keep her in a pleasant mood. They're above the workers, in that they solely tend to the Queen. Whatever the Queen asks of them, they'll do, even joining her in a royal jelly bath to wash and "Entertain" her. I mentioned her being motherly and affectionate, she will pet and kiss her handmaidens and praise them for their food work. But I see your point in only having the King in the royal jelly bath with her. Handmaidens would be able to take part in nectar and honey baths though.
I feel like Handmaidens would get some special privileges, as they are up close and personal with the Queen. What do you think?
When a King enters the Hive though, I feel the Queen Bee will only pet her handmaidens, as now all her kisses and affection are for her husband.
The Queen be sketch is slowly progressing, the second set of arms have been drawn and she's looking good so far. I made her abdomen longer, like on a real Queen Bee, and I'm still working on how to draw the wings in a regal manner.
Apologies for my late relpy, I was off in the Triangulum Galaxy fighting an invasion fleet of Cyber-Ships that were attacking and converting settlers along the Andaros border planets in 53207 A.D. A rather grim and nasty business.
It does make sense that the Handmaidens would entertain the Queen so as to keep her amicable until she procures a Husband. Of course the majority of the Haidmaidens' duties would then shift to the Husband as they are seen as the most important person to a Mamono.
Though I assume the Handmaidens would still assist in daily activities; they may even have a greater status than the average worker within the Hive, able to have the choice of males after the Queen or being given the best honey as gifts.
I'm glad to hear the artwork is progressing, as for making the wings 'Regal' what if the wings formed a flowing Victorian style Ballgown which indicates the Queen's status and power?
Its okay, I understand, stuff happens. You're adventure sounds very interesting. The handmaidens would help with the daily activities. I actually thought about the handmaidens getting the first pick of other males who didn't meet the Queen's standards. (Maybe males chosen by the other news inn the Hive become drones? That's an interesting theory).
Thank you for the suggestion on designing the wings, I'm currently adjusting the art a bit, since I'm drawing this by hand (Hopefully my tablet can take a decent picture so you can see the final results in the Fan Monster Girl page.
Speaking of husbands and Kings, I actually thought about the baby bees. When the eggs are laid, I think the handmaidens would take them to a nursery chamber, where they are given proper treatment and warmth until they're ready to hatch. I can see the Queen Bee having their motherly nature and love kicked in when the children hatch and she showers them in affection as well as the King who helped bring them into the hive. What do you think?
speaking of which, the page should probably explain how a hive gets a Queen Bee.
Don't fret about adjusting the art, I understand wanting to make sure everything is just so when working on a project like this.
Does it say eggs on the Honey Bee page? Hmm, I guess you learn something new every day I always assumed they started in a larval stage...But nevermind me I've side tracked myself.
I really like the idea of the Queen Bee being really hands on and involved with the children; that would be a great way to showcase her loving nature.
This doesn't happen with Bees persay but in some animal heirarchies where several mothers care for all the young (wolf packs, lion prides that sort of thing). Maybe the Queen's sweet motherly nature could extend in some way to all the young?
I'll give the idea on how a Hive gets a Queen some thought and get back to you with a few ideas.
Indeed, one should be thankful for the little things in life.
In real life, Honey Bees are born from the eggs a Queen lays.
I can definitely see the Queen Bee spoiling her newly hatched children rotten, much like how she does her husband, and as the children get older, they learn about how the Hive works and apprentice under the workers, soldiers, etc. That way when they're grown, they can contribute to the hive.
In the real world, a potential Queen Bee has a special cradle made for her, called the Queen Cup. Perhaps this might contribute to a Queen Bee?
I can see a Queen Bee giving kisses on the foreheads to her children and subjects, as well as making sure all of her subjects and children are eating well. (She won't think twice about packing a lunch for all the workers) would this be extending her motherly nature?
The Queen Bee would definitely spoil all the children in the Hive, and I like your idea of tthem apprenticing in order to learn how the Hive works.
The Queen Cup is another great idea, it could show not only how future Queens are cared for, but how important they are to the Hive.
The Queen Bee would of course pack lunches for the workers (Her Handmaidens might help with this since it's quite a lot for one person to do by themselves.) She would probably have a fairly strong connection to the children and the rest of the Hive for that matter seeing as she is in charge of the Hive's continued wellbeing.
Here's a thought: What about Holidays? Do they exist? And if so what do they involve?
I was thinking the Hive(s) might celebrate a festival that centers around Honey and its importance in their lives. (Similar to Harvest Festivals that are celebrated around the time of the main Harvest.)
The Weary TimeLord.
Don't worry I haven't forgot about this discussion I just wasn't online much yesterday. I ended up on a bit of a writing spree for a chapter of my novel that I've been stuck on for nearly a month. Needless to say suddenly having all new ideas again was exciting; and I really didn't want to stop writing for fear I would hit another wall.
I was wondering where you dashed off to, it's okay, I understand completely. I want to start writing again when I can.
Due to an incident involving a drunk badger and a paper shredder, the first sketch of the Queen Bee was lost. However, I was able to sketch, ink, and color a new picture of the Queen Bee. I think this one turned out much better. so once we finish setting up the info on the Queen Bee mamono, I'll work on my post in the Fan made monster girls.
A celebration/festival over Honey would be a possibility, I was thinking every time the Queen Bee lays a set of eggs and said eggs hatch, I think that would be another cause for celebration because it means the Hive shall continue.
Regarding the hatching and pampering of New Queen Bees, that got me thinking.
In real life, more than one larva are groomed to be potential Queens for the hive. Once they've reached adulthood, the Queen Bees fight to the death until one is left standing to be the Queen Bee of the Hive.
Since this is a heavily based fantasy realm, and since these hives are most likely massive, and the Queen Bee would not dream of hurting her children or subjects; I was thinking that when a new Queen Bee has matured under the personal teachings and pampering of her Mother, the Queen Bee will send her daughter out into the world with some workers, soldiers, handmaidens etc. So that she may rule a hive of her own, and find a King, so the cycle can continue.
What do you think?
Thanks again for the help, I appreciate it.
P.S. Maybe we could create more monsters together? I kind of like doing this with you.
Hmm, that incident sounds unfortunate and a tad outlandish...Then again I'm a 26,674 year old time travelling alien, my three best friends are a sentient time ship disguised as a Police Box, Vellantha a daughter of the Demon Lord, and a psychedelic Guru cat named Frank respectively so my whole life is the definition of outlandish. Eh who am I to judge?
Right, got side tracked there, I tend to do that. So let's see now, I like the idea of the whole Hive celebrating the birth of a new hatchling they would be a close nit community after all.
I had considered mentioning real life consequences as you noted above but felt it was a bit amiss to mention something so grisly. This is a fantasy/magic setting so unseemly ends are not well suited here. So I think your idea of having the new Queen be taught and then sent off with a convoy of Handmaidens and Workers to start her own Hive to be more appropriate to this world's setting.
I would be open to further collaboration, though I may be slow responding at times since I've finally got some much needed free time to work on my novel once more. I should also note that I'm more Celtic, Scottish, Druidic, and Wiccan based in my work.
If you want more Anglo European characters I would suggest Quantum Knights Vengeance he deals more with Arthurian Legends and medieval characters. He isn't online near as often but he's very amicable.
If you need any further help or ideas please let me know.
I believe I have all the information I need for the Queen Bee fan page that I'll make, and it's all thanks to your help, so thank you again, I really appreciate.
I read Greek, Egyptian, Norse, Celtic mythology, Grimm Fairytales (Plus fairytales in general), and some horror and mystery. So I'm versatile in the writing area. I have a book on mythologies around the world, so Anglo European characters won't be a problem.
I would very much like to do more monster girls with you, I was kind of thinking a Monster based off of baked goods? Like what happens when a baker's magic gets a wee bit out of control, or something like that.
With any luck, the Queen Bee shall be in the Fan Made Monster Girl page shortly.
Thank you for doing so. I realize I have quite a few put up there so thanks for taking the time.
Thank you for the offer by the way. If I have more questions (More likely when rather than if) I'll let you know. I only now really realized how many questions I've asked so far and hope it's not a bother.
