    • The humming would stop for a few moments before Laurick would hear. "Hello?" Call back to him.

        Loading editor
    • Laurick walked even further inside. "My name is Laurick, might i have yours?"

        Loading editor
    • "Oh, my names Vi. What brings you here?" As he ventured deeper into the cave he would see a... What can be presumed as a Mamono sitting on a rock around a small fire. She seemed to be making soup and had some bread in hand. A backpack laid against one of the walls of the cave. She gave a welcoming smile.

    • Laurick stared at her tail for a few moments before responding. "I've been traveling and I heard you're humming, I decided to investigate."

        Loading editor
    • "Oh... Well, welcome to my little makeshift home for the time being. You may have seat if you'd like." She said as she stirred the soup. There were a few rocks that he could sit on around the fire if he chose to.

        Loading editor
    • “I figured looking at the dust...” She replied. “It would seem I am now alone.”

        Loading editor
    • "Well, on the bright side: Your free to do as you please now... Though, the outside world has no doubt changed since you were last awake." Markus said. Come to think of it... Where was the exit to this place?

        Loading editor
    • Laurick sat down. "So... What brings you here? Not to be rude, but this isn't the best place to live."

        Loading editor
    • "Just traveling around. Same as you. As for why I chose this place, I like dark places over the sunny outside. Care for some soup and bread?" She offered.

        Loading editor
    • "Sure!" Laurick said.

        Loading editor
    • She'd get another bowl and spoon out from her pack and poured some soup into the bowl and gave it to Laurick. Meat, potatoes, carrots. Your generic soup but it smelled really good. She also gave him some bread. "So, I haven't seen anything like you before. If you don't mind me asking, what are you?"

        Loading editor
    • Laurick began to eat the bread. "Well, I'm not certain if other races have a name for us, but we call ourselves Eatherlytes." Laurick's gaze falls to her tail once more. "Might I ask the same of you?"

        Loading editor
    • "Oh... Well, I was a human but I merged with a symbiote. I believe I've also turned Mamono... But I haven't had any behavior changes." She answered.

        Loading editor
    • “Indeed...The exit is on the other end of this place...” She replied blowing off dust from the monitors.

        Loading editor
    • "..." Laurick continues to eat, before asking. "So how exactly did you come across this symbiote, if you don't mind my asking."

        Loading editor
    • "...Do you plan on staying here?" Markus asked as she blew some dust off of a monitor. He had a pretty good idea on how she was feeling at the moment. Being all alone...

      MEANWHILE

Vi gave a laugh. "Asking that is asking me my life story. Well... When I was a little girl I lived in some sort of lab. But it wasn't like those horrible labs where they do terrible experiments. It was a clean place with lots of nice scientists and I had my own room with lots of plush animals. The reason I was put in the lab was due to some sort of medical condition. Then one day I meant Luren. That's the symbiote that merged with me. She's really friendly and a bit energetic but a bit brash at times... The scientists could see that we both were lonely and with no other little girls or other symbiotes around, they thought introducing each other was the next best thing and pleasantly to their surprise we became good friends. We'd did almost everything together, drawing, reading, building block towers. You name it!" She smiled at the memories but a somber face would soon replace it.

"And one day something attacked the lab. It was a man with short, black hair and red eyes. He caused an explosion next to my room and I was caught in it. I had severe burn marks and shrapnel inside my body. He killed all of the scientists while giving a sadistic laugh. I sometimes have nightmares about him... But anyways, he left me for dead. Luren hid in a vent during the attack and after the man left she rushed to my room. I really thought I was gonna die but Luren merged with my body and I managed to survive." She then gave a smile.

"Ever since then we just traveled around. Seeing and experiencing new things. I've also been enjoying the time I've been spending with her... Oh! I have a photo of us together before we merged if you'd like to see!"

        Loading editor
    • Laurick nodded at the mention of seeing a photo. "I think I would." He tried to ignore the fact that he was sitting across from someone who had lost almost all their friends and family to some psychopath.

        Loading editor
    • “This is still my home...In a way...I do not know what to do anyways...” She replied.

        Loading editor
    • (Mek you do realize that the name Vivian is taken right?)

        Loading editor
    • (What is this antagonist battle royale?)

        Loading editor
    • Siri:Hopefully this incident didn't ruin our friendship...honestly it was foolish to think you would actually reciprocate my feelings...

        Loading editor
    • “I don’t care about love...It was weird to do that...But I don’t hold anything against you.” Merse replied

        Loading editor
    • (Oh... Well then, I'll change Vivian to Vi. And if you're talking about the man that attacked the lab, I'll touch more on that later when I introduce something new to the RP.)

She'd search her bag a bit before pulling out a photo and showing it to Laurick.

      MEANWHILE

Markus stared at her for a few moments, thinking what a hero would do. "Well... I don't know if you care for other peoples opinions but I'm going to lay out mine to you anyways. I would leave. This may have been your home but there's nothing left here for you but memories. There's a world outside that will offer so much more than what's here. What I'm trying to say here is: Let go of the past and keep going for a brighter future... That's what I'm trying to do." He said as he looked over at the explorers.

"Your welcome to come with me. You have until these guys are done with their research and we leave to decide. If you choose to stay here, then do it if it makes you happy."

        Loading editor
    • Allayna who had been tailing Markus the entire time cleared her throat making her presence known

        Loading editor
    • Markus would look to where the throat clearing was coming from to see Allayna... "Is stalking people a hobby of yours or am I just a special case?" Asking, feeling a bit annoyed.

        Loading editor
    • The Automaton takes his words to account. “It is...True. Perhaps it’s better for relics like this to be in the hand side of the historians here. Indeed! This is the best course of action. This place cannot even do it’s primary function without any of the workers.” She spoke with a nod.

        Loading editor
    • Siri:That's a relief...so what do we do now,Lescatie is gone...is it even worth staying in the Order anymore?

        Loading editor
    • Laurick stared at the picture. "Huh, it's amazing how different you are now..."

        Loading editor
    • "A fair bit of time has gone by since then. " Vi said as she put the picture away. "Another thing. Luren sleeps during the day and I take control of our body and vice-versa at night."

      MEANWHILE

Markus would look from Allanya to Automaton. "So... You've already decided?"

        Loading editor
    • “Where else we gonna go? The wilderness? Heading back home is our best chance at staying safe.” Merse replied.

“Indeed, Being able to calculate fast is very important. I will leave this place and find a calling.” She replied.

        Loading editor
    • "Well, alright..." First, he takes in Fifi and then an Automaton. He wasn't sure if this was the right course of action but it's too late to go back. "Well... If your going to be traveling with me there's two things you'll be needing. A name and some normal clothes."

        Loading editor
    • “Ah, That would be a start. Yes...My name from now on will be Julia. As for clothing, I will acquire some here.” She spoke as she left to a side room.

        Loading editor
    • "Clothing... Hm..." He thought and got an idea. "Make sure you grab extra pairs of clothing." He called out to her and turned to the explorers. "Well... This may have been a bit stressful but admittedly it's been interesting. Are you all almost done with your research?"

        Loading editor
    • “Almost, this is our biggest discovery yet!” The leader spoke.

        Loading editor
    • Markus nodded as he waited for Julia to get whatever she needed. He still needed to retrieve his twin hook from the mine... With that monster around. He wondered if the poison had any further effects after they escaped or if that thing was still around, maybe even guarding his weapon...

        Loading editor
    • Laurick nods. "You know, if you have questions about me I'll try my best to answer them?"

        Loading editor
    • "Hm... Where do you come from?" She asked.

        Loading editor
    • "I come from a far away place called Mycon Marsh, a nice place if you find marshes and swamps pleasant like me."

        Loading editor
    • Julia soon returned dressed in a rather nice uniform. She was fully clothed and by the looks of it, she had extra clothes in a small device since she was seen putting one set of clothes in it.

        Loading editor
    • "I see your back. I was wondering-" He was going to ask if there were any clothes that would fit Fifi but... He'd need special clothing made for a Harpy. She only did have three outfits. He felt kinda stingy for only getting three. Though he got another idea. "I was wondering if there are any devices here that could prove useful."

      MEANWHILE

"Hm... I've seen marshes before. Unfortunately not my cup of tea. Well, here's another question. Is all of your race intelligent like you or are you a special case?"

        Loading editor
    • "We all are, at least those of us in Mycon, I can't vouch for any Eatherlyte that doesn't come from there."

        Loading editor
    • "Oh, alright. Hm... So are you headed anywhere specific? Also, is there a reason you left Mycon?"

        Loading editor
    • "I'm currently wandering, and as for my reason? I just felt a desire to explore the world beyond the marsh one day."

        Loading editor
    • “Well, useful is dependent on what use it is to you. What sort of device are you wondering about?” She asked.

        Loading editor
    • "Oh, I see..." Vi then seemed to listen to something yet Laurick didn't hear anything. "Luren was wondering why your not a Mamono..."

      MEANWHILE

"Combat wise... Maybe some sort of amulet that protects its wearer from harm. Stuff like that."

        Loading editor
    • "Probably because we're one of those intelligent non-monster races, or course, that means we have the potential to become mamono. No doubt if I get enough demonic energy I'll become one."

        Loading editor
    • “My scans indicate almost all combat equipment has left this facility. At best, there is a spare weapon in storage.” She spoke.

        Loading editor
    • "Uh-huh..." At the moment, Vi was conversing with Luren internally.

      "Luren... Don't..."

      "Whaaat? I was just curious..."

"Anyways. Now that we've finished eating I should start packing up." She said, taking the bowls, spoons, and pot. She then grabbed a canteen of water and rag from her pack and started out of the cave to presumably clean them.

      MEANWHILE

"Hm... Spare weapon. Mind as take a look. Lead the way."

        Loading editor
    • Laurick stared at her as she left, wondering about what she was thinking of prior to her departure.

        Loading editor
    • Vi would arrive a few moments later with clean dishes and packed up her stuff. Soon her pack was on her back. "Well, it was nice meeting you Laurick... Now, which direction should I head?" She audibly asked herself.

        Loading editor
    • Laurick looked at her. "Say, what where you thinking about when I told you of my monsterization potential?"

        Loading editor
    • "Oh, that? Well, I was getting suspicious that Luren was going to try something but she said that she's just curious."

        Loading editor
    • "Oh? About what?"

        Loading editor
    • "Uh... That she would try to turn you into a Mamono..."

        Loading editor
    • Laurick stayed silent for what felt like an eternity before responding. "...There are... Benefits, to this transformation, correct? After all, it did save you from mortal wounds."

        Loading editor
    • Julia nodded as she led the way into a small storage room. Most of it was empty save for a lone weapon in a case. Probably for emergencies. “This is a guard pistol. It uses high powered energy to fire at targets.” She explained bringing it out.

        Loading editor
    • "Oh, no. What saved me was Luren merging with me and therefore giving me her powerful regeneration. I became a Mamono later on in my travels. But that's not to say there aren't benefits. One example is that you'll physically become stronger and gain a higher pain tolerance. A higher rate of regeneration is also something that comes with it but not enough to survive what I did."

      MEANWHILE

"Energy pistol... May I see it?" Markus asked.

        Loading editor
    • "Ahh...." Laurick stays silent. "If it is ok with her, I am willing to go through whatever process there is to become one."

        Loading editor
    • "Oh..." She looked surprised by him saying this. "Um... Let me discuss this with Luren real quick..."

        Loading editor
    • She shifted awkwardly and gave a sighSiri:Yeah I don't know about you but ...my "home" was Lescatie and that place is now...gone.So unless we want to go off the deep end and get corrupted then sure let's go back-NOT.

        Loading editor
    • Julia handed him the pistol. It was sleek, a black color, but otherwise it was definitely advanced technology.

        Loading editor
    • Laurick nodded and stared at the fire.

        Loading editor
    • “Not back there!...Jeeze, back to a place not infested with monsters. Like another Capitol city.” Merse sighed.

        Loading editor
    • (Did you have Allayna show up for no reason or something?)

Markus would look over the pistol. "So... What if it runs out of energy?"

      MEANWHILE

"Alright!" Vi announced in an energetic tone. "My names Luren, the other side of Vi! What? You already introduced me!? Well, that's no fun... Anyways! Are you ready to turn into a Mamono, Laurick?" Seems Luren was in control now...

        Loading editor
    • After a final moment of deliberation he answered. "Yes, ready when you are."

        Loading editor
    • "Alrighty! Just lay down and I'll do the rest!" She then stripped down to nothing, showing off her body. "Also! Vi asked that we not talk about what happens in this cave since she's not someone big on lewd things and such. She'll allow this since it's a special occasion." Luren... Or really on Vi's body, he could see that there appeared to be a scar on her neck that went down to her pelvis. But upon further examination, it wasn't a scare but some discoloration of this skin.

(To give you a better idea on what I mean.)

        Loading editor
    • Laurick did as instructed, staring at the cave ceiling.

        Loading editor
    • "No need to stress about this!" She said as she walked over and examined him before she laid down next to him and wrapped both him and herself up in her tails. "Basically, you're going to be in a DE cocoon. Nothing to sweat about! Really if you wanted, you could just fall asleep while I do what I need to." He could feel that her tail was soft and squishy...

        Loading editor
    • Laurick decided to stay awake for this, after all, this was a once in a lifetime experience.

        Loading editor
    • He could see that Luren started to get handsy with her chest while one of her tails started to rub against her nether region. Things were getting a bit hot and heavy. After awhile Laurick himself would start to feel a bit funny. Most likely the DE being generated taking its course on his body.

        Loading editor
    • Laurick averted his gaze, before the effects of the Demonic Energy draw his gaze back towards the rather intimate acts occurring.

        Loading editor
    • (I didn't sign up for pokephilia!)

        Loading editor
    • (She's not doing anything to Laurick.)

        Loading editor
    • (Admittley this is weird and strange though but I didn't see any other logical way to go with this.)

        Loading editor
    • Siri:Yeah but explaining what happened and all the paperwork I'd going to be a nightmare

        Loading editor
    • (And again, is there a reason why you had Allayna show up?)

        Loading editor
    • (Never thought I'd be in a rp where my main character is a Pokemon who engages in voyeuristic acts.)

        Loading editor
    • (And hell, the Diamond Trumpart would turn her husband into an animal and have sex with them. Compared to that, this is a lot tamer.)

        Loading editor
    • (And you asked for this Tikkit.)

        Loading editor

        Loading editor

        Loading editor
    • Mind as start calling him a her now... Lurens actions would continue to get rougher and more explicit with moans starting to fill the cave. This would go on for a while with the effects of DE slowly changing Lauricks body. After about an hour the transition from monster to Mamono would finish... But Luren being a Mamono, of course, had a little fun with Laurick. To simply put it, they both were satisfied in the end. Luren at the moment was getting dressed.

"Ah~ That was nice! What do you think Laurick... Lauren! Now that you're a girl your name should be Lauren!"

(Well Tikkit, which picture does Laurick look like? Also speaking of posts, I've recently broken 19,000. Jeez, I'm beating the likes of The Reptile King in terms of posting. I also bet Spec is just watching all of this thinking 'What in the gods name are they doing...?')

    • (Seeing as I'm far to lazy to search for a image that I like more, let us go with the first one.)

"Uhh.... Sure..." The now female Lauren said, glad that she had "Clothes" on. "This feels... Different."

        Loading editor
    • "You'll get used to it." Luren said as she was now fully dressed. "Welp, since Vi's asleep right now your stuck with me. So mind if we tag along with you? Me and Vi don't really have any idea on which direction to go from here."

        Loading editor
    • "Uh, sure." Lauren said, sitting down on a rock. Already a small voice in her head was whispering "Find a husband."

        Loading editor
    • "Sweet!" Luren said as she threw her back on. "Ready to go whenever you are... You OK?" She asked, tilting her head as she sat down on a rock.

        Loading editor
    • (Honestly it's wonderland everything there is kinky, also you forgot about the mindflayer turning their husband into a squid but that's to be expected because old gods and tentecles n stuff)

        Loading editor
    • (Couldn't she have just continued to watch in secret instead of coming out into the open?)

        Loading editor
    • (Well if you want pretend she still is)

        Loading editor
    • “You can recharge it.” She spoke.

Merse sighed. “Or I can go myself and we can meet wherever you decided to go.”

        Loading editor
    • "Recharge it... How?"

        Loading editor
    • (How!?)

        Loading editor
    • Siri:No...I'll go with you it'll be easier to explain with the two of us.man I'm going to miss that place... and with that the simulation endedSiris:That was certainly a different perspective...maybe I should build a time machine to save her but who knows what that would change things...

        Loading editor
    • “Solar energy. You leave it in light and it recharges, a very simple concept.” She spoke

        Loading editor
    • (Please no time machine shenanigans.)

        Loading editor
    • (By paying 2 mana and taking 2 damage)

        Loading editor
    • "Huh. Nice." He sounded pretty pleased with the new addition to his arsenal. He seemed like a weapon enthusiast. "Well, let's head back to the explorers and see if they're ready to go." He said and once over there he'd walk over.

"Are you guys done? Also, I'd like to collect my payment now."

        Loading editor
    • “Of course! And taking into consideration the danger pay...An additional 60 gold for 120 gold. And an additional 30 for a very successful exploration! Here’s your 150 gold.” The leader spoke handing him a big pouch of gold.

        Loading editor
    • "Yeah I'm fine, just getting used to my new body." Lauren said, after a few minutes she got up. "I'm ready to depart."

        Loading editor
    • Markus was surprised by the sudden rise in pay but wasn't going to complain. He accepted the payment. Markus earned a solid 430 gold from this trip and it total sitting at a pretty 471 gold and 47 silver. That along with finding a new ally and a neat, new weapon. After adding the money with his other cash he'd nod. "Alright. Let's get going." And the group would find they're way to the exit thanks to the helpt of Julia. Though, Markus's business wasn't completely done in the mine: He still needed to get back his other twin blade.

        Loading editor
    • "OK!" Luren cheered as the two left the cave. Luren and Vi were quite the contrasting pair...

        Loading editor
    • Lauren got onto Wellington, taking a Apple out of the bag and taking a bite.

        Loading editor
    • Once again, the damed aulence returned. It always did. "So where do you come from?" Edward eventually asked, looking over hia shoulder ro the Vamp Moaquito.

        Loading editor
    • The others followed Julia to the exit. Of course Markus had to return back to the entranc of this place to retrieve his weapon.

        Loading editor
    • As they left, Markus would bring up a question to Juila. "Say, by any chance can you light up areas."

      MEANWHILE

Luren would climb on back of Wellington. "So where we headed?"

        Loading editor
    • "I come from a small fishing village in the car north, a rather inhospitable environment that I only found worse for rather obvious reasons." The mamono responds.

"Well, I was heading south prior to this, so we might as well continue." Lauren said, spurring Wellington on.

        Loading editor
    • “Yes, I am equipped with a lightgenerating device known as a flashlight.” Julia replied.

        Loading editor
    • "Huh. Have a name?" Edward returned his gaze forward.

        Loading editor
    • "Yes, Fleur." She answered.

        Loading editor
    • "Edward." He'd say before a thought dawned on him. "She doesn't have a name..." He thought, referring to the woman.

        Loading editor
    • The woman was simply following behind, just observing and no doubt passively drawing energy around her.

        Loading editor
    • Siris would then teleport back to Edward and Celeste Siris:Alright!I'm back Ed,Celeste fill me in on what happened did Edward resign like the cards predicted? Why are you with a mosquito?is that your wife?

        Loading editor
    • "Good." Markus replied. Once they were outside and back to the explorers camp, he'd say his goodbyes. "We'll be leaving soon after I retrieve my weapon which I assume you all will be gone by then. Anyways, it was a pleasure working with you all. Hopefully we might meet in the future." He then turned to Juila. "Come with me. I'll be needing some light while looking around the mines."

        Loading editor
    • Fleur looks offended at his comment. "Yes, because I obviously wanted to marry a Order Knight i just met, who had threatened to kill or harm me."

        Loading editor
    • Luren nodded as they traveled, her actually being quiet for once. She was at the moment of enjoying the scenery.

        Loading editor
    • "Doesn't make all that sense." Edward said regarding Siris' comment. Though, his stare remained forward.

        Loading editor
    • Lauren continued in her travel.

        Loading editor
    • “Of course, I will provide light.” Julia nodded as she walked beside Markus. The explorers of course packed up thier camp.

        Loading editor
    • As they started inside, Markus told her about the monster. "Be aware that there's some Mamono in here like spider women and bat women but as long as we have light they'll be too afraid to do anything. Really, the real threat is this monster with a bunch of arms that regenerate at alarming rates. The preferred way I'd want this to go is that the monster is nowhere in sight, I get my weapon without incident, and we leave..."

        Loading editor
    • "So, when do you think we'll see civilization?" Lauren asked.

        Loading editor
    • "Um... Oh!" She then searched her pack a bit before she pulled out a map.  "Let's, we just came from that valley so... About at this pace, we'll reach a city named 'Embross' in about... I'd say about two hours." She replied.

        Loading editor
    • "Hmm, is Embross a big city?" Lauren asks as they ride onward.

        Loading editor
    • "Big enough that it has a map of the city on here... So I'd say big!" She then gave a stretch. "Well, I'm going to switch out with Vi since she's the one that's supposed to be around during the daytime. Cya!"

        Loading editor
    • "So, you never really did get to finish your interrogation of me." Lauren says as they switch.

        Loading editor
    • Lauren would need to give Vi sometime to look around before realizing Laurens transformation. "Oh... Wow. You've really... Really have changed. Um... It seems like Luren decided to tag along with you. Where are we headed?"

        Loading editor
    • As Markus told her of the monster, she nodded. “In that case, a good hit through the brain would be best to put down such a dangerious creature.” Julia nodded as a shoulder flashlight illuminated the passageway.

        Loading editor

    • "Yeah but easier said than done. I stabbed it through one of its eyes but that didn't do much. And if it's not near the eyes, I have no clue where the brain could be..." They should be approaching where his weapon was tossed at. He decided to try his new energy gun if the monster did show up.

      MEANWHILE

"Oh, alright... Did something happen before you and me met?"

        Loading editor
    • "What do you mean? As that encompasses quite a large amount of my life."

        Loading editor
    • "Oh, well you just said a change for the better so it sounded like something bad happened previous to meeting me. I apologize for misinterpreting."

        Loading editor
    • "It's fine, but I would like to benefit from becoming a Mamono."

        Loading editor
    • “It must be further inbeded in the skull. By my calculations, you may have to thrust far more deeper than normal.” She replied as she looked around the area while keeping her light forward. “All I see is blood from the creature, but no sign of it.” She spoke.

    • "While I'd like to say that's a good thing, it could just mean it's waiting around to ambush us..." Markus said as they made it to his twin hook. He'd pick it up and put it back on his belt. "Alright. Let's get out of here. Maybe the poison I gave it finished it off." He said, turning to go leave the cave.

        Loading editor
    • Siris:What?Mamono marry Order soldiers all the time all it takes is a bit of "convincing".

        Loading editor
    • "Convincing... That's a very sugar-coded way of saying it." Edward shook his head, thinking over the battle he'd just seen.

        Loading editor
    • "You'll benefit. Don't worry." Vi reassured.

        Loading editor
    • The creature did not show any sign of appearing, even the monsters were gone. So they were in the clear.

        Loading editor
    • Well, it looked like retrieve his weapon went smoothly. Once out of the cave, Markus would take a little bit of time to clean the blood off of his weapons to avoid rusting. After that he and Julia would be riding on his horse in the direction of town. "So, Julia, what was exactly made in those Ruins?"

        Loading editor
    • “Confidential information. Apologies, but I will not say.” Julia replied.

        Loading editor
    • "Confidential... Well, I guess I can only assume then. So those other capsules. I'm assuming they had other Automatons inside like you. Any idea on what could have happened to them?"

        Loading editor
    • “Perhaps a call to battle, I was possibly chosen to awaken when an attack breached the facility. So I was put on standby.” She replied.

        Loading editor
    • "Hm..." He wondered if any other of her... Siblings? Were still around. If he had to guess, probably not. Then again, to his understanding Automatons don't age so it was technically possible but he doubted it. "I also need to address my name. My real names Markus. Oculus is just the name I use when I'm out questing. So basically, call me Markus when I don't have my armor on and call me Oculus when I do have it on."

        Loading editor
    • “So a codename so no one will know your real name. Clever, and smart. I understand.” She replied.

        Loading editor
    • "Glad you understand." They ride on in silence for a while, Markus thinking about all that has happened during his trip. Him betraying the escort quest wasn't a heroic act... He should probably get his head straight and figure out what it means to be a hero. Clearly, it wasn't obvious to him but he'll just have to learn from experience. He then thought about the reports the Royal Guardsman had to put in. While Markus was excused for his crimes, they still had to files what happened, right? 'Man dressed in black helps in an ambush to kidnap the Princess, takes out several Royal Guardsman and the captain without bleeding a drop of blood and avoid Princesses sleep spell. After learning that he was lied to about payment, saves Princess from attempted murder and escorts her himself to her kingdom' or something along those lines. He wondered if this story was going to spread around... Well, he had plenty to reflect on. At least he was still paid and made a substantial amount of cash...

Then again, what did he need so much money for? It wasn't like the inn asked for rent every day and everything in the city was surprisingly inexpensive. He thought about it for a while as they rode what he was aiming for. It wasn't like he even had a goal in sight at the moment. The question 'What do I want?' would stick in his mind until he came to a realization. A house. The Heroes Inn wasn't bad but if he got a house, Fifi and him wouldn't need to share a room anymore. They both could decorate however they pleased. He could read in the living room without interruption while being cozy on the couch next to the fireplace. Guest rooms for when they had visitors. Homemade meals with fresh ingredients, private training area out in the backyard, stable for his horse to stay in, weapon display room, library... OK, maybe not an entire library but plenty of bookshelves. Basement, attic, study. He could see the sight now... But he quickly shook his head as he realized that he was having a daydream while riding his horse.

His daydream seemed a bit ambitious but it made him beyond motivated to reach that dream. He wondered what the housing market was like... Hopefully, it won't be bad. He sped his horse up a bit, not wanting to waste any time.

    • Imperial Forces: Brakks

“Sir, report from forward scouts. Apparently an Order Fortress was attacked a few hours ago. Before assistant forces could arrive the monster forces withdrew along with most of the defenders.” A soldier reported.

“Word is coming out it would seem. Adapt our tactics from here on out. It seems these monsters are not as foolish as we first thought.” Brakks spoke as the soldier saluted and left.

“Ooh! If it isn’t the glory boy Brakky! Doing fine work as usual, obviously since you are now under MY command now! So I expect your very best.” Arrogance spoke with her usual prideful air about her.

“Commander Arrogance...I reccomend more forward action against these monsters. Setting up for your special things is valuable time that’s could be used to hunt down the enemy.” Brakks voiced his complaint keeping in line.

“Oh? I’m sorry but MY needs outweigh YOUR needs worm! I’ll send you like the good dog you are in time once my preparations are complete to perfect specifications! Oho! Trust me, I’m the commander for a reason and your still a low ranking lieutenant, only outranking the man with those glowing eyes of his. And the rest of the normal soldiers. Leave the brains to me Brakky. I’ll rely on you when I need pure stupid muscle.” She then began to laugh as she walked past him.

Brakks gave an audible tsk as he went his separate way...She was indeed the commander for a reason. Despite her less than popular attitude, she was a superb tactician. Given time she will send him to no doubt spill blood of far more of his enemies than he could accomplish himself. He still hated her for thinking of war more like a damn show...

White shirt and some jeans and of course, his mask. Once done with that the two would ride into town. Markus was keeping an eye out for wherever he could buy a house...

"So you mentioned something about combat programs. Just how good are you?"

"Change of plans. I'm going out to do something and your going to stay in my room at the inn. Don't go snooping through my things and if you see a small Harpy girl, be nice to her. Her names Fifi." And with that, they'd make it to the inn and get Julia situated in his inn room. He kept a careful eye out for Fifi and stay out of sight if she was around. He wanted to have the house bought beforehand. With that all out of the way, Markus would be outside of the Heroes Inn, take out the business card, and look it over. He still had that Dragon quest... • "Well, I've got nothing against the living. Are you offering your services?"

        Loading editor
    • "So long as it pays well I'm willing to offer my services to whatever goal you put them to."

        Loading editor
    • Dr.Blight:Well there's a first time for everything, usually the process takes five minutes...so I heard that you're new here so I'll give you the brief explanation of what we're about,We were a gang of people of all sorts that's been around for 30 or so years, originally we were survivors of a ruined country fighting for our lives but over time we grew into this organization that we're in today, our goal is to help people by doing things for the locals...alright you're all done he would then remove the needle and applied a bandage. he then handed him 160 gold feel free to help yourself to a donut on your way out

        Loading editor
    • "Alright..." He said as he stands up. He still wondered why he was chosen to be a part of this whole thing but he doubted that he'd get that answer anytime soon. He simply started towards the elevator so he could leave. He also declined the donut.

      MEANWHILE

"Having someone able to go out into the city would be useful... Alright. Considered yourself hired." He stood up. "First, follow me." He said, heading over and opening a door which looked to head down to the basement. Dawn then started his way down.

        Loading editor
    • Lauren followed him down the stairs.

        Loading editor
    • Once to the basement, Dawn would clap his hands and the lights would come on. It looked like some sort of laboratory. Tables with chemicals, beakers, and what appears to be different inventions on tables. Everyone none occupied wall had a full bookshelf. There were several doors that led to other rooms. He'd head over to one of the tables and start looking for something.

        Loading editor
    • Lauren looked around, not even daring to tough something for she feared that if she did it would end up badly for her. "So, why did we come down here?*

        Loading editor
    • He'd pick up something from the table and offer it to her. "This." It looked to be a silver ring. "It's simply a magic ring that will allow us to communicate to one another. Telepathic communication."

        Loading editor
    • Edward let out a small chuckle before starting to move forward again. "This just gets better and better." He thought to himself.

        Loading editor
    • Lauren takes the ring. "So, I assume I'm going to be running errands if we need telepathy to communicate?"

        Loading editor
    • Siris:Hey Celeste have you heard of The Arrow?

        Loading editor
    • As Markus went to the elevator he noticed there wasn't a button to call it down meaning that it was only a one way trip soon someone approached him it was the masked man from before Vendrick:Hello Oculus,Wink,Wink-anyway I've seen that you done your first requests! There are much bigger and more higher paying jobs than giving blood,We are talking thousands of gold ready to be added to you're pocket, every now and then there is a raid that only a few get the chance to participate in but the pay is significant So if you're up to it come back soon!Oh the exit is over there by the way,Bye now. And with that he left

        Loading editor
    • “The arrow? I dot know, nor care. I wish to observe the interactions of life. Everything else is not my concern unless something deeply interferes.” The woman replied.

        Loading editor
    • Siris:Are you kidding me?The Arrow or Arrows are an artifact said to be gifts from the gods, only five exist and people have been fighting over it over the ages for it's power that it grants to the ones that are worthy that are pierced by it and that power differs for everyone usually it creates manifestations of ones fighting spirit creating life from just ones will to fight that's how GOA came to be!Does it interest you now!?

        Loading editor
    • "Most of them are probably going at the bottom of some Dragon's hoard, or are guarded by some other great and terrible entity." Fleur guesses.

        Loading editor
    • Dawn nodded and held his hand out which he summoned ten gold coins from a blue flame and gave it to her. "And some spending money. Any items I request you to bring I'll pay three times what you bought it for. For items that don't require you to buy them, we'll sort out payment once you bring me said item. As for right now, I don't require anything. For now, just go into the city and look around for anything that catches your attention."

He then turned to the table of inventions. "I may also occasionally pay you in useful items. Depending on how I'm feeling." He gave a light chuckle.

      MEANWHILE

"Thousands..." Markus thought. "Higher the payment the harder the quest. I doubt I'm capable." He also thought as he found the exit and left. Now with enough money, he headed back to the residential housing building and entered where he headed up to the counter.

"I've gotten the money together. Is there anything that needs to be signed?"

        Loading editor
    • "Uh-huh, looks like I'm off then!" Lauren says to Dawn before she goes back up the stairs and out of the tower. She mounts Wellington and begins her ride back to Embross.

        Loading editor
    • The ride back to Embross wasn't long. Well, she could either investigate the other two things she heard about at the inn or keep going around town to see if she could find anything.

        Loading editor
    • Lauren decided to find something new, as she doubted she was an "Esper" and the other thing was rather vague and could lead to far more trouble than it's worth.

        Loading editor
    • Rather vague... That's why you investigate it. Anyways, it was rather quiet.

        Loading editor
    • She continued for a bit longer, intending to make a valiant effort in finding some thing else before she investigated.

        Loading editor
    • Still quiet.

        Loading editor
    • Lauren sighed, looks like she had to head for this "Atlas."

        Loading editor
    • Or she could do research at a library. Who said she had to head to the Atlas right away?

        Loading editor
    • (If your dissintrested in the Atlas after at least reading about it I'll try to come up with something else. But hear it out at least first.)

        Loading editor
    • Of course, a library, it couldn't hurt to know what she was getting into.

        Loading editor
    • She would find one nearby and inside she could see a woman sitting at a counter. She gave Lauren a smile. "How can I help you?"

        Loading editor
    • “No, however I would be interested in only observing how people fight over it and the effect it causes afterwards.” The woman replied without tone. Truly, it would appear she cared not for it besides simply recording results.

      Imperial Forces: The Iron Commander

It was a new day, a new continent. As commander of Imperial Armored forces, she was held in highness regard. Despite not a great tactician, her skills in a tank were superb. Of course, like Brakks this was considered her weakest strength. She held a power, but highly prefered using a tank.

She was busy admiring one such tank as Brakks walked by. “Oh, guess I would find you here...” Brakks sighed as he pulled out a ciggarate and lit it with a small wave of hi sized hand.

She turned around and saluted the Lieutenant who in return gave her a firm salute. She did not speak but gave a smile. “Right...Your mute...You usually have that instrument with you, but you always forget it when you can see our armored vehicles...” He spoke blowing a puff of smoke. “Don’t mind me...Got nothing to do...”

        Loading editor
    • "Hello, I'd like to inquire about something called the Atlas. Are there any books here on it?"

        Loading editor
    • "Thousands..." Markus thought.

    • "Oh, just over on that shelf." She said, pointing towards a close by shelf. "The latest edition should be 'The Atlas 8'. That will tell you what you need to know."

        Loading editor
    • “Oh, very simply sir. Sign your name on the contract and pay. And you will be all set.” The receptionist said.

        Loading editor
    • "Thanks." Lauren says as she walks over to the shelf and takes the book. She than begins to read.

        Loading editor
    • Markus gave a nod as he handed over the payment and signed. Now with the keys to his new house, he headed over to the inn and headed up to his room. "I'm back. Hope you haven't made yourself comfortable because we're leaving." He said towards Julia.

      MEANWHILE

Lauren would flip to the first page which read as the following.

      Introduction

The Atlas is a strange structure that one day appeared. On the outside, it looks to be a temple made of white bricks covered in light blue runes with stone stairs that lead up to a set of giant doors that open whenever someone approaches that leads into complete darkness. Inside, on the other hand, is another story. Once a person our group enters the Atlas they are suddenly teleported to a dungeon where they will find low-level monsters and loot but at the end of the dungeon, they will find a trapdoor that leads into darkness. Once going inside they head down a level in the Atlas where they will find slightly harder enemies and better loot. Every 5 levels they will encounter a boss monster where they can defeat it and collect decent loot. As far as we know, the Atlas is infinite and seems to generate new dungeons for every person or group. It's suggested to head into the Atlas with a group. Turn the page for where to find certain pages on such things as dungeons, monsters, etc.

        Loading editor
    • Julia had been sitting in the middle of the floor, and stood up when Markus announced they were leaving. “Of course. I am always ready to move out.”

        Loading editor
    • Lauren turned the page of the book.

        Loading editor
    • The Atlas has many different parts to it so we have taken the liberty to divide it up into sections.

      Dungeons

      Monsters

      Deities

      Miscellaneous

It was up to Lauren to Lauren which section she wanted to look at first.

        Loading editor
    • She begins flipping to the monster section, as it was definitely helpful to know what she would be up against.

    • Now he headed over to Rionas room and knocked. His arrival was days early but he was sure that Fifi would be glad.

        Loading editor
    • After a short second, he heard a bunch of splashing noises and muffled talking as the door soon opened up to Riona wearing a towel and soaked on her head. “Oh? You’re back. Come to take Fifi off my hands?” She chuckled. She seemed to be a bit happy.

        Loading editor
    • Why does it seem Markus always catches her when she's bathing... "Yeah. She's been good, right?"

        Loading editor
    • “Yeah, but my goodness...She needs another person to reach those hard to reach spots on those wings of hers. But she is a good kid.” She laughed a bit.

        Loading editor
    • "Well good. I'll let you two finish up. I've got something to show her that I'm sure will make her happy. You can come along too, more the merrier." He himself seemed to be in a good mood thanks to whatever he has to show.

        Loading editor
    • “Sure, sounds interesting. I’ll be out in five minutes.” Riona replied as she closed the door and after a bit she came out with Fifi who was smiling happily.

    • The monsters in the Atlas vary greatly between dungeons but almost all of them have a common enemy that has variations across the different types of dungeons such as slimes, goblins, giant rats, giant spiders, and weak undead. It's also been proven that one can take a monster from the Atlas into the outside world where one can choose to do what they desire with the monster. Please choose a dungeon to see it's monsters.

      Regular Dungeon

      The Crypt

      The Labs

      The Grotto

      The Volcano

      The Ships

      The Void

      The Deepwood Forest

      The Flooded Dungeon

      The Ruins

      The Aether

Seems like there are quite a bit of different dungeons... Maybe starting with the regular dungeon's monsters would be a good start for now.

    • "Hey Fifi looks like I'm back early." He said as he gave her a pat on the head. "Also, this is Julia. She's going to be coming with us wherever we go from now on."

        Loading editor
    • Lauren indeed starts with it, as more likely than not it would be the first type she enxencount.

        Loading editor
    • Fifi hugged Markus’s leg with a smile on her face. “You’re back! Hurray!” She cheered. “You got a knack for finding people huh?” Riona commented looking at the Automaton.

        Loading editor
    • "I guess I do..." He said as he looked over at Julia. "This is Fifi and Riona. Well, lets get going." Markus said, leading the group outside. This was the first time Fifi or Riona would see his new horse. "I bought a horse before I left but this isn't the surprise."

        Loading editor
    • “Well, horses are rather common. Guess that means you got quite a surprise in store.” Riona laughed a bit as Fifi hopped in excitement.

    • The list of monsters shown will be going from the first floor of the Atlas down. The regular dungeon contains no special variants of monsters.

Bubblefish - A weird, grey, little blobfish that flops around on the ground. Fires non-harmful bubbles and can slide across the floor leaving behind a small trail of corrosive sludge. By far the easiest and non-threatening enemy in the entire Atlas.

Burrow Worm - A green worm creature with two white eyes and a mouth. Can burrow short distances away and shoot small spines.

Giant Spider - A large spider that leaves webbing to slow down adventurers and has a somewhat nasty bite. Can also drop down from the ceiling.

Slime - These slimes come in all sorts of colors but the color means nothing when in the regular dungeon. Fires slime balls that hit hard and cause some corrosion.

Goblin - First somewhat intelligent monster. Carry knives and swords. Though whenever encountering Goblins be wary for traps they may have set up.

Gnome - Gnomes carry small pickaxes that they swing at adventurers and tend to set up beartraps. They'll also steal any gold they can get their hands on and run off. Viable tactic if overrun by them.

Eyebat - A small bat with a large eye. Shoots blue orbs and when coming close to an Eyebat will almost always cause it to fly around in a panic.

Giant Rat - Large rats that will pounce at enemy adventurers to bite and scratch them.

Spearman - Looks to be a man wrapped in purple clothing covering it up from head to toe except the eyes which give a red glow. Fights with a spear.

Ghost - Tends to be the most annoying among the monsters. Can fire blue fire at enemies and create healing runes that when stood on heals. Can only be damaged by magic but almost always dies instantly when hit by any form of magic.

Plague Mushroom - A large, pink mushroom that slides around on the ground. Leaves behind a trail of corrosive sludge. Can also launch a spore that will turn into another Plague Mushroom which itself can launch more spores. Best to take out this monster first before things get out of hand.

Skeleton - Just a skeleton. Doesn't even have weapons. Has a mean punch though.

Those were the first few monsters that she would encounter in the first few floors.

        Loading editor
    • Markus would lead the three towards the house and once there he'd turn to the three. "I went ahead and bought a house so we can move out of the inn. I think this will be a nice change."

        Loading editor
    • "Interesting..." Lauren said as she read the book. She proceeded to flip over to The Crypt, assuming that the section locations were based on how common they were.

        Loading editor
    • Fifi’s eyes sparkled as she saw the house. “Amazing! A big house!” She hopped with joy. Riona put her hands on her hips. “Wow, ain’t you a gentleman. But you certainly work hard in a few days...Color me surprised. In a week you might buy out a kingdom.” She joked.

        Loading editor
    • Big house... Biggest that was available at least. "I don't like sitting around wasting time... I guess in a way you could call me a workaholic. Let's take a look inside." He said as he took out the keys to the house and unlocked the door. There was a one-horse stable area next to the house where he put his horse when they arrived.

    • The Crypt is known for its undead enemies which if prepared for a run through The Crypt will make for easy money.

Skeleton - Just a Skeleton. Doesn't even have weapons. Has a mean punch though.

Skeleton Archer - A Skeleton that can use a bow.

Skeleton Warrior - A Skeleton that carries a sword and shield. Usually is defensive.

Zombie - Slow speed and a slow swing but hits extremely hard.

Ghost - Tends to be the most annoying among the monsters. Can fire blue fire at enemies and create healing runes that when stood on heals. Can only be damaged by magic but almost always dies instantly when hit by any form of magic.

Eyebat - A small bat with a large eye. Shoots blue orbs and when coming close to an Eyebat will almost always cause it to fly around in a panic.

Giant Rat - Large rats that will pounce at enemy adventurers to bite and scratch them.

Giant Spider - A large spider that leaves webbing to slow down adventurers and has a somewhat nasty bite. Can also drop down from the ceiling.

Crypt Slime - These slimes come in a yellowish grey color and fires its slimeglobs at undead allies instead of adventurers which cause undead to regenerate and become stronger.

Giant Snakes - Large snakes that have a nasty, poisonous bite. A simple antidote can cure anyone afflicted with the poison.

Wraith - A floating figure dressed similarly to the Spearman. Has glowing red eyes and fires green fire. Can only be damaged by magic.

These are the first few monsters you'd encounter for the first few floors of The Crypt.
