Cicadas buzzed constantly throughout her trip. Birds chirped, frogs croaked, wolves howled and a symphony of other creatures added their voices to the chorus that echoed through the forest. Nezon was amazed by what she had experienced in the past few days of travel. She had never spent much time away from her home or family having lived such a sheltered life most of what she’s seen was new to her. There was nothing to clean except for the entire forest and the animals and attempting to do any cleaning here was just a fool’s errand.

“I definitely regret making this decision. *sigh* Well Nezzie you’ve made your bed and now you have to sleep in it and there’s no point in going back without having seeing anything cool.”

Nezon trudged through the forest, leaves crushing under her every footstep, puddles draining into her gelatinous body and the occasional drop of rain landing on her new perky traveling form. “Plus if I go back now there’s no way I’ll be able to do anything like this again. I’ll lose my chance at finding a place and making it on my own.” *Sigh* My own store, my own home, my own MASTER~ “Ahhhh~” Nezon fawned over the idea of having a master all to herself, a man to serve, a man to live for… a man to love. Her one and only master not a father who she had to share. “I wonder what he’ll look like. I hope that he’s at least handsome…."

No obstacle gets in her way as she meanders through the forest. Fallen trees do not trip her as her feet are not solid and don't get caught on the rotting trunks. Mossy stone does not cause her to loose her balance as the tiny cilia that cover her body grip firmly to the microscopic imperfections on the stone. And all sudden rises and dropoffs do not hinder her as her body is slime and stretches to the top or bottom of precipice.

"I hope that he's tall. Oh! And nice and tanned!" Nezon looks at her hands as she starts to form her perfect man from her slime. "He definitely has to have some time to him. Hmmm... What else? It'd be nice if he was strong. Eeeeek! Just enough to carry me!" Nezon's cheeks become a dark lavender almost violet, her version of blushing, and she soon covers her face in shame and excitement. "I would do anything for him. Anything and everything. She looks down at her creation and sees that she made a replica of her father.

"Great! I wanted a man not a ill tempered pushover!" She crushes the effigy in her palm and grind victoriously. "Ha! That'll teach you! You stupid, ugly, silly..." Her grin quickly fades away as she doesn't have it in her heart to continue with her tirade. "Where are you dad?" She looks around the maze of trees and moss as if he would appear from behind one of them. "Why did you have to leave? Why did you go when I needed you the most?"

Nezon stops searching and crouches down hugging her knees. "Why? Why did you leave so suddenly?" Small drops form in the corner of her eyes and fall into the sea soaked moss adding a colored glint to the patch of green. "Couldn't you at least wait to say your final good by?"

"I was willing to wait for you to come around for us! The three of us... Even for Miss Aabi. But you didn't want that... All you wanted was a son... Am I not enough! What about Kathra! What about mom! WASNT SHE ENOUGH!"

The symphony of the forest continued on. It cared not for her or the world around her. All that mattered was its chorus and the song that would play ever after her visit. But something was off. A new instrument had made its debut in the orchestra. It was a strange and chaotic song. Never playing the same tone twice, always plucking multipe strings, multiple notes at once. It was a painful melody of emotions that crept upon the fortuitous chorus. At first it started innocently, a low buzzing, a droning sound that grew with intensity as it tried to overtake the main act. And overtake it it did. The new song was foreign to the forest but oh so familiar to her. It was soothing and beckoned her forward to it. The hymn was warm and embracing as it called out to her. Sweet nothing's whisked by her ears attempting to draw her in to the outstretched appendages creeping from the song. As if in a trance she stood up and made her way to the buzzing mass of dark lines; she stretched out her arm then a finger as she reached as she yearned to be one with the melody before her.

Just one more step.

Just one more stretch.

Just one more breath...

[Nezzie]

Nezon snaps out of her trance like state and looks for the origin of the voice. "Dad!" Her eyes frantically search the trees once more as she rushes from one to another only to find that it was all in her mind. For the only thing one can hear in the forest is the melody it choses to play and today is no special day to it. No fires have wrought it asunder and no battles have deposited their gory gifts into its soil. Only a young woman roaming this labyrinth of wood and stone and moss. For the forrest cares not for a being so small when it is so vast and neither should she care for it when the world is so great.
