The woman suddenly took great interest as Edward stirred in his sleep. Was this the sign of someone waking up? She suddenly grew closer to him to examine every detail to the smallest thing. Facial movements, noise, everything.
Edward would open his eyes and stretch his back and arms whilst remaining sat where he was. Then, with a yawn, he noticed the woman rather close and looking him over. It caught him rather off guard, but he said nothing. Really, he did not want to question what she was doing.
Markus gave a smile. Weirdly, every day he's around Fifi he feels more and more like a father. Though, it was a nice feeling. It was some form of normality. "What are you going to get for breakfast?" He said as he started to get his things together.
Edward would then look at the others who were sleeping. It would strike him that he slept with a bunch of people he didn't know, plus one of the monsters.
Shaking his head, he'd go to grab something from his pack. Then it struck him again. He'd forgotten his bags, and the horse. Getting up, he'd look at the woman for a moment before starting to walk in the direction where had left his horse and bags.
Fifi rubbed her eyes. “The same.” She yawned a bit once more trying to wake up.
As Laurick entered the shop, there was a large figure getting ready. “Another one?...Great...” He seemed annoyed however he grabbed a piece of paper and handed it to the small creature. “Sigh on the lines, I found you can’t carry heavy crates then leave now.” He spoke.
As Edward began to walk, the woman followed behind. She was taking her deal litteraly it would seem.
A loud sigh left his mouth as he picked up his two packs, groaning at the weight. He'd then untie the horse, looking at the woman for a moment before starting to walk back to the camp. "Never seen a horse before?"
Rykerin was slow to wake, but wake he did mostly compliments of the sounds of activity in the camp. When he heard a growl, he was jolted to full alertness, a combat knife appearing in his hand. Upon seeing that there was no immediate danger he scowled, "Keep that thing in check will you!" Relaxing, and putting the knife away, he nodded to the Lizardman and to Edward.
Rykerin nodded to the Lizardman once more, "Safe Travels then." Turning his attention to the guy that had arrived with Edward last night, "As in sparring? Probably not the best idea as I'd hate to seriously wound you. There is also the dragon and wyverns to consider. I'd prefer to avoid attracting their attention."
“You? Sorry, I only challenge people who don’t have any powers...Wait...” She went into thought and smacked her forehead. “I forgot to duel that knight!...Jeeze...” She laughed a bit. “Oh well, plenty of people out there.”
"Hmm, it's a terrible thing. Really." Edward explains, cracking his neck. "I'm surprised that Lizardman didn't attempt to fight any of us." He'd think before checking his map. "At least I have her to keep me company," He'd start, "I mean, it's quite odd. Walking with a god, but, it's something." He finished his thought with a chuckle.
“Yep, back that way.” The Lizardman pointed in the opposite direction she was walking. “Follow the trail and take a right. Can’t miss the town.” She spoke giving a sigh. “No, and that’s final.” She spoke to Siris packing her gear and now walking away.
The woman nodded. “Many different stances on this. I will note this.” She commented.
Rykerin continued along the trail, noticing that he was now in a forested area. His stomach growled at him and he frowned, keeping an eye out for any fruits, or anything really, that looked familiar and were edible. Though he did have some small amount of food on his person.
(Abyss, you already have the three wives from the original that you didn't need to even lift a finger to get back. Just let the Lizardman go.)
(He doesn't want a full fight just an exhibition match with no winner a quick back and forth, spec I wanted to actually get a chance to fight her and I know you're making crap up just for them not to fight come on just an exhibition match?)
(Addiction: Don't worry about it.
Abyss: You're right, I don't know your living situation but i do know what you've posted since I originally made my join post.)
( Bruh I know what I typed, didn't get the chance to finish, also when your unsure about who is talking to who just ask first, now enough has been said onto the next thing )
(I can see what you typed and reacted accordingly, I was 100% sure you were talking to my character. You took it upon yourself to OOC correct me. NOW enough has been said.)
(Dude I see how you could make the mistake but their was nothing I could do to fill in what character he was talking to by the time I could, you'd already rightfully assumed what I ment so all I could do was give you a heads up on what was meant to be said,Why is this such a big deal for you?You read something that's incomplete, take it the wrong way and reply unknowingly of it's incompletion,I say what I ment to say you overreact and blame me over something Out of my control and your still mad over a minor inconvenience)
Edward stopped quickly, staring at Carol for a moment. It then occured to him that it was, indeed, the Golem from earlier. "Her again?" He though before looking at the woman for a moment. "Maybe I met... Maybe I met her in a past life?" He'd finish his thoughts and climb off the horse.
"Er, hey. You look like you lost something?" He'd call out to her, remaining cautious.
"Oh! Well... I heard from a close friend of mine from town that helps out at the orphanage that one of the kids are really sick. I felt bad since she's a very sweet little girl and what they need over there is a really rare flower. You can sometimes find them growing around this area but I haven't found anything... If you find one, please bring it to me! I don't have money but I'll do anything. It's a flower with red petals and yellow spots..." Carol would then notice the womn staring at her.
"Ah, I'm sorry to hear that..." Edward's face to that of sadness as he turned his head to see if the flower might be in the immediate area.
Eventually, he turned to the woman and started to whisper, "Hey, do you think..." He'd stop to think for a moment, "Do you think it would be possible to give me the flower?" He finished, rubbing the back of his neck, sitll feeling sad.
The woman gave a few blinks at the Golem before speaking. “Hello.” She replied blankly before turning to Edward. “Will finding this flower bring a new observation? I do not see how important this flower would be.” She questioned.
The Lizardman shrugged. “Barley know you, but if you ever meet me at some inn sure.” She replied.
As for the noise, it did not change. He was still on the path of course.
“Extreme...Hapiness?...” She tittered her head. Unknown emotions to her, common for people and even animals. In that case, we can search. I can gather some energy while doing so.” She pat her dress and using her pairs of multiple wings, she began to gently fly up at a calm pace.
Ever progressing down the pass he had no reason to venture off, while part of that was a fear of lossing the path another was that without something happening off the trail to grab his attention he would simply keep moving untill he reached town.
As he saw signs for civilization he smiled to himself allowing himself to relax a bit. He started looking for people on the road, approaching or otherwise. His leg was burning from the exertion and wound. He would likely have to stop at some point to give it yet another rest.
With a small nod, Edward tied the horse to a tree before starting to look for the flower. While looking, he really wanted to expkain to Carol about how they might recognize each other, though, he refrained himself for now.
“Oh...” The woman curiously looked at the flower. Such a small piece of life. Using sunlight and rain to grow...Plants were a peculiar thing. She reached out and went to dig under it. By her observations, it be best to get the dirt where the flower grew because it was part of it.
Edward continued to search, wiping sweat from his forehead. He hadn't realized the woman found the flower. "Oh, man. At this rate, we'll never reach the camp." He'd let out a small chuckle before returning to the search.
Rykerin sat down on the side of the road resting his leg. Rubbing the area around the wound while being careful not to disturb the medicine that had already been put on. Keeping an eye around his surroundings while he rested and keeping tabs on anyone that would approach.
Upon seeing the waitress with cat ears he hesitated, recalling what the lizardman had said. Glancing around he saw an extremely odd creature working though puzzled he dismissed it as it didn't strike him as particularly humanoid, nor female. After a few minutes he approached the maid, "Greetings miss, you wouldn't happen to be able to help out a strange adventerur would you?"
“You came to the right place stranger! Welcome to the Hero’s inn where esteem heroes gather From all across the land just to come here! We offer rooms so affordable it’s a steal! We also offer jobs here and around the town! And for food, we also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.” She winked.
"Sounds awesome, though I don't consider myself a hero." He smiled at her, "I think finding myself a job should be the first order of business." He was pointedly ignoring his own hunger at this point. No matter how much his stomach complained, and complain it did, he wouldn't ask for anything without the money to pay for it.
"Also, about earlier..." Edward's usually cautious look dissolved into saddened, sort of, look. "I'm sorry if I came off as rude earlier. See, er, I recognize you as well. And at the time, I didn't know why, and I was frustrated."
He'd then hand Carol the flower and look away, almost relieved.
"Oh, it's fine. I'm glad that it wasn't just me." She then set the flower down for a moment and brought Edward and the woman into a big hug. "Again, thank you two so much!" She then let go, picking the flower up. "I owe you two but I should go deliver this to my friend, Alis. Safe travels and I hope we meet again!" Carol said with a wave as she started walking away to town.
Edward would stare off into nothing whilst being hugged. His face was a hint of red, but he did his best to hide that completely. After the hug, he'd brush himself off. "No problem... Wait, Alis?" He asked curiously. "I wonder..." He'd think.
The woman blinked as the Golem had brought them together in a massive hug. Incentive the hug was done she began to add this sign of affection to he raised observation. “My first experience with a hug. Interesting.” She commented to herself.
Edward continued to stare ar Siris for a moment before looking back at the woman. "Y-Yeah. The exact opposite can happen as well." He'd then explain before eyeing the figure with a distrust in his eyes.
Siris:She really must have done a number on your memory, don't you remember me He then took off his helmet and shook his silver hair lose revealing another painfully familiar face to him your good friend Siris R. Abysswalker?
Edward stared at him for a moment. Then, a headache struck. This all-to-familiar headache was a sign to him. A sign telling him that yes, he had met him in a past life. Placing a hand on his head he'd look away to relieve the pain.
Siris:Oh time shouldn't be a problem,in my realm time flows differently so a day in my realm is only a minute out here and I can fiddle with the ratios as much as I like so if I wanted it a year their would only be a millisecond here, and their is some interesting things their that you can't see out here~ he directed that last part to Celeste
The woman tilted her head as he heard that. “As much as observing a alternate realm is, my main focus is observing the happenings here. So I will decline.” She spoke plainly as she turned down his offer without a moments hesitation.
After Siris was done Pestilence came back with the fixed W.I.S.E Siris wanting to test it out yo see if the fixes have worked he decided to try a different perspective,What if he was a female soldier and friend of Merse by the name of Siri during the time of the invasion of Lescatie (Siri is similar to her sister Allayna with a few differences Siri has her hair in a braid more masculine but still quite gifted with "good looks" Personality is the same as Siris except a bit more of a savage on the battlefield and shares the same metal arm and has GOA but uses a cestus for preferred weapon of choice in combinationwith her metal arm and has more fancy tricks and btute strength than Siris, she wears a breastplate that shows off her well toned stomach and lower back combat pants and combat boots and a detachable cape and s bracer on her non metal arm.also for an odd reason she secretly isn't all that iterested in guys and may or not be homosexual
"Yes, but I have some other things." He pulled out a piece of paper. "A whip chain, twin hooks, three throwing daggers, and a staff with an added mechanism to turn it into a lethal weapon if need be." He then put down the design for the staff that showed that part of the staff could be turned and would active blades coming out of either side.
He would store the weapons in his bag. He then walked away. "Now... It's been a while since I've fought anything... I'll get rusty if I don't. Maybe I'll try a 'quest'. Shouldn't be too different from a Contract. Now, where does one pick up a quest..." He thought as he looked around.
Inside the inn, there Indeed was a large board with hundreds of papers stuck to it, and in front was a few figures. A large figure in heavy armor and someone in mage attire, there was even someone with a spear. It was a job board all right.
“I see, I am but an observer. So I cannot predict who will win. I will only record the winner of this war.” The woman replied.
The jobs that had a greater or equal payment was now narrowed. Most involved far more dangerious mission. But the reward was far greater. Bodyguards needed Escort a princess for 200 gold. Stop a dragon from picking on a village for 275 gold. Explore abbandoned mine 50 gold. Missionary needed(combat experience prefered) 100 gold.
For Laurick, he got a few words of thanks for carrying boxes from the people he delivered to.
“It has been an one month since a dragon capable of magic has been harassing one of my most prosperous villages. I require those capable of bringing down this dragon by any means or even stopping it. Attached is a map to my estate, come to discuss further details.”
Captain Neville: Escort Princess Helena
“Wanted: Experianced warriors that can adapt to any situation and can follow orders. The mission is to escort Crown Princess Helena to Vandabar from Volksgrad a one week journey. Must be willing to throw yourself in front of the princess any attack to defend our fair lady from harm. Head to Volksgrad on the map attached here.”
Additional note: “Please don’t mind the captain. Those who are willing and skilled please help.”
These we’re the two job details.
The woman nodded. “Of course, however predictions are only predictions.”
He looked over his shoulder at Alyssa and back at the quests. "Both." He responded, putting both in his satchel. "I'm doing the escort first. If the village been dealing with the dragon for a month than they can wait another week..." He also picked up the abandoned mine quest as it sounded like easy money. Now that he has his jobs picked out he'd start up towards his room.
Edward started counting in his head. A journey like this was a boring one. Well, then again, he had a god accompanying him, plus that teleporting guy, though he didn't know where he was now.
Eventually, he checked his map. But as he did this, a thought rolled through his head. "Can you..." He then took a moment of thought. "Are you able to teleport?" He'd finally ask, looking back at the woman.
“A babysitter? Well...” Rin pondered a bit before snapping her fingers. “Riona is actually good with kids. Despite her more free attitude if she has to take care of someone she becomes a dedicated one.” She spoke.
Markus would reach into his pouch and pull out two gold and offer it to her. "Here. A bit of spending cash for you and Fifi to go do stuff. Should be more than enough. You can keep whatever is left over. We can meet at breakfast tomorrow so I can hand Fifi over to you and leave."
Markus would take it and check the mechanism. Two blades would jet out of each end after Markus turned the two halves the opposite ways. "Good. Have a nice night." He said, bringing the blades back into the staff and headed back for the inn. Once he made it to his room he'd lay the staff out on the table.
"Fifi, I'm going out to do something for the week so you'll be staying with Riona, alright?"
"Will do." He chose a black horse with white spots. Now that his shopping was over he left to the outskirts of town and changed into his gear. His staff would hang on his back while his other weapons hung on his belt. Now that he was all ready he started to make the journey towardsVolksgrad. He checked how long it would take on horseback to reach the destination.
Siri:...I don't get paid enough for this... she then immediately backed out the way they came heading back down where they came she seemingly left only to appear out of nowhere and sucker punched Druella in the face before returning to Merse's side Siri:Just Kidding!
"A village... Did the map mention one?" He thought. "Not something to put much thought into. Just passing through afterall." He also thought as he started his way through the village at a slower rate. He didn't intend to run anybody over. Though he did look around.
It felt weird... Felt like he was the center of attention. He realized now that he forgot to buy some torches before setting out but he didn't intend to stop in the village unless he absolutely had to. Just keep going...
She then created and fired an even larger blast of Abysmal energy that intercepted the barrage before having GOA restrain Druella from behind physically and magically preventing her from teleporting out of the way before teleporting himself out of the way before it would strike him as well
